I've been coming to this laser center for over 8 years. I initially started with Brazilian and upper lip treatments with Phoebe, and over time I purchased multiple packages, eventually investing in full body treatments. I've spent thousands of dollars here and even referred several friends because I once trusted their services--largely due to technicians like Taina, who was excellent. Unfortunately, my experience with the owner, Adela, has been extremely disappointing. Over time, I noticed my hair growth was actually getting worse compared to when I used to shave. When I brought this up, instead of addressing the concern or trying to fix the issue, I was told it was my fault for not being consistent enough--and was immediately encouraged to purchase yet another package. I agreed at the time because Taina was still working there and I trusted her. However, she later left, and I was not informed ahead of time. After that, I continued treatments with Vanessa and repeatedly requested my treatment file to understand what settings were being used, since the results clearly weren't effective--especially after I had just spent another $1,400. Despite being told multiple times that my file would be sent, I didn't receive it until April 19--only after my services were abruptly canceled. I was told this was due to "profanity" and being "aggressive," which I find incredibly unfair given the situation. After years of loyalty, significant financial investment, and lack of results, frustration is a natural response. What's most disappointing is the lack of accountability and transparency. Instead of working with long-term clients to resolve concerns, the focus seems to be on selling more packages rather than delivering results. Idk what's going on with this place but I'm not happy with how my experience is. I've been a loyal client for few years now... my girl I usually go to is no longer there so I went to manager to do my laser. My laser lasted and I was pleased. Manager schedules appt for me to see her one last time before my wedding... I come in today for 10:45 bc they switched my appt time and I sat there still at like 11 waiting to be seen.. no one apologized for the wait or updated me on anything. I then get asked to come in room which person who was doing my laser was at the desk, again nothing was communicated. I asked where the manager was bc I had an appt with her and the response I received was that she's busy... I was upset bc that's not the response you should be giving being that I had an appt with her specifically!! And no one communicated anything with me even that someone else will be doing my laser. Then when I finished laser, manager who I originally was scheduled with was helping them ring me up... but they told me she was busy.... That left a bad taste in my mouth, manager didn't even apologize or say anything.... If she didn't want to do my laser then that could've been communicated. Everything was not communicated.Very sweet girl who performed my laser so nothing against her, but I feel like I'm not going to be returning anymore. I pay 100 and I feel like they mainly shave your face with razor and don't really gilet moneys worth with lasted . I shouldn't receive more razor shaving than laser. I felt like when I got my laser before when tainuh worked there she was actually giving me my moneys worth. I felt more laser then shaving which is why I always faithfully every month came to this place. Don't think I will be returning which is unfortunate. read more

I had laser hair removal on my chin after beginning to literally grow a chin strap beard. I found another laser place but wasn't confident in them as their customer service when I called to confirm my appointment was unprofessional. After searching for another one I came across vanity. From the minute I called to the minute I walked out I was so confident in my choice. Vanessa's customer service and all the information she provided me with was superb. After my first session I followed all the after care instructions, Exfoliating and e.t.c. Everything Vanessa told me occurred, the shedding faze, the falling of the hair , and then the smooth feeling. I am about 4 weeks out and I can honestly tell you the results after just one session are incredible. I have my next session next week and I cannot wait to complete all of them. I will preface by saying I have been going to vanity for almost a year and have not had any issues til today. In the middle of my session someone unannounced barged in during the middle of my bikini laser session which I thought was a bit unprofessional. Then when it was time to pay I was told I was out of sessions and that their prices had gone up but they could give me a discount if I wrote a yelp review for them but I had to write it while in the store show and show them the review to get a discount. I told them I was in a rush and would do later but they said ok do it next time and pay the higher price today. Sadly I'm not sure if there will be a next time. First you should reconsider your practices and not allow people to barge into sessions unannounced but also you should consider driving loyalty among your existing customers. I would have written a good review right after the session but honestly didn't feel right with the way you bribe customers putting them on the spot to write a review you then need to review for the customer to save a few bucks. Went into the Forest Hills office for a consult with Vanessa, I had already had 6 sessions at a different salon, but needed a touch up. Vanessa went over all the fees at that consult, I need a lot of sites done, and booked my appt. When I came in I was taken in exactly on time, and Vanessa really knew her way around the machine. She adjusted the settings as needed and was quick and thorough, the machine used was also one of the newer models which made things more comfortable. They share an office with an OBGYN so I was a little skeptical at first. But the staff are licensed aestheticians. Phoebe was so knowledgeable and amazingly sweet. A woman finally answered the phone on Monday and said there is a waitlist and they would call me back if there's an opening. I called Tuesday with no answer and it's now Wednesday. Please do not book an appointment here if you want to keep your sanity. I've been trying to book an appointment with them for microblading since JANUARY 2020. My appointment was cancelled due to COVID (which I completely understand). However, they have been giving me the runaround every time I tried to reschedule my appointment. Every time I called they claimed I was on a waiting list and that they would call me back. When I finally was able to book an appointment (after like 10 months) it was cancelled the day before because the artist had a "family emergency". The second time I booked my appointment, it was cancelled the day of because her "flight was delayed and they had no details". They stated a manager would call me back and it has been a week since and still no call. They rarely even pick up the phone when you call.
