I had a major bathroom remodel a few years back. I was impressed overall with both the quality of work and the communications. I don't think people understand that subcontractors, which are usually necessary can delay a project, which results in extended timeline. I try to be as understanding as possible. Was AK&B responsible for the window company's damaged window? No. Were they responsible when a subcontractor, had a family issue. No. I will agree that there are bad actors in every business. But I'm confident I would reach out again for a future project. read more

Used them for a kitchen remodel. Tried to go local to support the community but also thought they would care more than a big company. Started in July and the project is still not complete. We are on our 4th set of cabinet doors because they keep coming in with damage or paint peeling. If they look like this brand new I imagine they will not hold up well. Installer could care less about my house. Just hand brand new floors installed and he chose to move the protective paper I had down and leave the cabinets on the floor. He also left his tools and materials in the brand new cabinets leaving marks and scratching them. We asked to have him stop doing this. We were told that he is the best and what he does and they didn't want to lose him. So they weren't going to say anything. Take a look at the pictures and tell me what you think. Also I can't even open the cabinet above my microwave because it hits. You would expect the owners to be embarrassed by the quality of the cabinets they are installing when they are peeling or having a customer wait 5 months and counting to finish the job. Have never gotten an apology. The cabinet maker they use (Wolf) came out to few the product after the 3rd set of replacementand was very embarrassed. Said that Attleboro Kitchen and bath did not install some of the cabinets correctly and could see errors that they made. read more

I was price shopping to redo my kitchen countertop and went into this place to see what they offered. The sales floor ladies were pretty nice and scheduled someone to come out and take measurements. That appointment was about 3 weeks out which stinks but ok...then the guy came out, measured and I never heard anything back. This was in JANUARY... I was in search for a new double sink vanity. This might seem easy but I could not get help from Home Depot or Lowes. I happened to be driving in Attleboro and saw their sign. With nothing to lose I walked in and was immediately helped and taken seriously. They had great ideas and in short order a diagram of what they proposed was emailed to me. A short time later The unit was installed, on time and perfect. I was so impressed I asked them to do other badly needed work. Again, professional and on time. Their installers were polite and thorough. My next project with them will be my kitchen. read more

Needed bathroom remodel after disaster w/burst pipe. Went here because I wanted to support local family business. Shane Gallagher took all of my personal information and scheduled an appt to assess the area. He DID NOT SHOW UP or call to inform me he couldn't make it. Never heard from him again. I asked for an estimate, so they came out (3 weeks later, which is fine). I waited and waited for the estimate, then called 3 weeks later. They have not bothered to return my call. If you don't want work, THEN JUST SAY IT!! They are a waste of time. Update: they returned my call 3 days later. I let them know I was no longer interested. It's just not worth it to do business with an entity that does not communicate with potential customers. read more

Upon a recommendation from a neighbor, I called Attleboro Kitchen and Bath to get a quote for a kitchen back splash. Joe Gallagher came out to take measurements / photos on July 16th and said he would get back to us with a quote. That was nearly a month ago. I called yesterday and left a message inquiring about the quote. A woman called me back this morning and apologized and said that she doesn't know what happened and something must have gotten mixed up as this was referred to a tile person. She then told me it would be more work on my end (apologizing again), but that I had to coordinate with the tile guy myself - oh, and he was booked out months. I told her I was confused since I was just looking for their quote, not to schedule work. And it's at this point where I start getting annoyed. What kind of business admits they dropped the ball and doesn't do everything they can to try and fix it? But instead tells me that I'm going to have to do extra work? When I told her, bottom line, I just want the quote so that I could compare it against the other quotes, she told me it was best that I take my business elsewhere. I hadn't even gotten through my next sentence when she hung up on me! I have never seen anything like this in my life. I'm a busy person and I don't normally take the time to write a Yelp review unless it really warrants it. This qualifies. I'm still trying to figure out if it was the fact that I was (justifiably) getting annoyed with their poor handling of the situation or more that I had sought multiple bids for a job. This can't be unexpected in their line of business. But the exact moment I mentioned another quote, she literally wanted nothing to do with me. I'm moving on and suggest you do the same. read more

We visited the show room and talked with a very nice and knowledgeable woman, we then booked an appointment for an estimate to do our kitchen and bath. They came out on 2/28, and said about a week they would call with the quote. March 14 (2 weeks later) I call and was told someone would call us back..... Today is now 4 weeks later and nothing. So unprofessional, if you don't want a job all you have to do it say it. Needless to say we have moved on to someone else, but very disappointing when you want to support a local business and they obviously don't want it. read more

I can not put into words how honest, as well as professional Joe, Nick, and Shane are. They listened to my suggestions and delivered. After having the original cabinets for thirty years, I was prepared to reface my kitchen door fronts. Since the cabinets were in good condition and of solid wood, Joe's recommendation was to paint the cabinets. He assured me the kitchen would look like the cabinets had been replaced. Since I was away, I wasn't sure how the final product was going to look.( I gave them the key to complete work while I was away). When I stepped into my kitchen, my expectations were exceeded. My kitchen was transformed from dark and dated, to bright and beautiful. Everyone who has seen their work raves about the update, saying that they look like new cabinets. We recently just completed a major master bath renovation and it is gorgeous! First let me say that prior to this we have also done four other bath renovations. None have been as seamless as this. Joe and his entire team are fabulous. They are VERY patient. I changed my design at least four times! Joe is very responsive. If I had a question or concern he got back to me right away. His son Nick listened patiently to my litany of questions every morning and was also great to work with. The subs were always at my house when needed and were equally as professional and patient.
