Amazing Indian food, I got the lamb korma and butter chicken in the dinner for 2. Flavors were great, the butter chicken almost had a bit of coconut flavor last time I went, but was creamy and delicious. Lamb korma tasted pretty authentic and delicious. Meats were tender in the curries. The garlic naan was quality. I'd definitely regular the place. Mango lassi was fire as well. Prices are great, 65 ish before taxes and tip for 1 chicken, 1 lamb, samosa starter, gulab jamun, and this one other dessert. Added 1.99 per person for mango lassi.

    Chicken Biryani

I did UberEats and picked up food from this restaurant. They were busy so I was curious about their food. I ordered chicken briyani (medium spicy) and vegetables pakoras. Both were very delicious! The briyani was spicy and on point. The chicken was tender and well marinated. The pakoras were delicious too (crispy and not greasy). They open late and if you're craving some spicy briyani, try this authentic Indian place. It won't disappoint you. They also have lunch buffet on Thursday till Sunday $18.99/pp. The restaurant was clean and organized. Will definitely come back again.

    Delicious naan

Pretty great Northern Indian food. While the buffet is good with plenty of choices and frequently replenished supplies, I especially love to order off the menu. This way it's obviously cooked to order, and as such is piping hot and extra delicious. The Lamb Sag is hearty with a creamy structures built around the fresh spinach, lamb slices, and cream (perhaps cheese). Like most entrees, I think it comes with a complementary bowl of rice. Same with the butter chicken - savory, a tad sweet, and all so good. We also ordered naan - the Garlic. Crispy, bouncy, a bit charred - it was almost like a pizza at some familiar standbys. We drank a lot of water - and had to ask again and again for more. Not sure why the waiter didn't just leave a pitcher with us. Anyway, I definitely recommend Punjab Cafe.

We came over for dinner. Everything was really good, especially the dal tadka, garlic, naan and Malai kofta. The owner was really good and courteous. Food arrived on time, bathroom and restaurant was clean! Def recommend this place.

This place is close to home (5mins) so very convenient to catch a quick tasty lunch or dinner. Love coming here with my husband. Food is consistent each and every time, well flavored, fresh and abundant for two people (we always have leftovers). We love the butter chicken and the naan bread but everything we've tried has been great. Service is quick, and to the point. It's a cute little spot so if you're looking for no frills tasty Indian food, come here!

Solid place! I really enjoyed their Butter Chicken and Chicken Curry. Their Garlic Naan was so flavorful too. Also their medium was a pretty good spice level. Highlight dish though was definitely the Lamb biryani. Recommend the Veg Manchurian too so much umami! I appreciate their free rice and service was really in point. Server checked up and refilled water so quickly. Note: parking is kinda hard, if you're an student nearby definitely worth walking

2 orders of Porotta 2 piece

I ordered take out, 2 butter chicken medium spicy (16 oz each) and 2 orders of porotta (total 4 pcs). This has been my go for Indian food, love the flavors here. If you don't know what to eat, I highly recommend Punjab Café. I mainly order their curry or butter chicken. Each time they were all packed with flavor. The heat level matches the description, so if you are unsure, medium or mild is a safe bet. Butter chicken (4/5) The butter chicken sauce was very creamy and packed with flavor. The medium spicy had a nice kick to it. The sauce is 5 out of 5. The only down side is it had only 5-ish small piece of chicken. Porotta (4/5) The porotta had a nice texture, I love the chewiness, paired well with the butter chicken. We ended up using all four pieces for one order of the butter chicken. Tho, I think I still prefer their garlic naan more.

*Vegetarian Foodie Review*…read more Always wanted to try this cafe and finally went in there today. It was at a walkable distance from my daughter's gymnastics camp. It was around 2PM, and we wanted some quick snack bites. This felt like a perfect place. Super cute cafe kind of ambiance. It has books, games etc to chill and my daughter & I had fun exploring it together. The menu didn't feel super huge, which is good because it makes me feel the items must be really good. I ended up ordering the paneer sandwich for myself and the veg panini for my 5 year old. 1) The paneer sandwich was my fav - it had a subtle hint of sweetness. The flavors really talked to me. The paneer portion was generous in my sandwich, a good protein-packed sandwich. 2) My daughter attacked the Veg panini and finished it in just a few mins. She told me it was super tasty, and didn't even let me try it. All sandwiches comes with fries - they were super yummy too, however, they were a tad bit salty and it would have been the best if they would tone down the salt a bit. Overall, I would rate the food at 5/5. My spouse joined us a little later, and I ordered the paneer sandwich one more time for him to eat. He also agreed that it was a 5 on 5. He loved the place too and told me he will definitely try the chai there next time he drops our kid to the gymnastics class. Service was surprisingly a little slow. They took 15 mins to get us the sandwiches, which in my opinion was a bit long considering it was just us in the cafe at that time. However, I had a feeling that they probably made it fresh, so it might take longer due to that. Took off 1 star for slow service. Definitely coming back again to try out more options from the menu!

One of the few Indian restaurants that doesn't taste like they have three main sauces they pull from with no effort to make flavors differentiate or pop. The dishes here taste like the chef's actually care about the food. Service is polite and simple. Very low maintenance. Not a restaurant if you like to be picky. Come to enjoy it as it is. My only complaint (and it is minor) is that, because they do a lot of take out, they have a lot of drinks and other items prepared to just grab and go for you. This doesn't work if your order anything other than water to drink at the table. They offer really interesting and refreshing tea/lemonades, yet when they bring the drink it comes prepared to go in plastic cup, sealed, with boba style fat straw (as opposed to the very elegant picture on their menu). It stood out as massively tacky and ugly, especially because of how thoughtful the design choices are for the table scape and the rest of the dining experience. Strange place to cut a corner. Even opening the to go cup at the counter, pouring it into one of the lovely water glasses (which is what I did, lol) would be easy and streamline the beautiful experience.

I stopped because I felt that…read moredining experiences are personal, and everyone should have the opportunity to form their own opinion. Yesterday, however, I changed my mind after having one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had at Saapaaduu. I've tried to dine here a couple of times over the past few years, but it was always crowded, so we ended up leaving. Since we were in the area yesterday, we decided to give it another try. We arrived around 8:00 PM with our family, including kids, and waited about an hour for a table. Even though I added my phone number to the waitlist, I never received any updates, and it didn't seem like people were being called in the order they were added. By the time we were seated, it was already 9:00 PM. We ordered a few dishes. The appetizers--Chicken 65, Chicken Lollipop, and Pallipalayam Chicken--arrived one by one. About 30 minutes later, our server informed us that they were out of Seeraga Samba Chicken Biryani and only had Vijayawada Chicken Biryani available. Since it was already late and we had no real alternative, we agreed. It then took another 20 minutes for the biryani to arrive. Unfortunately, the Vijayawada Chicken Biryani was nothing like a biryani. It was simply dry basmati rice with chicken gravy sitting at the bottom of the bowl. The rice was dry, and the dish lacked the flavor and texture you'd expect from a biryani. I took one spoonful and left the rest--I didn't even want to take it home. The Pallipalayam Chicken tasted nothing but same chicken curry in Vijayawada biryani with coconut chunks and didn't have the authentic flavor I was expecting. Overall, nothing stood out. The food was mediocre at best and did not justify the long wait. The restaurant itself is quite small. The person at the front desk mentioned that it accommodates around 40 guests at a time, which seems about right for the 8-10 tables inside. Given the limited seating and the consistently long wait times, I strongly feel they should implement an online reservation or waitlist system. Families with young children shouldn't have to stand outside for an hour without updates. It almost feels like the long line has become part of the restaurant's image rather than something they're trying to improve. I genuinely wanted to like this place after hearing so much about it over the years, but unfortunately, the overall experience--from the wait, to the service, to the food--was disappointing. I apologize for leaving a negative review, as that's not something I usually do. However, I believe sharing an honest experience is fair to both the restaurant and future customers. I sincerely hope the restaurant takes this feedback constructively and improves the overall dining experience.
