Great restaurant. We luckily got there around 7:20pm Saturday evening without a reservation and was luckily seated. The parties coming in afterwards without reservations unfortunately we're not as lucky. The service was top notch, menu was both in French and English, wine selection was great and the food was delicious. The waiters spoke English and that was helpful for us when ordering. Highly recommended but make sure you book a reservation early. Tip to Americans: make every attempt to learn the basics (hello, please, thank you). It goes far and they always appreciate it. If you're paying with CC, be sure to tell them to add an additional cost to it when they run the CC or just leave cash for tip.

My friend and I had dinner at this restaurant at the recommendation of the concierge at our hotel nearby. Wow! What a wonderful experience! We spent nearly five hours in here just relaxing and enjoying the delicious food and wine. Our server, Fanny, was absolutely lovely. She had patience with our attempts to speak French and recommended many items, all of which were delicious. We both ordered the Rossini which included appetizer, entree, dessert, mineral water, wine and coffee for 37 euros. We allowed her to choose the wine and were pleased with her selection. Everything we ate and drank was heavenly. We talked and laughed and just thoroughly enjoyed this dining experience in the beautiful city of lights.

They didn't speak much English at all, but they were very friendly and seated us right away. We were out late and a lot of places were closed, so we were happy to find this place. They sat us in a little room with no other people - so it was sort of odd at first, but it was a very nice atmosphere - linen cloths.. pretty glass separators. reminded me of an old french movie.. The server spoke no English, but she was very friendly. The wine was really good, but the cocktails were sort of weird, my friend trying to have a Vodka martini got this high ball with lots of vodka and a splash of vermouth - but she said even though it didn't look much like a martini, it was good. I really liked the Dover Sole.. very buttery and melted in my mouth. Eventually they say another man in the same room with us, he was also English speaking and there on business by himself, so we chatted a bit with him and he seemed happy to find other American's to chat with while we had dinner. It was sort of cute, like they put us next to each other on purpose. Even though they didn't speak much English, they made up for it with being very friendly and really working to understand what we wanted. Very cute late night spot.

Osso bucco on specials was okay. Lacked flavor

So this place was the only place open at around 10:00pm in the area. We thought the ambiance was nice so stepped foot in here. The menu is quite "upscale" and so is the interior of the restaurant so we had high hopes. Osso bucco (May special menu) - 1 star. The dish lacked flavor and the meat was okay. It came with a macaroni gratin which was unbelievably bland. I'm talking no flavor at all except just the cream that they used. I almost think they forgot to put any seasoning in this dish. Steak dish with frites- 4 star. The sauce was incredibly well done and the steak had great flavor. Service was great. Would we go back? Maybe for the steak but the price is steep for the quality of food. I'd go elsewhere.

The food was great but overpriced. The menu is nearly the same as what you can get in any French restaurant. The chicken thigh with vegetables was delicious. Service was spot on French service (polite and not overbearing); they even switched out the beef fillet (without hesitation) when we said it was too rare. Overall, it was a good experience and worth it if you want to splurge on a classic French meal. Btw, it was a bit warm inside the restaurant (in summer) so dress accordingly (no dining in a 3 piece suit). Update: had a couple more dinners at other places and the steak and French onion soup here were definitely the best!

Had a very nice dinner here last night, real old school Parisian Bistro. Started with Galleon oysters, very tasty, these oysters from this producer have a very faint saline flavour, fully focussed on the oyster flavour, very good. For main I had steak tartare, green salad, and house frites. My only reservation was the lack of seasoning in the vinegrette, my colleague tells me that this is to accommodate tourist palates, it was too bland. To drink we had a delicious 1997 chinon Loire red, which was very good with the tartare

The steak and frites was DELICIOUS! We also enjoyed all the bread they served, which may have made us full prior to the entrees. The mashed potatoes were delicious as well as the wine. The service is ok overall

3 course lunch plus wine, mineral water & coffee Euro 37pp, good deal in Paris.Located close by Galleries Lafayette 1st course was a very good gazpacho or an equally good green lentil salad, we chose for mains Quennelle , I never had before, I never will again but I can't say it was well done or not well done , just not too my liking, my wife had salmon which we have eaten much better at home, dessert was Creme brûlée & Rum Baba both decent followed by coffee, service was professional , attentive all in all a good example of French lunch time, not really wow, but for the price above average for this high rent area

These smaller bistro type eateries are the lifeblood of the local cuisine. They consistently offer reasonably priced dishes that are full of flavor and technique. The wine and drink options are well catered to the menu and they provide options for most price points. The service we experienced was exactly what you want... our server had plenty of suggestions based on the offerings of the day. The service was attentive and responsive... not much more than you could ask for. I had the duck breast being offered... it was served alongside crispy potatoes, green beans, and a salad. Adding in the onion soup and a glass of wine... it quickly became a King's dinner at a very reasonable price. I would be more than happy to eat here again and look forward to exploring the rest of the menu offering many local and classic French options.

Like others have said, it's super small inside, so you'll get to know your neighbors really well. But your attention will be more focused on the food they bring out. I had the lamb with thyme sauce and my wife had the confit duck leg. Don't be afraid to pick the sauce of the day over the regular honey sauce. The sauce of the day on the day we went was a blackberry sauce which was crazy good. With a bottle of wine at 24 euros and both entrees under 20 euros, you couldn't really beat a meal of that quality in many places around Paris for that price. It was only after I ate at Le Potager did I see it had a bunch of great reviews on Yelp. It's definitely earned all those stars.

Making a reservation isn't hard but you do need to email them and there's no online booking system. You also have to confirm again 1-2 days before. I understand they are small with a limited number of tables so that's fair and it seemed like everyone showed up even though they don't require a deposit. On a Friday night, it didn't appear there was much chance or walking in although there were like 2 open seats at what would have been a shared table. The menu is small and includes some typical French starters, steaks, 3 non steak entrees, cheeses, and dessert. All steaks come with potatoes, 3 sauces, salad. Service was a highlight. The waiter was personable and funny, had solid recommendations, and made sure leftovers were taken home. Also had a solid wine recommendation after asking some questions. They probably get a lot of people who don't speak French and they had no problem speaking English. The food- ordered a ribeye medium rare. The steak was so so charred on the outside and it almost ruined the whole thing. I really wish they would have charred it way less especially when it was ordered medium rare. There is seared and then there is burnt; this was sadly the latter. The steak itself was fine, honestly nowhere near the best meat I have had but the price is quite reasonable for how much you get. I would say the steak was maybe 6/10 for me, largely due to the cooking. The fries were phenomenal. Definitely a highlight and really tasty and with a great texture. Salad was good, pretty typical. I wanted to like the sauces more but found them just okay. The best by far for me was the blue cheese sauce but even this one I thought the flavors could have popped a little more. Atmosphere was fun, there were a few bigger groups (6-8 which is the biggest they accommodate) but it never got unreasonably loud. Overall I wanted to love it but was a bit disappointed even though the service and fries were both great.

It's a tiny restaurant, so if you're a party of two, you might share a table with others, but they have spacers so you don't feel like you're eating together. Reservations were easy to make. You email in your requested sitting and someone will get back to you shortly. We were able to get in a little ahead of schedule and start the adventure. Wines were reasonably priced and they had a good variety of cocktails. We hadn't had French onion soup on our trip, so we ordered it as an appetizer. Sometimes it can get a little salty, but these were very well blended. Sacree Fleur seems to be known for their steak and frites, so we ordered the steak for two. Steak comes out on a sizzling platter. You can turn the pieces over to keep cooking until your preferred temperature. It was quite succulent and the fries were well prepared. There are two dipping sauces and some salt to season your meal. We hadn't a great time and way too much food :)

We were so looking forward to the frog legs, onion soup and other delicacies pictured. We got there and the sign was just as it was with the same name -- Au Pied du Sacre Coeur. We should've noticed something was wrong when no one was inside. When the waiter (lone person working along with cook) gave us the menu, my wife and I stared at each other completely confused. The menu looked nothing like the ones on this website and featured Italian food items, like spaghetti, arroz con pollo or mozarella. I asked him about frog legs or the onion soup. He looked confused and just said no. Out of respect for him, we just ordered the charcuterie, which featured stale bread and a few slices of meat taken from my local grocery store in the U.S. Also -- they claimed to not accept any international credit cards.
