**Where do I even begin?** We were visiting from out of town and made a reservation based on the website, which looked like it promised a five-star dining experience with a side of class. Spoiler alert: the only thing five-star about this place was how fast we wanted to leave. The red flags started immediately. The "ambience" was giving post-hurricane garage sale. And then the owner--dressed like a retired Jersey Shore cast member with a sad top-knot ponytail clinging to its last follicle--yelled from across the bar, "Welcome to the best restaurant in the county!" That was the first of many lies. We were squeezed six people into a table for four, even though there were plenty of empty tables, which we assume were reserved for ghosts or maybe just the owner's ego. Alcohol selection? Oh, just the finest! We asked for the beer list and were told there were *two* options. When we inquired about wine, the sommelier (a.k.a. the same server who forgot napkins, silverware, and the will to live) said, and I quote, "Red or white." That's not a wine list--it's a personality test. We were handed four sticky, mismatched menus with half the items violently Sharpied out like they'd been caught cheating on a test. At this point, most people would've made a break for it, but not us! No, we stayed. Because we're the kind of people who touch the stove *twice* just to be sure it's hot. We ordered the ahi tuna, escargot, and baked brie. The tuna came out looking like four sad, paper-thin slices of regret. No seasoning. No garnish. Not even a pity drizzle of sauce. Just raw fish, alone on a plate, contemplating its life choices. It tasted like someone froze a fish stick in 1993 and just now remembered to serve it. The escargot? Imagine rubber bands soaked in lukewarm garlic water. Now imagine paying money for that. The baked brie? Honestly, I blacked out at that point so I can't even tell you. After this culinary fever dream, we signaled for the check. That's when the owner reappeared, pants unbuttoned (WHY?!), and said--and this is 100% real--"Did I pissed you off?" Sir, the only thing more offensive than your grammar is your restaurant. We smiled, nodded, and lied that we had somewhere else to be, mostly because we feared telling the truth would end in a full-blown Jersey brawl in the parking lot. Final verdict: Never going back. You shouldn't go either. Save yourself. Go eat a gas station hot dog. Trust me--it'll be better. read more

386 is located on A1A about 5 minutes north of the A1A-Camino Del Mar Parkway intersection, in a property with a pleasant beach cottage vibe. There is a bar and a few tables on one side, and another dining room opposite. Note that they only serve wine and beer. Our visit was wonderful, marred only by a bit of sloppy service at the outset, but once Antoinette took over, all was great. She's a gem and 386 needs to hang onto her. Our party of four had the scallops special, 2x pasta with lobster, and a filet mignon. All were excellent!! The pasta with lobster featured LARGE chunks of lobster tail and claw meat, and the truffle Alfredo sauce was to die for. The scallops were cooked perfectly, and the meat lover in the group LOVED her filet. Even better, all of the entrees were reasonably priced, and the onion soup, salads and appetizers were downright cheap. The Caesar salad and onion soup were delicious. I've read a few reviews that trashed this restaurant, and that scorn is undeserved. We're going to request a reservation for later in the week so we can return to 386. What a cute place. So glad I found it on Yelp and read through some reviews because it motivated me to select it for our family dinner. And we were very pleased. We had a large group and I will start with my first compliment, which is that they accommodated a group of 11 and best of all...I could make a reservation that night on Open Table. Loved that convenience. When we arrived we were graciously greeted by the owner and it all went beautifully from there. He made some excellent recommendations. Everything ordered at the entire table was excellent from the gator tail to the kids burger to the kids chicken (the fries were amazing) to the sea scallops to the pork bolognese. He was attentive and personable. (And the sauce with the gator tail was an excellent dipping sauce for the French fries!) So glad we decided to venture to a new, unknown spot. We had to dine here again! We had visited 386 Fusion in April 2023, and planned to dine again on this second vacation in the area. Frank and his crew provide fabulous fish meals that are unique and beyond excellent. I'm impressed with the extensive wine list, unique appetizers and salads. I started with the Strawberry Gorgonzola salad - awesome! Then I was "wowed" by a melt-in-your mouth Black Grouper special. I don't know how the veggies and risotto can be so delectable too. We savored a bottle of chardonnay recommended by Frank which was perfect with the fish. It was a Wednesday and a special half-price bottle was a great surprise savings! The service was terrific, too, being a slow time this early in the evening. I appreciated the cozy and quiet dining room where it was comfortable to enjoy conversation. I wish we had several more people with us so we could try more of the menu items. I'll be back the next opportunity I have in Palm Coast/Flagler Beach! read more

The server Jeanie said she was giving us dessert on her and we didn't want dessert. She gave us two anyway to bring home. The owner said he was taking off my grandsons steak because of the I convenience. We went last evening for the first time, going there. We had 5 o'clock reservations. We arrived to a line waiting to get In, as the doors were not open. When the doors opened, everyone slowly walked in, to where a guy, who was wearing ripped jeans and a T shirt, checked to see if there were reservations made. Once he saw we had a reservation, he pointed to a room, off to the left. He was not friendly, and there was no greeting, and he was yelling at people who said they had reservations, but he couldn't find them. He said it was a bad night. He was yelling at them!! We were not seated by anyone, just left to pick out a table. At 5:35 we still hadn't had anyone ,come to the table to take a drink order. At 5:40 they took the order, only for use to wait another 10 minutes!. Very limited choice, and even the girl said they have very little beer choices, so we drank wine, which was less than average! Since it was Valentine's Day it was fixed menu. There was no place setting the table, except a knife and a fork. A woman came in, around 6 o'clock with napkins. We later found out this was the owners wife. The couple to our right, just up and left, after they waited for an hour, to even be attended to, by a server. I wanted to do the same, but where would we go on Valentine's Day as everything would be booked!! The choice, on the fixed menu, was so very limited. My husband had the noodle bowl, which had very spicy noodles and a few (three) pieces of meat. It was terrible! My pork meal was just ok, and nothing special. There is more to a restaurant than good food, which this place lacks It's called hospitality, and this place has none! Terrible, terrible service, and not good food! It ruined our Valentine's night! Especially since I made the reservation two weeks in advance. We could have gone anywhere but here. The Atlantic Grill is right down the road and I wish we has gone there. The dinner was not cheap, and because my husband is. so nice, he tipped 20 percent. They did not deserve that at all!! We should've voiced our complaint, but all we wanted to do, was get out of there!!! Lesson learned. We will never go back, and I advise others reading this, not to go there! read more

I wouldn't give this place any stars because the owner who thinks he's out of the Jersey shore is rude and is not a businessman. Maybe that's why he has lost it so many times. I made a reservation for Valentines Day about a week ago in advance for my wife and I. And when we got there we were told it was a bad night and he tried to call me several times when there was not a phone call from that place. We are locals and live down the street. First time eating at 386 and it was fabulous. First impressions upon entering I was skeptical. This is not a fancy 5 star ambiance. However it is relaxed, comfortable and homey. The owner waited on us and he was inviting, friendly and helpful with both wine and food suggestions. He cares about his customers and wants to ensure that your visit exceeds your expectations. My wife ordered the blue crab encrusted flounder while I had the filet. Both entrees were excellent. We also started with the escargot which was also excellent. The waiter (owner) suggested a white wine to pair with our meals which was delicious. Stumbled on this restaurant and glad we did! When you pull up, it looks like a run down house (photo below) but inside it was fairly nice. Prices were a little high for the ambiance, but the food we ordered was delicious. Calamari for appetizer, homemade soup, Cesar salad with homemade dressing were all very good. BEST MEAL EVER! So my husband and I were staying at Hammock Beach in 2020 when a guy we met at the pool asked us what our dinner plans were for that night. We told him Delfinos (at the resort) to which he turned his nose up at. He said don't go there, go to 386, so we did. We fell in love and have been dying to come back! 2 years later and it's just as delicious as we remembered. Literally. We can't stop talking about it. *Insider scoop- if you go on Wednesday ask about the Wine Down Wednesday special. They aren't doing it anymore, it's something called "Wacky Wednesday" and it's not on the menu, only by request! You get an appetizer, two entrees, a dessert, and a bottle of wine for $75!!! Any selection you want- ribeye, filet, lobster you name it! I mean what?! What an amazing deal! We started with the FogBank Pinot Noir which is nothing fancy, but tasty. Next we ordered the jalapeño poppers which were on special and they came with a raspberry chipotle sauce. The Caesar salad in my husbands words-- "I'm a Caesar salad connoisseur and this is one of the best I've ever had. Perfect amount of dressing and I love the bowl!" He also ordered the ribeye which came with carrots and mashed potatoes which honestly-- the sides stole the show. The carrots are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Never thought I'd say that but they do something quite magical with them. I ordered the filet medium and it came out a little bloody. I felt so bad because I never send steak back but I couldn't stomach it. They were so nice and just put it back on the grill a few minutes and it came back perfectly. Our server was Angela and man was she a gem! So nice, so attentive, and just the best! We had to have 2 desserts-- the crème brûlée and a tuxedo chocolate bomb- it had chocolate and vanilla mousse on the inside and a hard chocolate shell on the outside. OMG. Delish! If I was just reviewing the food alone, I would give it four stars because the food was yummy but since I also have to review the service, the owner, the wine selection/lack there of or a wine menu, the ambience, the cleanliness, the list could go on and on, and being generous with a two. Check out the curtains on the wall behind us.... Dorm room? Drug house? Never mind the water coming out of the wall and covering the floor( at least they put up a wet floor sign to warn you) or the waitress taking orders and delivering food with her baby in a front pack.... This was our 2nd try here for dinner. Hesitant as my wife got sick 1st time from the stuffed fish entree. Unimpressed both times. It looks like a dive outside (needs some TLC) & is a more of a beach bar dive inside than "A Fusion of Fine Eating"! Food is OK, but nothing "bistro-like" here, especially for their inflated prices relative to the quality received. Plated visuals are unimpressive. Looks at the attached pics... The poor waitress had to handle the entire dining room to the point we bussed our own tables to fit the food coming out from the kitchen 90 minutes after ordering and the "Guido" (owner/manager?) never helped his staff. Then the bill came and wine price was wrong (x-tra $10 added). When I pointed it out, Guido was perturbed to adjust the bill to the correct amount. It's a 3 at best! My wife and I, and the couple who invited us, arrived at 386 at about 5:25 on an early Saturday evening. That's a great time. We had the restaurant to ourselves almost, save a couple across the way in a dimly lit corner. We were seated in the corner opposite, at a table next to the wall served by an upholstered bench and chairs. It was a great location. We got menus right away and a hearty welcome from a man I found out later was a cook, server and most everything else, including owner - Frank. What a great selection to choose from. I didn't get a picture, but note it was very different from what's attached to this site. My wife had a Peroni Italian beer in a nice frozen glass and the owner brought a couple of bottles of wine for us to try before deciding. I had a Marlborough SB, there was also a Chard and Cab poured. Each $10 for a very generous pour. The beer was $6. We ordered the following: conch fritters, escargot, cioppino, double portion of the lollipop lamb chops, a pork chop and the lobster ravioli. Everything was fantastic. The conch fritters were easily more conch than batter and simply the best I've ever had. I was served my cioppino. Hot and steaming. This was so good that I had to ask for a spoon to finish off the sauce! Plenty of mussels, clams, shrimp and whitefish in a beautifully spicy sauce. The others at the table finished all their food off, as well and we passed on the notion of dessert. It was a fun experience, interacting with the people next to us (the place had filled up!) in a way that we should have let them pay our tab. A Vietnam vat (like me) was with them so I talked to him briefly. Felt like family. They were a table of ten!! I was simply great food, fun times and reasonably priced. My girlfriends and I spent the week in the Palm Coast area with our families. We were looking for an amazing dinner for our Girls night out. We stumbled upon 386 from the great Yelp reviews they received. We started our amazing meal with chilled jumbo lump crab and colossal shrimp, amazing lump crab cakes, and buttery garlicky escargo. The owner Frank was attentive and kind and visited our table to make sure we are having the best experience. He gave us detailed information about the menu and answered any questions we had. For dinner we enjoyed Mediterranean Branzino , Hogfish topped with crab meat, and Filet mignon cooked to perfection. For dessert we enjoyed an fantastic creme brulee. We had reservations at 5 and a show to catch 40 minutes away in St Augustine at 7:30. The place was shabby on the outside with old, overflowing ashtrays at the from door. Full of water and butts. Looked in the windows and no one there. Waited for 10 minutes and knew we time challenged. About then a man in white sweats and a T-shirt drives up and says "I'm going to open but I'm not supposed to be working" and lets us in. The place is dark and.no signs of life in the dining area or the kitchen. At this point I'm not feeling good. But I had purchased a Groupon deal and didn't want to lose the Jack. So we were led to a dirty and dusty table and sat down. A few minutes later the guy comes back with two sheets of paper printed at home that was the menu. About two apps and three main courses, none exactly Fusion. I decided we needed to cut our losses and walked into the bar area where the lone employee/owner was. The had three cheap bottles of wine and the bar was totally unstocked. Before I say anything he yells "I'm busy". I told him that we were pressed for time and had pre-purchased dinner for two plus a bottle of wine. I said I'm not looking for a refund but we'll take a bottle of wine with us and call it a day. Then he starts yelling at me that he's not giving us anything and talking trash. We left without getting anything other than yelled at. I'm trying to get Groupon to refund. But that seems very unlikely. Avoid this place. Read the FB reviews, not just look at their overall score. Our experience was similar to many others. read more
