I recently was staying at The Hammock Beach Resort and made a reservation to eat here one of the nights. I made a reservation weeks in advance and was told that it can fill up quickly. First off, the location is amazing! It's located right by the beach with every table haven't a stunning view of the ocean. It's a very nice restaurant and ambiance. There is a bar side and a dining room side. I would say the dress is nice casual, if that makes any sense. During the day I would feel comfortable being more casual than in the evening. My friend and I came for dinner and loved what we ordered. Our waitress recommended the Ahi Tuna Salad and I am so glad we listened to her. It had great flavor with the perfect amount of kick. Also, the chimchirri bread rolls was very unique and delicious. Since it was our first time the rolls were on the house. We enjoyed yummy blueberry mojitos that were so refreshing. For my entree I ordered the salmon (satueed) with the lemon burre blanc sauce with mashed potatoes and maple bacon brussel sprouts. Lastly we enjoyed their key lime pie- yum! Great views of the ocean and the Nicklaus golf course. The food is ok. Good but not special for the price. Our waiter (sorry forgot his name) was excellent) We tried two appetizers. The pork belly. This was pretty darn good. We also did the grilled oysters. These not so good. Small and overcooked. They were the size between a buckle and a quarter. They were just flat out dry. I had Redfish. Smallest portion. It was blackened but the spice was lacking . Not in quantity but in flavor. Mrs had salmon good but nothing special. I can't give it four stars but I'd do 3.5 read more

A great view with fantastic service. From the start, Patrick was a wonderful and patient server. He timed the meal among industry colleagues perfectly. We started with wonderful appetizers - bang bang shrimp and oysters Rockefeller. The bread that was complimentary was just okay. I had a nice Caesar salad which was half a romaine head. The only restaurant on the property that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We showed up the first night without a reservation and received a little tude for not having one, at which point I made sure to have one for all our other meals. The restaurant sits right at the ocean, so the views are unbeatable. The food was good, but nothing memorable except for the blackberry bourbon drink I got and the cheesecake (fantastic). Our waitress was wonderful, the view was amazing, and wine was yummy. But, WOW was that food disappointing and over priced. I'd have been upset with this meal at Outback or Longhorn. Steaks were over cooked and bland, Brussel Sprouts were literally raw, She Crab soup tasted like it came out of a can, salads were uninspiring, and the apps were mildly edible. Nothing had any flavor. All of it was cooked terribly, either raw or overcooked. I can't imagine charging what they do and sending those dishes out. 2 stars for the service and ambiance. The view is stellar and the waitstaff was very attentive. However don't come here if you are hungry. The salmon looked like they cut a half a portion from a Costco bag, 3 asparagus stalks, and 5 small potatoes. I think you guys have to step it up before we come back. read more

I really wanted to give this place a 5 star, but the waitresses or Kitchen did not bring my food out on time the table that came 35 mins after me was seated and ordered almost same thing I did got their food way before me n my kids then tip it off the lady was talking about her sister kids n family the whole time while I am trying to have a birthday dinner and just enjoy it with my family and it was irritating conversation to hear over while being with your family I could not enjoy outside dinner by time my food came out my kids was ready to go and food didn't come out hot and I had pack it to go it was waste of $200... bill, and I didn't even get dessert. I am so disappointed about the slow service I received, and the quality of food I waited on it was not a good vibe for me on my birthday. and it was an amazing view I will try it again. Excellent service from our waiter in a group of 7 guys. But the Manhattans were almost undrinkable due to excessive use of bitters. Everyone in our group loved their food. The dining room felt tired and outdated but folks are saying the new owner is going to have that whole building redone soon read more

Came here for a fund raising event for the Sea turtle hospital at Whitney laboratory. The grill provided the outdoor area. We walked inside and it all looked great. Several of the group started in the bar inside and enjoyed the quiet setting. I look forward to actually coming back for a lunch at the grill. read more

I've always loved coming here! My family has had many memories at this restaurant since I was a child and we even celebrated my parents wedding here a few years ago. The food is always amazing, the staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous, you can see the ocean and watch the waves and it's so incredibly peaceful! Beautiful atmosphere and view. Service is ok. I actually had my bridesmaids brunch here back in 2017 when I got married and today was the first time I've been back since. The food is great, although resort priced, which I guess is to be expected. I had the salmon which was amazing. The sides could use some help. The asparagus was thick and chewy and potatoes overdone so hard and dry. My husband has the ribeye which he said was good- it came with mashed potatoes which had bacon and garlic in them. My mom had the bang bang shrimp as an entree and she loved it. We enjoyed our meal but for the price and quality would go somewhere else. You should definitely come for the view though! I have never given a 1 star rating of any establishment in my life, but Atlantic Grill has most certainly earned it. We arrived at the restaurant and went to see the hostess for our reservation. Hostess says "you can sit outside at this table" and points to the table. We go to sit down, but I realize the table hasn't been cleaned. I go back inside to ask the hostess if someone can clean the table. Hostess then comes out and with us sitting at the table, starts spraying some cleaning solution all around us...beyond rude. We then wait for 20-25 mins for a waitress but no water, no menus, no drink orders, nada. I then go back into the restaurant and ask the hostess if we can get a waitress to serve us. She then says "oh, I forgot to tell her, she should be there shortly". We then wait another 20 mins and finally flag down a waitress who proceeds to tell us we are sitting in the wrong section and that this section was reserved for drinks only (as if we knew and simply did what the hostess told us to do). So, back inside to speak with the hostess who tells us "you need to be more patient, we are very busy (3 tables booked inside and a handful of tables outside!). Just when we thought things couldn't get worse, the Manager of the restaurant asks us what's going on and instead of offering up an apology, tells us to just stand there and he will sort it out. Then comes back and says we have to sit inside even though we reserved for outside and then cops attitude about it. The waiter inside was a huge improvement and made up for the lack of service otherwise. Then the food....UGH. Lackluster would describe it best. I had one of their "house specialties", the Red Fish and it was served in what was supposed to be a cast iron pan, but instead was some cheap version of cast iron and the pan kept slipping around the table. Then the fish, rice and everything in it tasted like the cheap pan, meaning I could taste the plastic taste of the pan. My friend had the shrimp which wasn't too bad and a Caesar salad. Sadly, what looks like it should be a top notch restaurant with magnificent views ended up being a bit of a debacle with regard to service which ruined a nice night for us. Comically, we actually had much better meals and 100x better service at places like Turtle Shack and other smaller less expensive places. Management/Owners at Atlantic Grill need to provide some hospitality and service training ASAP, starting with the GM or manager. read more

We had a wonderful family dinner here last night. All of the food was excellent and the service was perfect. Our waitress was knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive. They were very sweet with our kids and the kitchen was fast. My cocktail was meh, but everything else was so great it didn't even matter. I am so disappointed. Came here for a birthday dinner and ordered the most expensive item the seafood tower. It was not a tower. They put everything on ice so the crab legs, clams, muscles were all cold and had no flavor. Service was not great. I had to ask for bread, drink refills, and the dessert menu. read more

Kevin, the bartender at Atlantic Grill was absolutely awesome, he took great care of me. A+ service, very attentive, great personality, accommodating, and very professional. Highly recommend this place, the food is great, and will definitely visit again. Edit: I also sat in Madison's section on the patio, and had a great view of the ocean. She was also very attentive and nice. Again, I definitely recommend visiting this restaurant, it is the only restaurant on the Hammock Beach Resort open to the public. read more

Poor service, finally had to ask for a menu to be brought out to our table after we were told to seat ourselves and they would wait on us. Drinks were unsinkable and overpriced. If I could rate 0 stars I would. However, the two waiters I had both nights were great in spite of the obvious obstacles they were facing due to poor staff. If you are staying at this hotel just avoid this place! Unfortunately, due to rain and other issues we had to eat here twice and both times the staff cared more about clocking out and going home than actually serving the customers. And they did clock out and go home both nights despite the fact that they take reservations up until 9:30pm. We were booked at the restaurant for a 8pm dinner, however we could not check in to the Lodge because the concierge left! Since I was right there by the Atlantic Grille entrance I walked over to the front desk and explained we would be about 15 to 20 minutes late for our reservation because the concierge had left for the day and we had to go all the way to the main hotel to check in. She seriously said to me "OK, well if you are not back in 15 minutes I am marking you as a no show". It obviously wasn't a no show situation and we were only in that predicament because once again staff clocked out and went home! Her attitude was completely uncalled for. Atlantic Grille is so beyond sub par and its the only restaurant that is open to the public apparently. Both of our waiters both nights were great and nothing that happened was their fault. Let me start by saying, why are they accepting reservations half an hour to close, but then getting an attitude when it takes the customer longer than 30 minutes to eat... The first night the bartender left when I was still eating and wanted to order a drink and our waiter had to make it. I SAW the manager standing out in the corner watching us eat with his hands on his hips looking mad. We were told the restaurant closed at 11pm at check in, but apparently its 10pm. They all (staff) say once you come in and are seated they can't tell you to leave. They don't- they just clock out and leave! The seafood tower we ordered was missing about half of the seafood that we were told would be on it. It did not have 6 oysters or 1.5 lb of snow crab legs. The mushroom risotto was dry And over cooked as well as the broccolini. The prime steak did not taste like a prime steak and the seafood tasted like it had been thawed out recently. That meal was almost 200.00 before tip and was NOT worth the price. The second night the food that was prepared for me tested positive for up to 20 parts per million of gluten- after I had already discussed the whole menu with the waiter and went through what was gluten free they still served me fish that contained gluten. When I asked to send it back and have it remade they told me "oh, the chef and staff left for the night". So, whoever re-cooked the fish also came out with this excuse saying they ran out of rice and veggies because it was the end of the night. They served me bare fish with NO SIDES and still charged me the FULL PRICE OF 35.00 for it and acted like they were doing me a favor! They can not- I repeat can NOT accommodate food allergies. This place is not gluten friendly, they do have GF denotations on their menu, but if you have to ask the customer is black pepper gluten free you probably shouldn't be claiming you can accommodate someone with a gluten allergy or Celiacs Disease. The fish had an odor and also tasted pre frozen. It was overcooked and basically inedible. Again, on this night everyone was clocking out and leaving and it was about 9:30pm. They fail to realize when people are on vacation they are there to have a good time and that includes drinks and food. This is the nicest restaurant in Palm Coast so if you are staying at the hotel you are more likely to eat here especially if you got in late. So, the service they provide is very important because no one wants to stay at hotel in the middle of a city with no good restaurants and be treated like this! 2 salads, 2 drinks, and two fish dishes came to 130.00 the second night. If you are staying here please just make time to ride into the city and eat. This restaurant and the other ones on the property all have an air of entitlement and haughtiness like they know they can get away with sub par service because of their location and most of their clientele is older and they do go to bed early. The idea that this is considered a high end restaurant is laughable. Even if I take the gluten allergy out of consideration, NONE of the food was worth the amount of money they were asking. But I hope they see that fish they served me and ask themselves is that what they want people to see when they check on reviews for Atlantic Grille??? Because if I were the chef and manager I would be embarrassed. And once again both of our waiters were great so this is not about their service. And FYI breakfast service was just as bad so like I said this restaurant doesn't even deserve 1 star to be honest. read more

Gorgeous setting with indoor and outdoor options. We were glad we sat outside for our meal, conversation and laughs. The guests inside were definitely using their "inside voices". Seafood tower was fresh and delicious as were the lavender lemonades. read more

The view of the Atlantic Ocean is wonderful but the food leaves a lot to be desired. I've been there over a dozen times now and my takeaway is that the food is very dry in a kind of stuffy environment. Sitting on the balcony can be really nice if you like outdoor dining but the food is consistently mediocre at best. read more

Really enjoyed my visit here. My husband took me there for lunch. We are locals I didn't want to go there it seemed to fancy but I was wrong. We had great service. The service was terrific. Their menu was terrific and I enjoyed my burger and truffle fries. The ice tea was some of the best I've had. My view of the Atlantic Ocean was the cherry on top of the Sunday. It was pretty empty so i thought that would affect the quality (low food turnover) but it did not. I will be going back! read more

First of all, the views here are incredible! It's worth going here for a time. Kelly was our server and was very friendly and happy to be there. Night 1 we had gone for dinner. In comparison to other fine dining to the other restaurants we had been to with the same price point, the others were better. Though, I get the price point due to the high end resort. A little too much chicken au jus which made the Brussel sprouts soggy. Sweet potato hash a little more Al dente than I had anticipated. Dessert was a win and delicious! We stopped by for lunch around 12:30pm and it was so slow. Our server was wonderful and the place was nice(we sat on the patio with the beach view). The food wasn't that impressive however. French onion soup was so so and their margarita pizza crust was too think and chewy. Fish taco was recommended but it literally had chopped cabbage with fish on top, nothing else which made it quite blend. It came with salsa and sour cream which I wasn't a big fan of. My husband's burger was nice and the kids meal portion was pretty big. Their fried are crunch and crispy which I like. We're just disappointed by the slow service though it was quite empty (we didn't get our food until 2pm!). The price was decent though so we might try again next time. read more

We went to the Atlantic Grill today, Mother's Day for breakfast. Our server Kaily was wonderful. She answered all our questions with a smile, so pleasant. We ordered banana forest French toast and pancakes with fresh fruit. The food was delicious and plentiful. We will definitely come back again. read more
