DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE OF CHOOSING AUDIO EXPRESS!!!!! I am writing this review to share my unfortunate experience with Audio Express that cost me thousands of unneeded dollars. I had a high end stereo system in my Tacoma that was to be transferred to my new Tundra. The bar was set high because I know what a high end stereo system should sound like and Audio Express did not have the "know how" to reproduce that high end sound in my Tundra. Through a series of very bad recommendations that caused 7-10 trips back to their shop for a patched and botched install, I wasted a lot of time and money to end up with my high end equipment sounding subpar. Audio Express was not capable of, or competent to, plan and execute the install. Later, recently, I also discovered the amateur sound deadening job they did that was not even close to what is required for high end equipment. Overall I spent approximately $8,700 and I already had top of the line 2-way components for the front stage (JL Audio ZR-650csi). Their focus on getting me to spend the most money possible has left me deeply regretting my decision to use their services. Any good car audio installer worth their salt will help the client not only choose the right equipment for their install but also help them understand the pitfalls they might fall into if the customer does not make the right choices with their system. In my case I was provided several bad recommendations in which Audio Express led me through the ringer. It was not until I sought advice from another installer that I was able to start getting on the right track with my stereo system. Recently I went back to Audio Express to try to give them an opportunity to make things right...they refused. In addition, they told I could sell the unneeded equipment on Offer Up. Wow...talk about zero accountability and workmanship. It does not matter that the equipment has been used for a few months because they knowingly sold it to me without care about its need and feasibility. I had to go to Kartunes and spend an additional $4,000 to fix the laundry list of problems due to the shoddy work and advice of Audio Express, please see the comparison pics below. Please don't make the same mistakes I did with using Audio Express. Keep in mind, they are going to try and respond this review with some nonsense response. They have completely lost sight of the customer and I recommend going to Kartunes where the customer comes first and the quality of the install is second to none! Again see the pics below, they say everything! read more

Jon & his crew replaced my factory MyFordTouch system when no one else could! The APIM (accessory protocol interface module) in my 2012 Ford Focus died, leaving me a blank screen and no sound in my vehicle. After a trip to the dealership I learned that just to get sound they would have to replace the factory system, which alone costs $600 before installation and laborI wasn't looking to pay that much for an 8-year-old system so I started saving money and I went to four different audio specialists who all said the same thing: "THERE IS NO INSTALLATION KIT FOR MYFORDTOUCH. WE CAN'T DO IT." (Except one guy quoted me $1000 without looking up any information about the vehicle... ) Then I went to Audio Express. They were immediately intrigued by the situation and said they would love to take on the challenge. I brought my car in after work the next day, and they immediately got to work. Within an hour, they found a solution and let me know it could be done. Not only that, but they were able to upgrade my system to a new CarPlay compatible model that connects to my iPhone in ways MyFordTouch never could. Most importantly, I had SOUND! Lastly, the new system didn't quite fit in the space of the 8 inch touchscreen, which I said was fine by me, but they weren't satisfied until everything was perfect. So I brought the car in one last time and not only did they make it fit seamlessly, they were able to connect it to my STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS which was one more thing the other audio "experts" said could not be done. I cannot thank them enough for their patience and willingness not only to do the IMPOSSIBLE, but to do it RIGHT, and for a GREAT VALUE NEED HELP WITH YOUR AUDIO? GO SEE THEM. NOW. We have a 2002 Tahoe that is getting a make over and the car stereo was a very important part. We got an estimate from another store and then went to Audio Express. My husband and I were greeted by Reggie who made us feel like we were in the best of hands. We told him what we were looking for and he walked us through every part of putting a great sound system together for our car. We didn't feel overwhelmed or pressure to purchase more than we could afford or things that we didn't need or want. He was very professional and sincere and in my opinion has the best customer service skills out there!! We handed him an itemized list from the competitor that we had gone to for a system that was LAST YEARS model and the competitions price was $800 more!! Reggie put a newer and better system in our car for $800 less. We were so happy. He then gave the list to his associate Jesus and h saw that we had gotten estimates on new upholstery, carpet and headliner and he said, "I CAN PUT YOU IN TOUCH WITH PEOPLE WHO DO AWESOME WORK FOR WAY BETTER PRICES!!" And he did just that. Reggie and Jesus went beyond the call of duty to really help us get what we wanted for far less than the other guy was going to charge us. We have made friends and it is wonderful feeling to know Audio Express provides excellent equipment without breaking the bank but topped off with outstanding customer service. We will never shop around when we need something that they can provide. There's no need to go anywhere else. We love you guys!! Thank You Again and Again, Courtney and Randy Bongard read more

We have been customers of Audio Express since the late 1990's. We bought our daughters 1st stereo from them for the "$1 install". I recently bought a 2015 Mazda5 Touring wagon and wanted to get an alarm and electric start on the vehicle. Can you say cool the car before you get in it. Yeah. So we went straight to Audio Express and were helped by a great sales guy, Jesus, I told him what I wanted and he gave me my options with the prices. He explained that some systems were upgradeable and some were not so that could be a factor. So after being given all the facts we decided to go with the Viper alarm with the electronic start for my vehicle. Because we got such a great deal and Jesus was so great to work with we decided to bring in our other vehicle and have the same thing installed In it. My husband is very happy with the extra bonus. I would recommend anyone who needs any stereo, speaker, amplifiers, alarms, electric start, or anything that they sell they should definitely check out Audio Express. The crew does awesome work and the sales people are awesome. Jesus helped us out so much. We will continue to be customers due to excellent service. Marcia Bushnell read more

I just wanted an updated unit for my 2010 Towne and country touring. The new ones have back up cameras, serius xm radio, GPS and blue tooth. Factory add on for my bred and butter one disk cd and that's it was $400 I'm sure it cost the dealer less than $100 and was marked up fat, after all it's just a very simple bare bones radio. In fact I see hundreds of these RDS factory take outs on eBay for around $40. Called and the guy said my unit was shit, junk and I replied it worked flawless but I'm handicapped and need the other features. He said out the door for around $1.200 for a unit I could be proud of and pass down from car to car, they would reinstall my junk shit unit for free when I got rid of my van, and put the $1200 unit n my new car. Then came the install , no more free install like on tv all the time, if my memory is correct it was $90 per half hour plus parts, or $90 per hour, and in my case because my van was a Chrysler and the entire wiring of the vehicle was centered around the function of the radio, (can bus high speed or low speed ) it could take some time.then he said quickly bring it in now! We'll do the paperwork and take you home. read more

Proud New Owner of a Pioneer in dash DVD: 02/13/12 I'm the over analyzing shop everywhere and compare prices everywhere type of buyer. I live by a "3 Store minimum rule": Shop at LEAST 3 stores before committing to any large ticket item. In this case I shopped online, B-Buy, and some other Rinky Dink places. So u would think all Audio Express stores are comperably priced? Well guess again! The same Pioneer 4300 double din DVD player was $190 LESS on the sticker price at the Chandler store! Although the other sales Rep did offer a $50 discount, it still didn't justify the $140 difference! The staff (especially Pat) is extremely friendly, fun, upbeat and professional! Our installation was done the same day in less than 3 hours! The installers even gave my husband a quick course on how to use the DVD player. If u want a great deal and a very pleasant car audio experience I recommend you shop at the Chandler store! My husband LOVES the Pioneer in his Galant and I love the great deal we got on it! Thanks again guys! Steph & D. read more

i wanted more bass in my factory car stereo and they delivered what i wanted and more. Zane was my salesman and he was very knowledgeable about the products and knew exactly what i was looking for by my description. he showed me some products, but i was worried that it wouldnt give me the bass i wanted. he assured me that it would, so i trusted him. the day i THOUGHT was my appointment, wasnt, and i was having a bad day. i am sure i was B@#tchy but they handled it in stride. we got another appointment set up and i got my speakers installed. Tyler was the Technician that installed my unit and he did a great job. no broken plastic or wires hanging out. you cant even tell that they did anything to my car. as far as value, i dont know how to quantify that. how do you quantify the value of a concert, or a football game? i just know it sounds perfect and i love it. i really love my speakers and amp. they sound wonderful, and i want to give my sincerest thanks to the people of Audio Express. Thank you Very Much!!! read more

I really like my new radio and the fact that they were able to get it done in one afternoon was nice. However, I was told a week earlier that it would be about $200 cheaper than it actually ended up being. The man who told me the cost when I went in for an estimate didn't even ask to see my vehicle. Even when I asked, are you sure, he just assured me that it would be a certain price. When I went in to have it done, I decided to get speakers as well because it was going to be cheaper than I anticipated in the first place. Now, even without me adding the speakers, it was so much more money. They also cracked one of my original speakers and then tried gluing it back together. I gess it is as good as they could get it. They never told me that they cracked it too, I just noticed it on my own. A little unprofessional, but overall, I am glad to have an updated radio. read more

Once again Audio Express exceeded my expectations. I brought in my Chrysler 300 to get a new receiver, amp, and kick box installed. This job is expected to take several hours. Although I wasn't in a hurry, Jesus called me less than two hours later saying the install was complete. Upon arrival, I was completely blown away by the level of service. Also, the quality of the install is second to none. Not to mention that the stereo sound blew me away! This is the 3rd vehicle I've brought in and I seriously doubt I will ever go anywhere else for future stereo installation. These guys have always been straight up and honest with me. They've got my business for years to come. read more

Jesus Ramirez and the entire staff are stand up guys. There was no audio intimidation. They were professional and made me feel comfortable from the word, Welcome! I didn't feel like Jesus was pushy or talking over my head because I'm a woman by using unnecessary electronic jargon. He was clear, concise, upfront and fully disclosed the logistics of my transaction. No financial surprises or hidden fees. Very easy to talk to and helpful. He showed me a range of options without being overwhelming. I had choices from price to "bells & whistles" based on what I told him I wanted for my Mercedes. He really listened. I highly recommend these guys. read more

Jesus was my sales person and while the price was a little more than I wanted to spend, he assured me that he could get all the work done that day. They installed an in dash GPS system, remote start and rear view camera in my 2010 dodge truck. As it was after 12:00 I was hesitant but he assured me that everything would be fine. At 6:00 I received a call saying everything was complete and I could pick up my vehicle. So far everything is working as should and even though I paid a little more than I wanted to, the work was done extremely quickly and I drove home that night with everything I asked for. UPDATE: 2 stars to 5 I had some concerns regarding the time it took to install, some technical questions, etc. I was left with a bad impression initially but the store manager (John) took the time and called me. He answered all my questions sufficiently and sincerely. I have no regrets about going to this store for my sub-woofer upgrade. I think I became unhappy originally because of another recent experience with a custom lighting company that left me nervous about a few things...but those open questions are now resolved. read more

I went in looking to get a couple things installed and ended up leaving with a few more. I was working with Jesus R who helped me out. He was real knowledgable and worked with me on everything. Once installed, he came out and showed me all the set ups and how well it worked. He was almost as excited as I was as everything turned out really great! Was happy with the service and the final product sounds amazing. I would suggest asking for Jesus. He'll work with ya and really knows his products/systems. read more

Great experience! These guys are fantastic! I was having problems with getting a signal on my XM radio which I purchased from them last year. I gave them a call and Jesus informed me that the radio needed a software update. Nick met me at the counter and got it going right away, they did the update and I was out of there in less than an hour. The whole crew was extremely helpful and friendly. I will recommend Audio Express in Chandler to everyone. read more

All I have to say is I got a killer deal on a new sound system thanks to Jesus! Went in to get a new sound system on our boat and I ended up trying to get my Mini Cooper subwoofers and installing subwoofers in a mini isn't easy and he made it a very reasonable price and to this day I'm happy with my sound system in both, the boat and the mini. read more

These guys are great, Jesus didn't try to pressure me into buying something I really didn't need. He listened to what I wanted and then he gave it to me. The install was beautiful, looked great considering it was an in dash navigation unit that was replacing a factory radio / cd player. You can't go wrong getting your goodies here. read more
