Best Lemon Pepper Wings in town
Philip N.

Atomic Wings in Williamsburg continues to impress me with the quality of their food and the professionalism of their staff. The wings are consistently flavorful, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection -- easily some of the best in the area. Recently, I experienced a mix-up where I was given the wrong order. Mistakes happen anywhere, but what truly sets an establishment apart is how they respond. I returned the next day, and the manager, Sterling, handled the situation with exceptional professionalism. He listened, took responsibility, and made the correction immediately -- no hassle, no attitude. This is what real customer service looks like. Sterling's commitment to doing right by his customers shows that Atomic Wings values loyalty and strives to maintain it. Because of the way he handled the situation, they've earned not only my respect but my continued business. Highly recommended.

Low and behold there is a Freddy's in Williamsburg, so we decided to take a little "part-of-the-day trip" to chrck it out. Upon entry, everyone working there greeted us and were super friendly. It was pretty busy in there, and i found the tables and chairs to be super close together and i felt a little claustrophobic. Maybe it was the abundance of the color red. The lady who took our order at the counter was very patient while we figured out the menu, which is mostly smash burgers in a variety of iterations, along with a variety of sides. I ordered a "single cheeseburger " with a side of shoestring fries. The cheeseburger is actually a smashburger that is practically a paper-thin "burger". It was very bland, to be honest. Their burgers, unless otherwise specified, come with pickles, mustard, and onions. The shoestring fries were awesome. Simple, not greasy. My husband got 2 Steakburger Tacos, which he said were "just okay". He also got a side of tots, which he found to be overly greasy. We couldn't leave without trying some of Freddy's Frozen custard. I had a small cone of vanilla, which if blind-taste-tested against McDonald's soft serve, i wouldn't have been able to tell the difference. Which is fine. We also got a chocolate malt shake, which was super good. Was it worth the drive? Meeeeehhh. The best things were the shoestring fries and the milkshake. Oh, they also serve Pepsi products. This is the first time that I have ever seen Pepsi Zero in a soda machine at a fast food restaurant. That was pretty cool. It's the little things. Would we go again? Unless there was a much closer location in RVA, probably not.

Munchies Southern Soul - Kids cheese burger & mac n cheese. The only good thing we ate from a soul food restaurant.

With that being said, Folks, do be kind and compassionate, that means with your Support of not only patronage in dining here, but, also your PATIENCE and POSITIVITY. They are a 3 People Operation, Sheldon, Tony and Marcus, and they give of themselves wholly in delivering a great meal to Everyone who ventures their way. They care about every single morsel, and they care about every single experience, and whether you know it or not, every single meal is cooked to order, not microwaved like other places. So, yes, it will take a little longer in getting your meal you ordered, BUT!! You can rest assured that your meal is FRESH, HOT, and delectably Grrrrrrreat Also, I would like to add, please be respectable...if you don't have time to wait for a FRESHLY COOKED GREAT MEAL, then do move along, but, please don't try and slander them with negative reviews (uncle tom effect) some folk don't get this good of a meal at home (yeaa I said it.) And another thing I witnessed as a patron tried throwing dissension in the midst, by offering what might be considered as a PSEUDO Compliment when she stated that one of the staff members should not hesitate when GOD blesses him with an opportunity to remove himself from this blessing of an establishment, telling him that his blessing is not there. That was so disrespectful, as that young man is HIGHLY BLESSED, and what the person who made that comment to him, didn't know, is that, that establishment is initiated, owned, operated by his loving Father, who also works there, giving of time, and energy and showing his Son the positive sides of life and blessing him to comprehend what it is to be an Entrepreneur. That is TRUE LOVE The young man, with true humility, and dedication to his mission, and to his Father, never lost focus, showed respect in acknowledging the customer, as everyone has an opinion, regardless of how off-base, or out of touch it is, he still showed respect. We need to keep SMALL BUSINESSES such as theirs running and functional, instead of just large chains, where they mass produce and offer very little in the way of personal service and great interactions, along with Great Real Foods. On my visit, they were packed and has 18+ guests in attendance, yet, still, reward yourselves with the experience, and PLEASE, Be Patient and Continue to SUPPORT them. Sushi and boba in the same place, yes please!!! Was greeted so cheerfully when I walked in and the lady ( I will get her name next time) who took my order was just so kind, hospitable and helpful when going over the menu...In the end, I opted for the salmon roll and Matcha boba.. Now for the real real!!! Now when it comes to Boba, I generally stick to my regular flavors; Taro, Thai, Jasmine or Oolong so I didn't have any expectations for the Matcha.. but let me tell you, that was the best Matcha Boba tea I've ever had!!! size wise, and it was the perfect amount of sweetness.. already off to a great start. Now, when the salmon roll came, I was surprised at how big those pieces were. It was the most amazing salmon roll.. after the first bite. I was thinking about how I wish I would've gotten another sushi, but it was just the perfect amount for my appetite and it made for such a great light meal. This place is a 10 out of 10 for me!!! Note* I forgot to take a picture of the Matcha Boba, but just know it was so well made!

Food: The tropical roll was great! I loved the flavor combination and the coconut sauce! Yum! The chicken wrap was the food item I didn't enjoy and the main reason was that they used mined chicken. I feel like at least cubes of chicken or strips would be preferred. Also the chicken has no flavor. Grill it up or something! The other ingredients were nice and fresh but the chicken was very off putting. Ordering online was easy and I loved how they had the option of them delivering it to your car. It was ready when promised and everything came as promised.

After she…read morecame home from a hair appointment, we traveled here to an area of Williamsburg that we've never been to before. For the most part, it's street parking where we found a very good spot and restaurants and stores galore. Let's see how this spot turned out for us. Inside, the decor is very nice. They have a few tables inside and plenty in the outside patio. It's basically a spot that's takeout but if want to dine-in, that's totally fine. And they serve Kung Fu Tea, one of our favorite guilty pleasures that unfortunately closed near us months ago. After a few minutes, we ordered at the counter. Along with a large Strawberry Milk slush, I selected a 5 piece tender combo with a side of crinkle fries. First off, the slush was pretty good. At 50% sugar with boba pearls, it hit the sweet spot very well. It felt like old times when we used to order KFT often. But, the chicken combo itself was underwhelmimg. The food came out hot and ready, but the tenders were tough to break apart either by biting into it or with your hands if you dipped in any of their sauces. Sophia ordered a chicken sandwich and wasn't impressed, saying eating a Chick-Fil-A sandwich is better. That says a lot. I did take some home to eat for leftovers, but like earlier, could've been better. Not to put any bad press on the business, but it was disappointing. Again, it's basically a takeout spot and one for KFT admirers like us. We will come back only for that reason the next time we're around.
