Belgian Waffles with Eggs (2) & Bacon and strawberry pancakes & American omelette

Service was awful. Absolutely distasteful. Our server Mary was not intent on giving patience, not speaking up and thus getting irritated when WE couldn't hear HER, the menu apparently is not written correctly if I can order a hot chocolate but you can only get one size unless it's takeout-WHICH IT DOESN'T SPECIFY, made a comment on the food we were ordering in comparison to our group, never checked on us, ignored me the first time I tried to let her know we needed the bill so I needed to try again-EVEN THOUGH SHE WAS LOOKING DIRECTLY AT US, and lastly I had to go up to pay the bill when usually someone comes to handle the transaction. As a former waitress and someone who has worked other customer service jobs, this was not it. I would 100% not operate like that and have never. The food was not as great as it was last week, either. The service alone will not allow me to return after being a frequent visitor of 8 years! Hard pass for me.

I like diners for the variety cuisine of food listed in the menu. Ahh.. diners is the embodiment of American optimism and nostalgia for a sense of comfort, sustainability and stability. Breakfast served all day adds another positive aspect to the American diner experience. It has been a long while since I had Belgian waffles. Belgian waffles with turkey sausage accompanied with butter and syrup $14.50 which was a good value. Customer service is average and attentive as I dine alone. Atmospheric conditions are of standard American diner - relaxed and family oriented. Thankfully, no boisterously loud music here. Takeout menu is available for grabs as well as a catering menu. The takeout menu is a full-scale menu selection in a booklet form like a event program. Note: This diner operates 24 hours.

What an adventure in disappointment. Been coming to this diner over 40 years. The ambiance is fine. Brought grandma and daughter for dinner. Gramma ordered omelette with hash browns. It came with two over-fried dollar store frozen hash browns. My gyro platter came with over-fried onion rings and the gyro lamb was hard enough to eat as jerky. But over 40 years, you can't expect perfection every time. However.. When I bought this to the attention of the waiter, his response was " I only serve the food. " He said he'd bring the manager who never came. No offer to take anything off the $82 bill. I paid at the counter and said I wouldn't pay to for service and food. Cashier turned away completely indifferent. I used to take clients and public officials to eat here. NEVER AGAIN!!! Classic on Jamaica and Esquire on Woodhaven will graciously have my business from now on.

Food- 3/5 Service- 3.5/5 Ambiance- 4/5 Overall I'd give Atlantic Diner a solid 3/5. Let's start with the food. Everything tasted pretty standard. The broccoli had no flavor. The home fries were okay. The service was good. We had to stop other servers a few times, and the staff seemed like they were okay with it. I'm sure they're used to it. It was nonstop crowded and also a Sunday so I don't know if that made a difference. The seating was tight and the diner looks to hold about 50 people in the front dining area where I sat. Thumb up and would return. If you're looking for a larger portioned, moderately priced, basic breakfast, stop by!

scrambled egg with ham on a roll

i'm not a huge fan of diners, but I'm happy they're still around. Whenever I get my car in for an oil change, I always come to this diner. It is solid. And today I had a perfect scrambled egg with ham on a roll. And a very nice cup of coffee. The staff is very nice and efficient. The place is clean.

    Chicken Parmigiana Panini
    William G.

I gave this place 3 starts for being able to accommodate a large group on short notice. We all gathered here after a funeral to eat and catchup. The service was all over the place. When we first got there they seemed to be very attentive but as time went on they slowly began to fade and become nonexistent. I ordered the chicken parmigiana panini which had very little resemblance to a panini. The bread was hero bread with thin strips of chicken cutlet that couldn't accommodate the excessive amount of hero bread, with mozzarella cheese. The marinara sauce has absorbed into the bread and therefore made the "panini" super dry. I had to ask for a side of marinara to help with the dryness. When a place has pages upon pages of menu items, it's probably not going to be a good experience. Or maybe that's just my experience. Call the dish what it really is but don't slap chicken on hero bread, throw it under a panini press that can't fit the amount of bread and then call it a panini. Lastly, the prices are RIDICULOUSLY unreasonable. I seen an egg salad sandwich with bacon for $14.95. I'm one and done with this spot.

    Shirley temple
    Shawnie J.

It's in the corner of a busy street but they conveniently have a parking garage. I had the two eggs over medium with turkey sausage and fries, the food did not please my taste buds especially the turkey sausage. The Shirley temple was nasty bland and tasted like seltzer. The fries were fries and the appetizer sampler was just frozen fried food whatever. The cost and the flavor do not go together. The waitress was sweet and attentive and the place looks clean but I'm not going back.

O T should be employee of the century! The Food: I forget what my daughter had but there were no complaints, my granddaughter had Za, something that ever kid likes. My grandson is sd burger and fries. I should have had that but I opted for the sampler which consisted of pig n blankets, wings, and sliders. Every thing was really tasty but a bit too much for me. I was rescued by my granddaughter, she ate my last two pigs in the blanket. I guess she don't like blankets so she ate the pigs only. I don't think I'll be going to any other D & B, I mean when you've had the best service and all, the bar was set. Going anywhere else is below standard. Inspire more, Yelp more!

For my entree, I ordered the vodka rigatoni and a side of buttered broccoli. The vodka rigatoni was really good - liked the flavor and a decent size of pasta. The broccoli was really good for some reason to me. Also tried the truffle mac and cheese which was incredibly rich and tasted great. As a dessert, we had the chocolate pie which was dense, rich, and topped with a huge dollop of whipped topping. I really liked the atmosphere of the place, loud roaring 20s style with jazz playing. While the Filet Mignon was a popular and well loved choice among our group, and the Meatballs were universally raved about for being truly excellent, the real showstopper for me was the Chicken Parmesan. I don't typically order steak, so I was delighted by this choice. The cutlet was impressively sized yet elegantly thin, showcasing the high quality of the chicken. It was served with a side of creamy mashed potatoes, which was such a comforting and delicious pairing.
