Stopped in for lunch and wont be coming back. Service was very slow, my drink never came and my friend sent her meal back. Terrible.

It was our son's 24th birthday and my family walked into all the restaurants in that neighbourhood to see which one "smelled " the best and after talking to the waiter here unanimously picked this restaurant and we were not disappointed ! The food , the atmosphere and esp the service was fabulous . The waiter was amazing and told us that he would ask the chef to do whatever modifications we needed ( like kick it up , cut out the cream if needed etc ) . This place has gone downhill since their move and got even worse after losing their manager. The staff used to be John Paul Brian and Tracey serving Thomas was the manager and ran banquets with tommy and of course Joey hosting and that was perfect. They were the most fun staff I had ever witnessed. I used to be a weekly customer, the food was amazing, the atmosphere was superb, and the staff was above and beyond. Since moving it is too loud, they lost almost all of the original staff, last time I was there it was just Tracey and Joey, I'm not even sure they're still there. The new staff is inattentive, impersonal with regular customers, the food is inconsistent but usually mediocre at best. The original owner is fine and did well but ever since Roy got involved in the business He has ruined it. They're going down and fast. They should get their good staff back and pray, I think that's their only hope. read more

I have no complaints after my first trip to Attilio's. The setting was warm and romantic; classy yet modern. They had a decent wine list- not necessarily top notch wines- but a decent variety, and many wines to select 'by the glass'. The bread was not anything special but the dipping platter provided options of cheese, crushed red peppers, garlic, and Italian seasonings to customize your dipping oil. I thought the salad was good and fresh and ordered a shrimp and scallops dish which was delicious. The bar provided a nice classy yet casual place to enjoy an after dinner drink. While it isn't my favorite restaurant in Syracuse, it is definitely worth paying a visit to! read more

This is my second dinner at Attilio's. I was really hoping that I could leave a great review but unfortunately, I'm able to do so. The first encounter was for my birthday celebration. There were several issues that I had and called later and conversed with one of the managers. I received a gift card, and I decided to treat my family for dinner tonight. The server tonight was very polite and service was quick, the restaurant was rather empty where we were seated. Once my daughter asked for a refill on water, service went down hill from there. Know one else was offered a refill of water or received a refill. Once the server brought our food out we didn't see her again until it was time for the check. The alfredo and shrimp was delicious, but we never received our clam chowder that came along with the dish. I was charged for a clam chowder. I requested low sodium food, and was advised that they don't offer low sodium food because the food was pre-seasoned. Safe to say processed food. I accidentally left my gift card home and panicked but was able to recover the card information to pay the bill as well as leave a small tip. My major gripe is that the service isn't consistent with the servers. The bus boy however, was very cordial just as my last visit. I gave Attilio's another opportunity to impress me and I was disappointed. Safe to say a review speaks volumes and the management team is descent but the servers I had lacked important etiquettes when serving dinner. It's a NO for me. I wont be going back. The first time my fiance and I went to Attilio's we enjoyed everything from appetizer to our dessert. That meal and service was a 4 star or higher!!! Now we have gone back and also gotten take out. We spent 50.00 dollars on a bowl of soup and an entree and a piece of cheesecake for our takeout and sorry to say it was terrible!!!! And no bread with our dinner!! The economy may be tough but please give me some bread!!! I don't think we will go back since everytime we try it again, it just seems worse. read more

We go to Attilio's often because my husband is a fan. Me, not so much. When they first opened it was great but now the wait staff isn't professional in a way you'd expect for fine dining. The food is okay but not as good as when they first opened. read more

An absolutely terrible experience. The drinks are overpriced and not at all worth it. Our waiter was absolutely terrible, overcharging and double charging us for miscellaneous items. Brought my girlfriend out a slice of cake for her birthday, that we didn't even ask for mind you, and then charged us for it. Tried to convince us that they could not split the check, when we had a party of 10, but changed his story so many times before telling us that he could've done it, after we paid, but he would've had to hand write it. It took me 20 minutes to get a beer, and another 30 to get another. One member of our party got a terrible dish, that he barely touched, and we were almost charged for that as well. All entrees are over $18. And my food was nearly cold by the time I got it. The atmosphere is nice, it's a good looking establishment, but the service, food, drink selection, and overall experience leave much to be desired. read more

We went there tonite. We have been there a few times now and the food is always good. Tonite we had a party of four. They placed at a small table near the window. The table was uneven and too small for four. I am sure they placed us there for the view but I hate a small crowded table. The food was good but I have to say our waitress set the mood for the evening and it wasn't good. I saw no smile all evening and while adept enough at serving us I felt like I was inconveniencing her by being in the restaurant. I watched the gentleman serving the table next to is smiling and enjoying his customers. Too bad he didn't serve us I think it would have been more pleasant. I opened my menu to see it splattered with food residue. Thought it was just mine but nope two others at the table looked the same. When I go out to we its not just good food you want. I am paying good money for the atmosphere too and it just takes one drab employee to bring the whole experience down. read more

Traveling from Houston, my fiance and I were married the morning before our evening visit to Attilio's. I had chosen the place by research, and I hoped it lived up to the hype. We were greeted by Brian, our waiter. Since we had a cake with us, he, of course, asked what we were celebrating. When we replied our wedding, he lit up. He, too, had married his companion a while back and was pleased to help make our wedding day special and complete. And special it was! The food was incredible. I had the haddock francaise, my new husband had a pasta dish, and my brother, our best man/witness had the crab pasta special. The stuffed long peppers made a wonderful appetizer, and the bread was amazing. Brian brought our cake out, and then he took our picture as we cut it. Since there were only three of us, we asked Brian if he would like to keep the rest of the cake for him and the staff. He--and his co-workers--were delighted! He also said he would wrap up a big chunk to take home to his husband. What a lovely way to end our first day as a gay married couple (legal in NY, but not in Texas as I write this) by being royally served by another lovely gay husband, Brian--and being served a most delicious meal!! read more

I arrived last evening anticipating a good meal and fun times with family and friends. We arrived a few minutes early for our 7PM reservations and seated promptly. Needed to move inside because of an outdoor concert across the street (too loud). From there, the experience went downhill. The restaurant was clearly understaffed on a night when concert folks sat outside and had a meal. The hostess ended up taking our order for dinner around 7:50. By 8:30, we were begging for our salads. 9:15PM, no dinner entrees in sight. I spoke with the 'manager' and expressed my displeasure. He was very rude, accused me of being intoxicated (I do not drink) and was literally "in my face". My husband and I promptly left the premises, leaving the other 7 behind. Most of the food went home secondary to the late hour served. I cannot comment on the entrees. However, I can report that the service was horrific with NO customer satisfaction whatsoever. I will never return. Also, not shy to share my experience. My evening also included refilling water glasses and clearing the table. Maybe I deserved a portion of the tip (if any was left). service was o.k. food for both my wife and i was very substandard. i had pasta with one meatball and one sausage. at first taste of each, i wished that i had gone somewhere [anywhere] else. the price was not in relation to what we had. my wife disliked her dinner very much as well. i can't find a reason to go back there. read more
