Attic Air is the best! Robert is trustworthy, professional, and meticulous. We got his name from our neighbors across the street who highly recommended him. We had Attic Air install several roof vents and put insulation in our crawl space that was sorely needed. They also installed a motorized exhaust fan on the roof to vent the crawl space when it hits a certain temp in the Summer. And, Robert was kind enough to set us up with a roof vent and proper connective tubing over our bathroom in anticipation of an exhaust fan we will be installing once we redo our bathroom. It's all set up and ready. The work was done in September, 2018. It looks great. We are properly vented and insulated. We have been so pleased with our heating bill over the Winter. The gas bill went down significantly! Cant wait to see our ComEd bill this Summer. Fast forward 8 months later. Yesterday we noticed a small water spot on a our ceiling and left a message for Robert. It's a holiday weekend and yet Robert came today, into the City from St. Charles to address the issue. He found the problem at one of the vents and replaced the vent, sealed it, and guaranteed the issue was solved. He showed us pictures and thoroughly explained what happened. It was a fluke of an issue involving a lose board in the crawl space. We highly recommend Attic Air for their excellent customer service, their promptness, their attention to detail, reasonable cost, and quality work. You will be very happy with them. We are! Wish more business were like this. read more

Fast, friendly service, got insulation blown in and a fan installed in the attic. Reasonably priced, good people. Thank you!

Stop searching. Pick up the phone and call Robert, right now. I am very handy and can handle advanced construction projects. However, there's absolutely no reason to even consider doing this project yourself. Neither should you consider a "handyman" or general contractor. Attic work is what they do and they do it better than anyone else. You are not going to buy an attic fan more than a couple of times in your life. There's no way you're going to find a better one than they provide. They have worked with all the manufactures and only provide what they know is the best. They are meticulous about keeping your home clean. They were fast. I had an issue with some noise on a fan and they came out that day to fix it. I am very happy that I picked Attic Air and would use them again in heartbeat. (I wish every contractor was like this.) read more

I would highly recommend Attic Air for your insulation needs. We needed to have additional insulation added to a small 276 square foot attic space. I called so many insulation companies and no one wanted to take on a small job unless you were willing to spend their minimum charge ranging anywhere from $1500 to $2500 which was ridiculous. I called and spoke to Robert at Attic Air and his company was willing to take on a small job like ours. His 2-man crew even showed up earlier than we expected for our appt. and they were done blowing in insulation into our attic within a half hour. His staff is very friendly, personable & knowledgeable too and they did an excellent job! Be sure to call Attic Air if you want a good price and excellent work!! AMAZING AMAZING! Robert was not only one of the lowest bids but super honest with us. He never tried to sell us extra services we didn't need. He was very upfront on what needed to be done. Very amazing person (Robert owner). His crew came out 2 weeks later and was early, very professional and quick! I recommend this company 110%!! read more

Attic Air installed the venting for two bathroom fans in the home we were buying. 2 months after we moved in, there was a bit of leaking in the ceiling near the fan. I called to let them know and Rob, the owner, quickly found time to come take a look. Super friendly, personable and pleasant in addition to no nonsense and straight to the point. Make a long story short, his work was not the source of our leak but he came out again and cut open my bathroom ceiling and tried to identify the source. He spent hours with me and I was so thankful for all he did to help me solve my problem. My point is, if you need any attic work or ventilation, Rob is a fantastic guy and you will be in good, honest and experienced hands. Top quality company and owner. UPDATE: 12/21/19 Had plumber come out to locate leak that Rob had isolated and believed was the problem. read more

Attic Air - Rob and his team was absolutely correct when they determined their work was not the problem and thought it was plumbing. Here is the proof!! - Insulation Installation Near Me - St. Charles, Illinois

The workers did an excellent job. They were very respectful of our property. They were willing to locate the controls for the fan from where they were originally placed (out of reach!) by a previous worker to a location in the attic that I could easily access. They really seemed to know what they were doing. When I first called they were booked up but put me on a wait list and then called back fairly soon when they had a cancellation, so I didn't have to wait very long at all. Highly recommended! read more

My entire interaction with this company has been fantastic. I originally reached out to Rob in late February 2020 for a quote for Attic insulation. After the pandemic in March, things went hectic and we decided not to get any work done until late summer 2021. On the day of the job, the crew came out and completed the entire job in around 3-4 hours. They installed the attic insulation, soffits, and an attic fan, and also fixed a kitchen exhaust vent. They handled themselves with professionalism and cleaned up after themselves, and made sure to get my final approval before leaving. The attic insulation reduced our winter energy usage by ~15-20%, which was huge especially considering the natural gas price spike in winter 2021-2022. The quality of work was excellent, but what stood out the most to me was the Professionalism and Integrity shown by Rob. Anytime I needed to email Rob with follow-up questions, he promptly responded and gave me the information I needed. If he committed to a date/time, he would show up on that date/time. He would give honest feedback instead of trying to upsell me on things I wouldn't need. I strongly recommend this company. read more

Robert and his team were exemplary from start to finish. We bought a mid century home that had vents in the soffit but they went nowhere, and we knew it was a priority to fix when we moved in. As hard as it is to put thousands of dollars into something no one will see until you sell, we understood the importance for a healthy and energy efficient home, so our priority was finding the best contractor -- and our experience with Attic Air proved we found it. They added soffit vents, air channels, added blown insulation to address deficiencies and updated our attic fans. They got the job done efficiently, with great attention to detail, explanations of what they did, and showed us the results as they went. The house is cleaner than when they came (they cleaned everything they touched) and were so considerate through the day. I can't recommend them more strongly! read more

Prompt, knowledgeable, and reasonable pricing. Provided four professional employees to complete: removal of old attic insulation, install new attic wall insulation, blow in fiberglass insulation between the floor boards, and blow in an over layer to achieve R49. Accomplished this work on a Saturday morning, in a little under 3 hrs. Awesome service. The second floor of my 100+ year old home has never been more comfortable. Highly recommended. read more

I called the morning of my appt for warranty work to make sure if they are coming because they never called to confirm. The person who answered said that they don't call, they just show up. He also said that they get 50 calls, "BUDDY"... YOU STILL WANT US TO COME OUT??? SEEMED REALLY RUDE. Will update this review after the actual service. Update... 2 techs came, on time, and replaced fan motor, covered under warranty, but the labor is not. For literally 15mins work cost $245, when the initial quote was abt $180 for the labor. When I asked a question, techs went into defensive mode right away stating that if I didn't want them to do the work they can just leave the part and I do it myself. So I call the office and the boss says the same thing and added that the work normally costs $100 more to do, Especially since the unit is 4yrs old. Age of the unit should not matter if they are selling it with a lifetime warranty... This puts me, the customer, in a bad situation to have to climb the roof and take the unit part. At this point, one just goes ahead with their work so as not to prolong the agony and inconvenience. The lifetime warranty on the fan that they try to use as a selling point isn't as great as they make it seem. Nonetheless, the fan was replaced. Minus the uncomfortable talk, would have been better. read more

The crew showed up early, they were professional, they cleaned up after themselves and most importantly they did a beautiful job insulating our attic. What can I say about the job attic air did.......amazing, professional, courteous, patient......need I go on. When we were close to purchasing our first house, we found an attic issue and called Rob in. Not only was he on time, responded to our many follow up questions but Rob was more interested that we make the best possible decisions then getting us to agree to purchase. Needless to say when we finally bought the house, Rob was called, a short while later, the work was performed, one attic fan, 2 Attics of insulation, and three bath fans. Probably could have saved a few dollars if we DIY, but with the attic air crew we knew it was done right! We may call in Attic air one more time for an attic fan in the low roof. Not only would I highly recommend attic air to our family and friends, but I would trust Rob getting our scared helper cat out of the attic! read more

Nothing but positive things to say about this company. I spoke with Robert (the owner) schedule a bathroom fan installation in the top floor bathroom of our old house where there hadn't been one previously installed. I was nervous that it would be difficult to install due to the fact our bathroom was underneath a dormer that made attic access difficult but he made it clear that it was something they could accomplish. The price quoted was very reasonable and the job was done right and very fast! The workers showed up on time and in less than an hour they had finished installing everything with very little mess left behind. It was properly vented out through our roof with rigid insulted duct. The Panasonic fan they installed is incredibly quiet and looks great. If you want a bathroom fan installed, definitely give Robert a call for a quote. These guys know what they're doing. read more

Had to schedule 2 months in advance but the team stuck to the proposed date even during a weather advisory. The crew was on time, efficient, respectful, clean and did a great job. I was impressed. Attic Air was very responsive in getting me the quote and explaining everything thoroughly. The work crew was on time and did the work very efficiently. They enlarged 21 soffit vents, installed insulated ductwork and new exhaust vents for four bath fans, and installed a power attic fan. I'm very happy with the work. read more

Rob, the owner of Attic Air, did the estimate for the insulation for us. Upon our request, he also did the follow up quote with vacuum up and haul away. Unlike other companies (we invited 3 others), his proposal were very detailed ; it specified material used and the works his crew will be performed. He is truly professional. I have since called many times with questions, every time he returned my call within the same day and answered my questions thoroughly. I feel I am very "educated" by now about attic insulation with the kind of information he provided me. read more

Robert came to our house to see if insulation would help our ice dams. He was completely honest and said that based on the design of the house it would not eliminate them completely. The crew of three from Attic Air who installed two new bathroom exhaust fans were great! It is unbelievable that none of the previous owners of our house (built in 1975) had ever vented these fans to the roof, which made the attic more prone to mold, humidity, etc. One of the gentlemen went up to the roof, another was in the attic and the third attached the fans inside the bathrooms, all working together beautifully. I think the entire project lasted maybe two hours - ? Have never HAD to have this done, since other houses we've owned already HAD bathroom fans vented to the roof, so we figured it would take at least half a day, not two hours! Very talented team, left the areas worked cleaner than they found them. Also - the fans used very high quality, nice-looking and quiet. Highly recommend! read more

Great experience. They arrived on time and were extremely efficient AND CLEAN! We had them install a cover over our attic opening, for energy efficiency. Put in my insulation job on Yelp & received a message same day. Message was that they could not do an estimate within 7 days. Can't speak to quality or value - but customers should know that if they need a job done to schedule at least 2-3 weeks as they can not even do an inspection within 7 days - so they are either understaffed or really in demand. Communication was polite - but a bit snide. As I make this post the weather has been 60-80 degrees for the last week; I would hate to see someone with a real problem not get immediate help. read more

OUTSTANDING! these guys get it! fair honest and they come prepared! Had sofit vents installed, a roof vent, and a bath fan/heater. they even brought magic erasers to clean any messy fingerprint smudges they accidentally made. HIRE THESE GUYS, they are awesome! read more

Robert was fantastic to work with. I had to increase the airflow in my attic so that mold growth would not reoccur. Not only did he help me to understand the math behind optimal air flow, but he worked directly with our mold exterminators (Mold Solutions) to come to the agreed upon requirements for our project. His team (Alex and Jerry) were early, quick, efficient, friendly, and cleaned up the property before they left. Not a doubt in my mind that I would use these guys again if needed. read more

After getting several reviews to insulate my two attics, Attic Air clearly came out on top. Their prices were fair (any properly done attic work will be expensive if you didn't know already). Gave an accurate assessment of what I would need done, and I know this because I had an independent mold inspector come out for another issue who told me just what I need for a sound attic. They properly vented two bathroom exhaust fans through the roof, opened 16 soffits and blew a total of R-60 insulation. I also wanted a humidistat fan installed And not only could they do it but they could run the electrical needed where other companies told me I had to bring in an electrician to do it. Robert and his 3 guys worked their butts off. They were friendly, efficient and very professional. I was also pleased beyond expectation at how clean they were. They laid tarps, vacuumed as needed and didn't leave much behind inside the house. There was some paint chips left outside the house from where they had to cup open some vent chutes which I had to clean but nothing too terrible. There was also some very minimal drywall chipping around a light switch they had to remove to run electrical into the attic, but it is nothing that can't be easily fixed when I paint next with a smidge of spackle. All in all I am very pleased and would highly recommend them. Honest estimate, professional employees and quality work! read more

I worked with Robert regarding an attic ventilation issue I was told I had. Robert came on time and did a thorough inspection and flat out told me that I didn't have a ventilation problem. He explained to me what he considered the best option but said that it wasn't a problem. What a refreshing change! A service professional who tells the truth instead of what will make him more $$! He did suggest one small fix which he came and completed for me. Great guy, great service and great prices. Thanks! read more

I called to get a quote/inspection on the phone for an attic fan and mentioned I was in kind of a hurry. The owner said they could come out in an hour and just do the job for a flat rate since they were finishing up another job. Brought a crew of three and kept saying how my house turned out to be harder than they thought. I expected them to wiggle on the rate. But no, they stuck to the quote even though it took some extra time, headaches. Owner was really nice, friendly and FAST. They didn't want to waste my time which was really nice. They were referred to me from my insulation guys who don't do ventilation, but Attic Air do insulation as well. Highest recommendation. read more

Great service! Received a quick and reasonable quote and they scheduled as soon as time permitted. Workers were on time and all wore masks! They were all very professional, were quick and cleaned up! Great attic insulation company to work with - easy and dependable.

I just had to write a quick note about how great my interaction was with Attic Air. I had left a message about getting some insulation work done, and within 30 minutes I got a call back from Rob.
