Atlantic terminal Center

This Plaza/Center is my hub for transport. If I'm going home to LI or Penn from BKLY this is my spot to pick up the LIRR. After shopping on Fulton Mall this is my stop to grab my cab for Bedstuy so it's safe to say I'm always here rain, sun or snow. In the warmer months while I'm awaiting my transportation it's nice to sit outside. When it's cold out, I have to find other means of occupying my time so I appreciate having stores like Target, DSW and V Secrets or even Starbucks, stone cold and other fast food restaurants to pass the time. I've also noticed stores like music, optician,Verizon, dentist, city bank and clothes to name a few. Little altercations tend to happen here as it appears to be a popular hangout for teens and the young and restless. I would advice everyone to be mindful of their bags and purchases here. It isn't the best spot in the world but it isn't the worst either. Oh and the empanada and natural smootie trucks on the Hanson place side rocks! The End

For some reason, actually like being in this place. I do a lot of waiting for trains and I go to the mall a lot. I think the biggest thing that they're missing here is seating. While waiting for trains, a lot of people are leaning on random objects, on the walls and even sitting on the floor. A few benches here and there would really be nice.

Needs immense improvement, but it's a local hot spot. I'd rather still have it there just in case.

This location as well has a few places to eat. Apple Bees, Chuckie Cheese, and Subways to name a few. Easily accessible. All trains including the LLIR stops at Atlantic Terminal. Weekends I do not recommend stopping by unless it is first thing in the morning. Can get really crowded. Security and police are around. The times I have gone to Atlantic Terminal is safe to be at, no rowdiness, or anything out of the normal.

The only thing…read morereally good about this mall is it is easily accessible from queens and long island do to the long island railroad.dont get me wrong you have a lot of good stores in this place but the staff sucks.and the place was not clean .especially in side apple bees bathrooms from the mens to the women's.i was told about the women's rest room in there they said it was terrible. But when i was in the restaurant eating there was fly flying around in there .not good for a establishment like that .I wont go back .and they have a target in side it was not organized at all self check out was a disaster long lines in both ,regular and self check out. But like I said as far as the transportation goes that is the good part of this terminal leaving . from long island or going to longiland. The commute is so fast back to Babylon or long beach or back to queens or Brooklyn. It beats the subway any day for a fare for $9.00 you can purchase the tickets from the machine or the ticket windows.

For department store shoppers you have target store inside Atlantic termina you also have the famous Macy's department store .and as far as restaurants go you cant for get the famous juniors restaurant for some good food and cheese cake. A wide assortment of retailers including chain stores, fast food restaurants, food carts, banks and fights, (you're almost certain to see some type of disagreement. Waayyy) to name a few. Jewelry and electronic stores seems to be the King here with trainers store running a close second. If you're on a budget you're gonna love it here. It's mainly a pedestrian shopping street but buses are allowed and I've seen a few privately owned vehicles pass through as well. It's kept clean and WE can do our part by making use of the many garbage bins provided. I've noticed a lot of "closing down" signs on storefronts and I really hope it isn't another sign of gentrification. I hope they aren't pushing the little ones out for all big chains because I'll have something to say! **Thinking** Tip: walk up one side and walk down the next, don't be a hero (like) me and cross like a mad woman each time you see a store you wanna visit. I get to FSM using the subway. I sometimes get off at the Hoyt street and schemerhorn station but if you want to get to the heart of it, get off at the Jay Street-MetroTech station. Of course I'll be back! The End.

I see something or someone every night who stands near the guard by the entrance, say nothing, but don't know why no one does. I mean he should respectfully change sometime, not outstay his welcome. I try to speak to the guard who pretends to speak another language than English. The fact he did that was not nice, disrespectful and if anything ever were to happen he would be a zero, not act, and we don't need that. The guards all around are good. I don't feel this one would protect us since his character is poor. I really didn't appreciate his poor judgement and he does speak English, I just didn't hear the last thing he said and he would not tell me and said he didn't speak English when we were talking in English. Crazy, as I didn't need that Attitude when I wanted to help. The guy hanging out isn't causing trouble, but he is by the edge of the elevator early at night every night. And obviously the guard is sexist because he isn't giving him the cold shoulder he gave me. One would hope when someone speaks to a guard that they would respond. I happen to have left my purse in the theater, so I went back after all, got it then when I passed him this time at 230am I walked by him as if he didn't exist because he treated me as if I didn't exist and he is there for our safety. That guard is just collecting. He is useless. I don't trust his ability to be helpful. Courtesy goes along way. He knows that man is there, fine, and now you know that guard apparently discriminates and should anything bad truly happen he would act stupid and play dumb again. I'm not playing with my life. If I speak up, I care, so if someone needs help, and they ask him, he probably would have another disturbing reaction.

There are also a number of buses that stop in the vicinity. Walking inside from street level, what you immediately notice is the very tall atrium the extends upward a couple stories to a wide, slightly domed sky light that provides some picturesque streams of light to illuminate the inside of building, depending on the time of day. There are stairs that wind around a column where you can ascend to get a closer view of the ceiling structure, and a birdseye view of the open floors below. Of course as with most NYC subway stations with more than a couple lines criss-crossing, make sure you're reading the signs that direct you to the correct lines headed uptown or downtown. To the uninitiated it can be confusing. As for stores inside, to name a few there's Shake Shack, Chik-fil-A, Dunkin Donuts, Krispy Kreme, Gong Cha, a couple Irish pubs, Gateway Newsstand, a wine/liquor store, a barber shop, Duane Reade, Auntie Annie's Pretzels, a florist. Generally speaking this station is on the cleaner side compared to most.
