    Achari Chicken Tikka
    Manisha M.

I have only good things to say about this place. My sister and I wanted to have rajma and rice and found that this place had it on their menu. As soon as you walk up, you're greeted by people standing outside having street style pani puri. It makes it feel very much like India which I've missed! The rajma was delicious as was the Aachari Chicken. The quantities are geared more towards a single serving over family style but still plenty! We ended dinner with a round of Pani Puri. It was the best ending to our meal and wish we had room for more! Everyone at this establishment is so kind and welcoming. We both loved it and will definitely be back for more

I had tried food from their truck before and loved it so was excited to see them open a restaurant. ***USP: authentic Punjabi style food. ***AMBIANCE: not much, a handful of tables and they make hot jelebi outside. ***FOOD: some dishes were outstanding, others not so much. *Nimbu chicken: 5/5: definitely get this, the gravy was finger licking good. *Malai paneer tikka:3/5: avoid this, the paneer was cut into large chunks, had no flavor infused. The gravy or marinade it came with didn't help redeem the dish as well. *Soy chaap: 4/5: pales in comparison to the chicken. No smoky tandoor flavor as well. The gravy is good but the nimbu chicken just outshines this. *chole kulche:3/5: this was disappointing, the chole were lackluster and flavorless. The kulche were decent but way too charred. *Jelebi:3/5: too much sugar! My sugar loving cousin felt it was too sweet as well.

This review is based on two separate visits and across both trips we made it a point to explore the menu thoroughly by ordering a wide variety of dishes. Atulya Bharat delivers consistency, depth of flavor, and a truly refined North Indian experience.Beyond phenomenal and every single bite screams authenticity. Parking is usually easy to find as its located in a strip mall type location with ample parking spaces. We ordered Tawa Masala Chicken, Afghani Soya Chaap, Achari Chicken Tikka, Handi Chicken, Palak Paneer, Bhuna Gosht some Rumali Rotis and Kulchas. The spice balance is spot on, bold yet never overpowering. Each dish stands on its own while maintaining a cohesive flavor profile throughout the meal. Many of the preparations carry a clear Mughlai touch and finish, with slow-cooked gravies, layered aromatics, and a richness that comes from well-developed masalas rather than just heat. The Bhuna Gosht was deep, robust, and cooked just right. The Handi Chicken had a comforting, homestyle richness, while the Achari Chicken Tikka delivered that perfect tang without overwhelming the palate. The Afghani Soya Chaap was indulgent and creamy, and the Palak Paneer felt both wholesome and satisfying. Fresh Rumali Rotis (which definitely can be a hit or miss - was hit outta the park in this case) and soft Kulchas tied everything together beautifully. The interior decor is clean, tasteful, and to the point not overwhelming, but thoughtfully done, letting the food remain the star. The tea is decent and can be tried as well. As a fun bonus, they also serve paani puri outside the restaurant, perfect if you're in the mood for a quick chaat fix before or after your meal. Atulya Bharat focuses on authentic flavors, technique, and consistency, and it shows in every aspect of the experience. This is a place you return to not just for cravings, but for a genuinely satisfying, well-executed Indian meal. Highly recommended and firmly on our repeat list.

L-R : Chef Special - BUTTER CHICKEN, Achari Chicken Tikka, complimentary green chutney
    Chandrika B.

Tried this for a home delivery via uber eats. The price seemed high but quality, portion size and taste was decent so i would still recommend it!! In $56, we got: - butter chicken - 5/5 - we asked it to be spicy and it was. Loved it!! - achari chicken tikka - 4/5 - i liked the touch of gravy when u expect a dry item. I feel the salt was more than what i would like. One can pair it with rice and it would taste 5/5 :) Overall a new taste which was tempting - parantha - 5/5 - home like square parantha. For the price, they should offer 2 parathas in that price instead of 1 - garlic naan - 3/5 - average and nothing that stood out but also it wasn't bad. It paired well with butter chicken. They did give green chutney on side which was a good addition,

Ordered on line which makes it super easy and convenient. The bad part was I ordered for pick up at 5:30pm. Got there at 5:45 and food was still being prepared in kitchen. Didn't seem to have enough staff cuz when someone came around to ask me and confirm my order, it took more time to package. Don't judge. I'm used to picking up and go especially when I come 15-20 min after the pick up time. Small restaurant but with enough tables for people to dine in. Food overall 3.4 stars. Butter chicken: 4 stars. tender chicken chunks. Sauce was good. Paneer dish: sorry forgot the name. Decent 3 stars. Samosa and chickpeas with tamarind sauce : very good. The tanginess help offset the spice flavors for the other dishes.

UPDATE: Straight up 5 ***** especially now that rude ass mofo at the front is not there. The food was always excellent here, the service was a bit something to be lacking. Also this place never felt like a restaurant before, but now they have actual plates and silverware...what a difference that makes! #FlavorGalore: ~ Aaloo Tikki Chaat - 5/5 So much flavor; a culinary compendium of a flavor rainbow. A little sweet, a little spicy, a little heat, all delish! Such an amazing combination with the Chutneys and Chaat Masala. ~ Chicken Lababdar Combo - 5/5 Perfectly cooked Chicken thigh in tangy Tomato sauce. So much flavor. Doesn't look like much at first, but its filling. Came with naan and rice. ~ Bhuna Gosht Combo - 5/5 Tender pieces of perfectly cooked Goat cooked with spices. Another dish full of flavor! Came with naan and rice. It looks like they expanded the menu with some more dishes since the last time I was here. I'll be back to try the entire menu...

Tried this place for dinner last night. It's located in a small shopping center. Upon entering you walk up to the register and there is a machine you can order at. We asked the worker for recommendations and ordered the butter chicken and chicken lababdar with garlic naan. You can sit anywhere you want. Our food took about 15 minutes and they put it at the counter and you pick up your order. They have free water available. Food was served in these nice silver bowls, however they don't offer plates. They had paper plates at the counter that you would have to get yourself. The flavors were good and not spicy for me. I really enjoyed the garlic naan and the butter chicken. The worker was friendly and it seems like business was picking up when we left. I'd recommend.

    Butter Chicken Combo (Rumali Roti)

This is a new casual spot found in the neighborhood. Came here because I was craving Pani Puri. They day it up outside and the quality was great. The Butter chicken and roti combo is a tastey. Loved it with the basmati rice. My daughter loved the Samosas. They come with two dipping chutneys. You order through a kiosk and the service is quick and casual. Staff was friendly and place was clean. I'm really happy we have a Pani Puri spot in the neighbirhood. I went back again the next night! Can't wait to try other dishes in the menu.

Went here with my family to dine in. Ordered using a kiosk which had the menu items properly listed with pictures. Made it easy to choose what to order. The food came out fairly quickly as well. 1. Achari Chicken with Rumali roti: The chicken was very flavorful and tender. 2. Achari Soya chaap: This was also very flavorful. 3. Tandoori Broccoli: This is the first time I had broccoli in this form. I was presently surprised by the taste. Had that charred flavor to it. 4. Chole Bhature: Kids loved this. Wasn't too spicy. 5. Amritsari Fish: I liked the taste but I feel the amount of dhaniya (coriander seeds) were slightly more than I could handle. Overall, everything here was very tasty.

Pay using Zelle and you'll get a free dessert! We got 2 pieces of galub jamun. Order the usual pay then when you get the total, let them know so you can scan their Zelle QR code. We ordered the Nimbu chicken, Afghani soya chaap, dahi puri, and one of the chaats but it was unavailable so they gave us a different one and I didn't catch the name. Everything was so good! The dahi puri and chaat were bursts of flavor. The Afghani soya chaap was unlike anything I've ever had. It definitely tasted fusion. The meat was tender and kind of spongy in texture, the sauce had a little heat to it. The star for me was the Nimbu chicken. It was sooooo tender and juicy and the sauce was citrusy and delicious. I think it would've been better with rice. I would come back for any of these dishes! I am curious to try their other chicken dishes now though if they're all going to be cooked that well! The galub jamun came out fresh and warm and was not as sweet as other places I've tried, which is a good thing. However, it was still just ok for me.

    Nimbu Chicken - this is a must - 5 out of 5!
    Knicole Y.

Overall 4.5 out of 5! Food: 5 out of 5 Their Nimbu Chicken is an absolute STAR! Their other dishes are also delicious and worth the try. We especially love their appetizers including the corn bowl and Nimbu Chicken. Have you ever had Indian food that left you feeling somewhat thirsty/dehydrated after 1-2 hours? This place does not leave you with that feeling at all. I really think that their food is well prepared, seasoned, and cooked. The style of ordering is online through QR codes on the table or the huge tablet at the cashier. They'll happily deliver your meals at your table. The restaurant ambiance is nice and casual. For the portions, the meals are leaning on the pricier side, but I'll gladly pay that for great quality and well prepared food. The only real feedback I have is that they are serving their meals on disposable utensils and plates. Using disposable paper plates or bowls is not usually a problem, but I'm not a fan of using plastic utensils on my freshly cook meals... it also does not look as nice on my Yelp pictures *wink*

    Chaat
    Pinky B.

I came here on a Sunday afternoon. The First Impression: Walking in, you're immediately hit with an amazing aroma of spices that promises authentic, well-prepared food. Unfortunately, that's where the positive first impression ends. Nearly every empty table was cluttered with remnants from previous diners, and one corner had accumulated a concerning tower of dirty dishes. It's not exactly the welcome you'd hope for. The Ordering Process: The system is straightforward but impersonal: you order and pay at a large screen near the entrance, then wait for your name to be called. There's no table service, which would be fine if it felt intentional rather than neglectful. The setup feels more like a food court than a restaurant. Where They Absolutely Shine: The Food Despite the service shortcomings, the kitchen delivers exceptional dishes that showcase real skill and authentic flavors. *The Chaat was a perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy elements that hit every taste bud. My only complaint? The flimsy plastic utensils made it nearly impossible to enjoy properly. *The Kulcha and Chole was outstanding. The bread arrived warm and pillowy soft, while the chickpea curry was rich with complex spicing and just the right consistency. This dish alone justifies a visit. The Kadhi and Roti were less successful--the Kadhi was surprisingly mild and creamy with 2 pakoras rather than the tangy yogurt-based dish I expected. More puzzling was the decision to serve the on the same plate as our kulcha, forcing two dishes to jostle for space on the same plate that neither dish benefited from. The Bottom Line: The kitchen clearly knows what they're doing, but the front-of-house experience suggests they're treating dine-in customers as an afterthought. The contrast between the food quality and overall experience is jarring. Ratings: Food: (Genuinely impressive flavors and technique) Service & Atmosphere: (Needs immediate attention) My Recommendation: Order takeout. You'll get the same excellent food without the frustrating dining experience. To the Restaurant Owners: If you're reading this, you're sitting on something special with your kitchen. A few simple changes could transform the entire experience: *Assign someone to clear and wipe tables regularly *Invest in proper utensils--your food deserves better than plastic *Use separate plates for different dishes *Consider the dine-in experience as seriously as you do the food I'm genuinely rooting for this place. The food quality shows real passion and skill--now the service just needs to catch up.

If you are craving for good north indian food like Tandoori momos, Achari soya chaap , and deserts like jalebi. This place is for you. They have amazing rumali roti combo with achari soya chaap. They have good service with decent ambiance.

Somewhat crunchy and mildly sweet yet spicy and flavorful. YUM! Will for sure be back to pick up more food. Price is fair and serving size is pretty generous - great value! Will definitely be coming back to pick up yummy indian food (and more Gobhi Manchurian!) ---How I Rate on Yelp:--- (5 stars): Exceptional!! -- food, service, and atmosphere all outstanding. Worth going out of your way. (4 stars): Great! -- very good experience overall, minor flaws but nothing major. (3 stars): Good -- decent, acceptable, but there's room for clear improvement. (2 stars): Poor -- disappointing experience, multiple issues (food, service, or setting). (1 star): Terrible -- very bad experience, would not return or recommend.

At our last order they didn't honor our requests for non-spicy, and everything was quite spicy and…read moregave me heartburn, so unfortunately we won't be returning. All the dishes we've tried were vegetarian, and it's nice to have a decent Indian restaurant in the neighborhood. We recommend: Samosas--good, large, piping hot, a little spicy, good sauces (though there are a couple places in San Jose that make even better sauces) Malai kofta--good Mango lassi--delicious Plain Naan--ok-good Kaju Paneer Masala: good, kofta-like sauce, it took a little getting used to the salted cashews included in halves Mixed Vegetables: tasted better after the first day--good from second day onward, and very generous portions Karahi Paneer: good and generous portions Wouldn't get again: Navratam korma--didn't like the flavor of the sauce nor inclusion of potato Paneer do pyaza--ok Garlic naan--ok, Trader Joe's garlic naan is better Assorted vegetable pakoras--burnt on outside, mushy & bland on inside Paneer Tikka Masala--tasty sauce, though the flat paneer they used is tough and chewy in an unpleasant way, so we threw those out and used this kofta-like sauce over our own vegetables Baingan Bhartha (Spicy): we were warned by the menu, but this was very spicy and I prefer to cook or purchase my bengan bharta mild so I can appreciate the flavors
