The nail salon is located inside another salon and doesn't have their logo outside for display for you to even locate them. Poor selection of color well they barely have any colors. My gel manicure lasted me 5 days which is fine because I hated the way it looked. I am very expressive about my feelings and I did walk out with a disappointed look. Shafgupta was the manicurist that did my nails. She's good to have a conversation with but highly untalented when it comes to nails. She kept commenting on how my nails are weak. I always do 3 layers of gel color but they never looked thick and cakey. The sides of my nails looked awful as there's pieces of skin covered in polish or spots without polish. Despite my nails being weak that should have nothing to do with how awfully the polish was applied. My cousin even asked me if I did my nails at home because they didn't look professionally done at all. There's a $5 charge for nail polish removal which I did pay for as I had polish from before. This was my experience and I'd surely wont be back again!!

I was hoping this wasn't the place because it looked like it wasn't ready, ok now they take me to the back on the lower level. I get there and there was one person and the place downstairs looked a little nicer from the front I didn't get to see the back. But then the young lady makes a call and I'm guessing her boss to let her know that I have arrived. She tells her to send me to the other salon. Mmm ok I guess these salons are associated with each other. Great it gets better, I go around the block and when I arrive there was a few people getting their hair done and one nail technician working on a customer's nails. So they told me it would be a few more minutes. I made my appointment at 4 PM, it's now going on to 4:30 PM. He finally wraps up with her and it's my turn. He walks me over to the pedicure area, and the place is honestly filthy. The massages chairs did not work, it looked really old, the arm chair didn't go back down. So all this before we even get started. Ok cool. I chose my nail color and I told the nail tech I wanted French pedicure, his response was that it would be $5 extra dollars I said ok. But then I said I wanted it for both hands and feet he said ok $10 extra. I've NEVER heard $10 extra just to put a line on both of my feet and nails. So I decided to just stick with my hands for the French. We wrap up the pedicure and we go to the table for my manicure. All is great as mentioned, but then there's multiple flies buzzing around and landing on my purse my arm etc. Flies are disgusting and are obviously around for a reason in this establishment. It didn't seem to bother anyone but me. So here's the best thing (hear the sarcasm) to top off this manicure after the tech works on my nails and puts my fingers in the bowl of water there's a fucking baby roach in the bowl. And I didn't realize it until after I took my hands out. Ughhhh disgusting, but ok I don't flip. I just refuse to put my hands back in there. I just want him to finish my manicure so I can get out of this place. The tech kept insisting for me to put my hand back in there I said no look in the bowl. He's like oh wow laughed and changed the water. Mmm no thank you. The tech knows what he's doing, and takes pride in his work I can see that so I will give him the star. The establishment no thank you. Won't be trying this place again.

I walked in at 330 and walked out a little past 4 with a fresh blow out. The woman who did my hair was pleasant. I didn't want anything involved, and my blowout was no frills. She gave me nice volume with the velcro rollers. For $55, it's definitely worth stopping here for a blowout.

The couples package came with * 1 hour massage * 30 minutes private soaks with milk & honey scrub * 30 minutes in couples suite which includes jacuzzi tub & sauna Since it was my boyfriends birthday I requested rose petals like I had seen in the Yelp picture. I was a bit disappointed to see that it looked nothing like the picture and it was fake rose petals which I thought was weird. I'll give them an A for effort though although it looked nothing like the picture. The massage was amazing. She did a really great job. Most of my massages are pretty rough but she did a great job with light to medium pressure. I really liked the glass of champagne and the chocolate truffles. The private soak was nice but I really enjoyed the sauna. It was definitely a great experience. Came out feeling revitalized. My boyfriend really enjoyed the massage and the amenities.

It's great to come in, get my eyebrows threaded, and feel like the tip that I pay upon leaving is how much I actually paid. Even so, $3 + $2 leaves me with a measly $5 operation after which I feel like I am much more presentable to the world. After all, I have a really bad habit of not coming to get my eyebrows threaded until they're in a bad shape; they always have to reshape when I come :x It's recommended that you get your eyebrows threaded every 2 weeks so that there isn't as much pain. (I guess the pain comes from the shaping, rather than the trimming). Five minutes of agony and sometimes tears - girls, don't wear non-waterproof mascara or eyeliner if you plan on being seen in public afterwards - but it's totally worth it. The minutes are gone before you know it, and the soothing mini-massage of the brows with the aloe gel help tremendously. Both Manisha and Maggie are very nice, and they can be talkative if you want or silent while you concentrate on bearing out the pain. I tend towards the latter. :x For those who were not able to get the groupon, they do have a $5 threading early morning special from 10-11am! :) Everything else is pretty reasonably priced as well. The only con is that this is kind of out of the way for me, especially now that I go to school in Washington Heights; although I really like this place, I'm not thaaat willing to trek this far. There isn't really much around in this neighborhood, and I don't feel entirely safe walking around when it gets dark. You actually have to ring a bell before you can get buzzed in, which is a reasonable safety precaution, but ... yeah, that makes me feel uneasy. Overall, Eyebrows Threading Spa is very neat, well-kept, comfortable, and relatively painless. The whole experience is smooth, and the clean, tasteful interior is definitely NOT what you'd expect from the surrounding area during the trek to and from the nearby subway stations. Do not be alarmed by the area, either; it's not actually unsafe. I think. :)

We started off with the body scrub in a lowly lit room, which was soo relaxing and slightly resembled a massage done in a shorter time frame. The scrub felt super exfoliating and my skin was velvety soft afterwards. Next was the facial, which included all of the components, such as extraction, moisturizing, mask, and more. After that, it was time for the pedicure, and the lady prepared green tea and a plate of cookies, gummy candy, and crackers. They were pretty tasty, especially the satisfyingly chewy and sweet gummies, which were from Europe. I selected a deep red color for my toes. It felt nice to put my feet in the warm water and my toes looked great! For the manicure, I picked a shimmery hot pink from the OPI collection. The lady put a lot of care and time into painting my nails, and it really showed. I loved how my nails looked so shiny and smooth when done. She tells you what she thinks you want to hear about the treatment so that you will stick with her. But do thorough research. My new electrologist (and aesthetician of color) had to save my skin from Amy's improper yanking which broke so many hairs halfway underneath the skin that caused so many ingrown bumps that stayed for weeks! When I told Amy, she said this was normal. Of course it is not. What's worse, some technicians think just because your hair is coarse you have to up the probe's intensity so ridiculously high. I have a high pain tolerance but her treatments were so painful. Electrolysis should not that unbearably painful. Amy doesn't seem to be very inexperienced, especially for people with dark skintones and/or thicker hair. Please beware!

Stephanie brought me something to drink, gave me sleeves for my glasses so they wouldn't get dye on them, and brought cushions while washing my hair so I would be more comfortable.
