Located right across from Lorraine Fabrics, I've been wanting to check this place out for awhile…read more I was finally drawn in during their annual sale. As soon as I walked in, I wondered why it had taken me so long to check it out. Located in an old warehouse, CMI doesn't have that warehouse feel. A good size room, filled with hand-braided rugs and baskets, the place is cheerful and inspiring. Even though I wasn't looking to buy anything, I just couldn't resist purchasing a Pawtucket rug (made from scraps of fabric) and a basket (perfect for storing those odds and ends). The staff were friendly and helped with moving rugs, giving the background to how they are made, and helping to roll them up for take away. While I was there during a huge sale, it seems that even the normal prices are pretty reasonable, as it was, I got a full area rug for less money that my IKEA rug cost me. And it is more beautiful, better made, and local. S This place has been there for 20 years, and is still a hidden gem.

Despite some of the prices, other stuff is great value, and they have excellent service, judging by what we received on the only occasion we've been in here. We didn't buy anything but we were still treated like royalty.

Absolutely horrible experience with Four Seasons Carpet -- the installers Lowe's sends out. Even…read moreworse, their Field Supervisor, Sean Thatcher! Let me be very clear: this company should not be trusted in your home. The installers were careless and caused visible damage to my property during installation, and instead of owning it, they completely avoided responsibility. No accountability, no professionalism--just excuses. Even worse, when I tried to address the issue, I was treated like I was making it up. There were no time-stamped photos provided to prove the damage existed prior, yet they still tried to deny everything. It's insulting and unacceptable. I was able to provide them time-stamped photos of all the damage immediately after install. Because of their negligence, I had to pay out of pocket to have a painter come back and fix the damage they caused. Why should a paying customer be stuck cleaning up after "professional" installers? This wasn't just inconvenient--it was stressful, costly, and a complete waste of my time. If you're going through Lowe's, be warned: this is the level of service you may get from their contracted installers. I expected professionalism and respect for my home and got the exact opposite. I would strongly advise anyone considering Four Seasons Carpet to go elsewhere. Save yourself the headache, the damage, and the extra expenses.
