These guys did a wonderful job. We had had rats in our attic periodically over the years. Every time we thought all the holes were plugged, they'd find another way in, and the attic was a terrible mess. Attic Masters found the hole and plugged it, vacuumed out 20 years of droppings, and debris from a remodel, replaced insulation, and it's cleaner than when we moved in. Honest, organized, experienced and easy to work with. My original contractor left me stuck. I called around got a few quotes and read reviews. Their estimator came out and did a survey as well as provided me with an estimate. They were competitive and he knew what he was talking about. Avi came out on Thursday and told me they would could Tuesday by 9.-9.30 AM They showed up on time 9.10AM and immediately started setting up. Plastic and covers on the floor, plastic sheets that curtained off the whole house kept the house clean. They wrapped and bagged the old insulation in the attic to keep the dust down. They vacuumed the whole attic with an industrial sized (think large refrigerator size) vacuum that stayed outside and ran a huge hose to clean all the dust out. They sealed all the light fixtures in the attic side to prevent dust and air leaks. They carried in bales of high quality insulation and as a team loaded it into the attic. The team installed the insulation, cleaned up, swept our driveway and did a superb in one day. They worked hard and hustled. 1500 square feet done. We are scheduled to get out home fumigated this Monday. On the Tuesday before the fumigation, our vendor advised that we get the crawl spaces under our home screened so they don't accidentally kill any stray cats who like to make it their home from time to time. This created an emergency situation, for me because I had to research vendors, interview them, get quotes, pick one and have them come out in 2 days! As I have been doing more and more, I googled for the right trade, then went right to Yelp. I only searched for 5 stars since who I pick would get the job. No time for multiple quotes. I picked Attic Masters after reading their glowing reviews. I called and explained what I needed and they made an appointment for the next day between 9 am- 11 am. I was promised I would get a call 30 mins before arrival, which I did. 2 guys arrived. Tal and Neil. Tal was friendly, professional and helpful. After we did the job walk and count he said he could do it immediately, Hallelujah!! I was so impressed with that part, I asked him before he started to take a look at our 2 bathroom vents which our electrician told me were not set up properly to duct the air outside. Neil (the quiet one) shot up in the attic and confirmed it. Also, Tal asked if it gets unusually hot in our single story house after it's been closed up and I say "sure does" he said a attic fan would greatly improve lowering the temperature because it was 110 degs up there now! He said they could install that also today, but no worries if I didn't want to. I DID!! So, I ended up solving problems I didn't know I had, but had been experiencing (we have no A/C, old home). They installed a high quality fan (I googled it to make sure), added the ducts to both bathroom vents, and rip and replaced 21 screens around the home. All in less than 5 hrs! And for a very reasonable price! My wife came home and now thinks I am a master negotiator and contracting virtuoso for having it ALL done before she got home from work! FYI, she is right! *wink* Call whomever you need to get quotes, then call Attic Masters! I will need them back for the asbestos and to replace our heater, which by the way, has been working flawlessly since installed.....in 1965!! I received a fair and reasonable quote to remove and replace insulation and rodent-proof the attic. (I forgot the name of the person who came out, but he was very personable and easy to talk with as well as he understood what needed to get done.) The crew came out a couple days later, on time and ready to work. Otni was the lead and they did a fine job! I was told to give them a call if I noticed any rodent activity, and someone will be out in a week or so to check on the traps they left just in case. Juan came out and did a final check. Appreciate Yelp for helping me find Attic Masters who removed my asbestos-laden old ducts and replaced them with new ducts hung on beams in the attic. They vacuumed up my very old insulation in the attic and replaced with new insulation that I wanted. This was a span of two days and they did it quickly and efficiently. They also cleaned up after themselves. I was impressed by everyone from this company - from the initial consultation, to the home base person (Adam), to Juan the lead at my job-site, and the asbestos abatement team (Michael and Jose). The only thing I would recommend is that they give a more detailed review of what the whole process entails and go over the materials used with the customer better. We recently moved into our home and we knew the attic insulation was damaged by a previous rat infestation (per our home inspection report). The previous owners got rid of the rat infestation, but failed to clean up the dead rats & feces and repair the damaged insulation. Our attic was in such bad shape that we got rejected by another contractor to install a whole house fan because he said it was a safety issue for his employees to work in the attic given its current state. So, we knew at that point that we needed to have the insulation replaced (b/c you can smell the rat pee the minute you open the hatch - it couldn't be patched). We got a couple quotes and ended up picking the Attic Masters based on reviews. We decided to go with the upgraded insulation. For our 1200 sqft attic, they replaced all the insulation, cleaned up the dead rats and mountains of poo, and installed one fan. This cost us approximately $2750. We got a 10% discount because they brought the wrong insulation and had to store it in our garage for a few days. I had to take a day off of work to accommodate their schedule. I don't think Attic Masters are cheap in any way (I'm sure we paid more than everyone else - what I get for having my husband do the negotiations...haha). Both crews that we interacted with were polite, clean, and efficient. They did work in an extremely hot confined space wearing respirators and suits. They definitely worked hard. They also strived to answer any questions I had and even proved to me that they weren't overloading a circuit (that the new fan was hooked up to) when I asked. My advice: go with this company. They are definitely very professional and strive to take care of you. I advise you to be involved though; climb up to the attic and see the work they are doing and ask questions. Hello yelpers!! So I've been thinking about replacing our home old insulation and we finally did it with the Attic Masters! So just like everyone else we looked around and called a few companies to come by and gives us an estimate on the removal and installation of the attic insulation. If I may say Attic Masters price was most reasonable then the others. The project estimator Alex and his partner came in took a look and measured the attic space and later that day we received our estimate, for the blow in, Eco batt and regular pink insulation. So after comparing the estimates, product providing and work , we made our decision. The reception Virginia was helpful. She not only took our appointment but also provided us with the foreman's name for each day (two day project). On Friday, 9/26/14, we had the insulation removal. Marlo and his crew were great. They removed, vacuum, cover all opening and sanitized the attic. The following day, Saturday, 9/27/14, Juan and his crew showed up ready to install the new insulation and the free attic fan. I waited sometime before I would write a review. I wanted to see how the new insulation is performing. This weekend was pretty hot so I have quiet a good indication. I called Attic Masters based on their stellar reviews. Setting up the estimate was very easy and they had an inspection available on requested day. I set up the appointment with Gaby who was very well trained and answered all my questions without any hesitation. Alex arrived , inspected our attic and recommended to remove the entire insulation and install R38 rolled insulation. At first I just wanted to top up the current without removal but going through details with Alex I quickly changed my mind and decided to do the whole shebang. I immediately accepted the estimate which was sent to me in an email ( love their invoicing system ). Alex called the office and got the available dates in which the job could start. By this stage I was more than confident that I made the right choice. The crew arrived at the scheduled time and date that was given and spent quiet a bit of time setting up and covering all floors , walls furniture etc. this was an important step for us as we know that having dusty insulation fall through the attic and onto our furniture was no fun for anyone. The crew were respectful , tidy and hardworking. I waited until the end so I could see what the attic looked like and I was quiet impressed. 5 Stars for Attic Masters - Los Angeles I rarely give 5 star reviews for simple home repairs but in this case I have to make an exception. As part of some general home improvement work associated with a new home purchase, we had occasion to go up into our attic and we were surprised to find a real mess. The previous owners had used the attic for a junk storage area - and pretty much packed the attic with old newspapers, cardboard boxes, old linens, books and what looked like scrap wood. Apart from the obvious fire hazard, we found evidence of a rat infestation which tore up a lot of the insulation and they even ate some of the electrical wiring. The smell was sickening. So...who to call? We asked around and our homeowner's association pointed us to AtticMasters in LA along with a fairly positive recommendation. Apparently they've been the "go to" company for 2 other tenants in the subdivision, so we gave them a call. I have to say, the professionalism and response of the company was great from the start. The call as promptly answered and the lady on the phone was bright, enthusiastic and obviously understood customer service...they made it easy to do business with them right from the outset. Very refreshing for starters. We explained the situation and asked if someone could come by for an estimate - and after describing the house and location, I think they did a "Google Map Street View" and based on actually looking at our house while still on the phone, they gave us an estimate during our first call! And, they followed up with the written estimate by email within the next 30 minutes! Amazing! Setting an appointment was even easier...we were given our choice of days and times to match our schedule and the job was set. On the scheduled day, Alex, our project manager called about 30 minutes prior to arrival to say they were on their way - and they arrived on time and went straight to work. This was one efficient team. They took a few minutes to assess the attic, gave us the okay and they started right to work. In a matter of minutes there was a steady stream of old junk, torn insulation, newspapers and boxes coming OUT of the attic...followed by new insulation going IN at the same rate. They even vacuumed all of the dust and rat debris as part of the cleaning. And, to top it off the project manager went over all of the attic wall and ceiling surfaces to locate and close off several small holes where the rats had previously entered. The whole process only took a few hours and when they finished, they actually swept the hall and entranceways on their way out. It was GREAT! I think they actually sprayed the interior space with some kind of disinfectant or Fabreeze stuff, because the attic actually smelled like a clean part of the house! We couldn't be happier. This was our first experience with anything to do with cleaning an attic...and probably our last. But if anyone has a similar problem, and want people who know what they're doing and get it done right...then this is the group for you. It's 5 stars. read more

I wanted to write this review for Juan and his team because the service that we received and the level of craftsmanship was beyond what we had hoped for. We were shocked when we went into our attic and found that the previous owners either never checked or hired a fly by night company to do the insulation work just to sell the home. It was quite upsetting since we always planned to finish the attic for additional space for our home offices. We both work from home and needed the space quick and on budget. I got Attic Masters to come and look at my attic in the new house i just bought. First they are located nearby so i like to do business with anyone local if i can get them. They gave me a clear assessment as to what exactly is going on up there as i have not crawled up into the entire space, they took pictures and explained what we could do. Since some of the wood was rotting but not too badly, i decided to have them patch up those spots, and rodent proof the space. We tore out the old insulation, luckily there was no asbestos or anything toxic, but it was still a messy job, which they handled cleanly and efficiently with me watching anxiously. My air conditioner wasn't blowing out air like it used to. We had Attic Masters come out to give us a third opinion on our ducts that need to be replaced. The 2 other duct companies walked us through what was needed, showed us pictures, explained the process and were very thorough. The examiner that came out from Attic Masters was at my house for 10 minutes and told me he would email me the estimate. The estimate was so generic and was pretty much useless. I'm not an attic expert and expect if you want us to drop $2K on new ducts, you would take time to explain why you are better than other companies, what kind of ducts we'll get and why they are good, warrenty, etc. read more

Attic Masters blew installation into my attic that never had insulation work done before. I live in a very old house and it had limited space because I had a big AC duct.
