My parents told me the food was bland. The waitress also messed up our order and brought out two grilled cheeses instead of two grilled chicken sandwiches. I didn't eat after my third bite because PLASTIC WAS COOKED INTO MY FOOD. There was a piece of plastic cooked into my omelette. Mangled into it. I chewed into it. The manager denied anything was wrong with how the kitchen was being managed. I spoke with the owner to let him know. I honestly for the life of me cannot not comprehend how this place is being rated so highly. I went here the other night to try out this newly "renovated" diner and let's just say I am glad there are other choices semi nearby. The rundown: Our waitress while extremely nice was completely delusional and couldn't remember anything. Our orders came out with missing items or the wrong items. The food: usually when you go to the diner your completely drunk and trying to celebrate a great night however arriving sober I wish there was a draft of anything to help me forget this meal. Two of us got cheeseburger deluxe platters that were supposed to come with french fries and onion rings, we only recieved french fries which were undercooked and dry with no flavor( thankful for Ketchup!) The burgers were cooked perfectly however the buns were already soggy when they came out and after a bite they completely fell apart. We also ordered wings and there was a total of 6 wings for about 8 bucks and they were roughly the size of a quarter. Completely disappointed. This place while shiny and new lacks where it counts, on the inside. read more

The food is good and there is tons of it! I have come here at different times for breakfast, lunch, dinner and we have hosted party's here. We have NEVER been let down! After dancing yesterday night at Zen Hibachi Lounge, some of my friends and I headed over to Atlantic Diner (1:40AM). The ceiling is really cool. There's fish in the sky! [eye candy] As we walked in, the group of ladies/waitresses to the left paid no mind to us. The register area, was also busy, and we were looking around and waiting to be seated. There were plenty of booths open. Finally, one of the waiters noticed us, and he takes us to a booth far away from the main entry. Thank goodness! It was really chilly that night and we were all wearing skimpy clothes for our shenanigans prior! The waiter was really humbling and humorous. Becky made a lot of unique comments and he played along. :) [verbal candy] I ordered eggs over easy w/ some toast. Becky had sweet potato fries and battered shrimp. Sam got regular fries with calamari, and Ena had buffalo wings with coffee. Everyone loved their dishes. It was fresh and delicious. The tables and booths were clean, but the window sill was a bit dusty. They should get a fluffy swiffer-duster and rid of the dust in a few minutes! This diner is far from excellent. My sister and I decided we should stop by and take a look at the menu. We ended up staying and going with the Dinner for 2 special listed in the menu. Be prepared to eat!! My sister and I shared an appetizer (mozzarella sticks). Following the appetizer came a choice between a soup or a salad... the soup is soooooo amazingggggg. After eating our soup then came our entrees. By time our food came we were so full from what we have just eaten. The entrees are big and extremely tasteful. We ended up asking for to-go boxes because it was too much. Just when we thought our meal was complete, the waiter (who was extremely amazing by the way) came around asking what we would like as dessert.... So just to recap, the Dinner for Two included ... an appetizer (to share), choice of soup or a salad, an entree and a dessert for $36.99 and with tax $40.00 for 2 people... we really can't beat this price .. overall excellent experience and I would definitely return again read more

My sister and I stopped in on a friday for late night breakfast. The waiter took care of us promptly. Now on to the food. I personally think that this place is overpriced for what they sell. I had chicken with waffles and my chicken was under seasoned with a dry waffle but I'm easy to please so I did not complain (I don't believe in complaing about food ;/) my sister got an omelette (Atlantic omelette) her dish was brick cold and under seasoned. I was not impressed. However I have given this place 4 stars because they have really great drinks!! I had a frozen margarita and it was delicious (made perfectly) and the tequila sunrise was yummy, strong and definitely carried over a true tequila sunrise taste. I would go back for the drinks alone. With that said.. work on the dishes and we would be good to go read more

I love this diner so much. I've been going here ever since it opened up! Their breakfast is so delicious. I always order banana pancakes or Belgian waffles and they never disappoint! And the dessert selection is amazing. It's worth coming here for a slice of cake and French vanilla ice cream. I recommend the chocolate fudge cake! Super creamy and a moist cake, very delicious. I also recommend the Belgian waffle sundae. 10/10 read more

Told the manager the calamari was not good (no one at the table touched it) and this weirdo stuck his hand into it and started eating it at the table talking about "this is the best calamari I've ever had." Also disrespected us and spoke to me like a child "I've been in this industry 50 years" um okay, and?? I've been in the same industry for almost ten. What a jerk with a sickening superiority complex. I really like this diner. I don't frequent dinners often but this is one I continue to come back to and will refer to others. Service is quick, everyone is friendly, the food is good and they have free parking. Hidden gem for sure! I usually get the fried chicken and waffles which isn't the healthiest option but tastes a lot better and lighter than it would in other restaurants. We always order from the diner because the food is good. The reason for my one star is because my daughter bought a gyro platter STATING ONLINE for $13.25 and in their paper menu I have it for $15.50 YET they charged about $19 and change and the lady said that they charge about $18.. I'm sorry but that is extremely rude. Why up charge clients during these horrible times everyone is going through. If you have not updated the pricing online then please do so because it's very misleading and we end up paying so much more than what it should actually be or at least honor the price if someone is showing you how much they see it for. read more

Im shocked Atlantic Diner has 3 stars only. My family and I have been coming here for many years. Way before they renovated everything. To begin with the managers and owner are very sweet people. They are always making sure costumers are welcomed and are provided with great costumer service. Coming here since I was a kid I highly recommend their cheese burger delux, waffles, pancakes, gyros, buffalo wings and greek omlete with homefries. This place is always busy on the weekends and I always see other tables satisfied with their food which is WHY the 3 star shocked me. The prices are reasonable, its not cheap but what do you expect? The portions are big. - came back here yesterday with my father and aunt who came to visit New York and we had a great time. I ordered a greek omelette/home fries and turkey sausage, my father 2 eggs sunnyside with homefriend and sausage and my aunt western omelette. All I can say is delicious. Food was tasteless, how can a diner's coffee taste so bad?I ordered a panini italiino but was given a piece of nasty tasting,dry chicken on a bun with some bottled roasted pepper from costco.When I ask the waitress if a mistake was made she replied that that's how their panini is made. Mind you the picture on the menu showed a well press crusted brown sandwich. The service was equally bad, was seated quickly and ordered coffee, tasted burnt like the last bit in the pot on the fire and this is about seven on a friday evening. They took over twenty minutes to come take our order although the place was almost empty. Had to ask for the cole slaw and pickle that came with the meal. Come time to pay there wasn't any one who was able to open the register to take our payment, waited fifteen minutes to pay. Can't image how this establishment can function and make money like this, every one seemed to be clueless... Will stick with Classic Diner a few blocks away. read more

This is a very decent diner in Queens. The food is good (basic diner fare - eggs, pancakes, burgers, etc.). The service is friendly if a bit intrusive. The prices are very fair. The bathrooms also appeared very clean. When in Queens, this is a good option. read more

This place is pretty good! Newly renovated and rather pristine inside, it's a nice place to eat. We stopped in for lunch one day, and had to get back to an appointment fairly quickly. The waitress took out order quickly and brought out our food right on time. It's typical diner fare with an expansive menu of just about everything, but from the three dishes we ordered, they do it better than most traditional diners. My tuna melt on pitta bread was generously sized and the fries were fresh and tasty. My coworkers roast beef sandwich looked delicious and my other coworkers burger was cooked just right. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, I've been going to Atlantic diner my whole life but it seems the new management is careless. The employees are rude, I ordered two ice coffees and received only one and when questioned about it they blamed it on the Uber driver because supposedly everything was in the bag. This has been the worst diner experience I've had in a while. Waitress takes an order at 12:05pm and the food arrive at 12:55pm, if this was a overloading order I would understand but it was only a waffle with scrambled egg, bagel with lox, and corn beef hash with 3 eggs. People who arrived before us received their food prior to my order be served and when the food arrived all the hot food was cold. Never in my life I had my home fries arrived cold ever. The one time I order from this place, they screwed up my entire order. What a disgrace! I asked for turkey bacon and they sent me regular bacon instead. Burned bacon at that. I ordered coffee and they didn't even bother to send the coffee with the order. Then when I tried calling the restaurant, no one answers. One of the most favorite places to have weekend brunch. The diner is big, so you can always find a spot even on the busiest days. Food is excellent. My favorite is two eggs omelette with sausage or bacon and home fries, but they have a lot of the other great selection. I like the marine themed interior and the fact that they have different halls to choose from. Waiters are always friendly and helpful. Service is hit or miss here. The kitchen can often get swamped and the staff can sometimes pass along the wrong order to the back. The parking is really convenient, they have a lower level but I have never used it for fear of not getting back out or scratches on the car. The food is standard diner fare, huge portions sometimes an appetizer can be as big for one person. My favorite is the stuffed mushrooms and Calimari. Good for a late night meal after a party, but not really for much else. read more

It might look good in the glass case but it tastes like feces :-( I made this mistake twice! FOOD: Philly Cheese Steak - terrible. It was extremely dry and there was like no meat. Appetizer platter for one - HUGE. But it's typical fried nasty food. NOMNOM. Greek Salad - Surprisingly delish! Chef Salad - Delish as well! Chicken Cutlet BLT - meh. The chicken cutlet itself was kind of dry and the sandywitch (sandwich) was stacked so high, I didn't know if my mouth would rip open trying to eat this dry "sandywitch". I wouldn't order again. I would probably come back because it's open so late and has a vast array of random dishes.. yeah.. ... only go if you're desperate and you don't want to feel guilty after eating fast food like McDonalds or Wendy's. read more
