I remember when it was a movie theater, and even when it was party city. Also one of the newest additions is Fairway supermarket which everybody was excited about when it opened. Payless shoe store, Five Below, Dressbarn, a local drive thru bank. A luggage store, beauty supply store, 5 below and Chipotle. During the pandemic, there were quite a few ups and downs,but most stores have survived. One of my favorite go to places, close to home and 3 of my favorite foodie spots are here as well. And let's not forget Starbucks. You can't go wrong.

The location is great, coming from Queens, I can hop on the N two blocks away and not venture north into the seafood markets. The location is situated right before the street fair like market where the crowd dissipates or disperses.

You could also call it good, if you're into purchasing dollar DVDs after you stuff your face with dim sum. And that's all I have to say about that.

The views on the other hand are wonderful. The EO logo frames the view of NYC so beautifully. Nice to take a seat and enjoy a sunny day. Found a cute shirt and a nice dress for travel in the sale section at Banana Republic. Got some bathing suits at a store that was going out of business. After shopping, pay your respects at the Staten Island September 11th Memorial. Postcards honors and remembers the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks and the 1993 World Trade Center bombings. Look through the wings of the giant sculpture. It frames Ground Zero. Never forget.

Prices are on the high end but if you take into account the craftsmanship and the quality.. it's reasonable. Anthropologie items can cost 2 - 3x what's in the store... This store is as eclectic as it is colorful, with shades of pink and orange, highlighting the color organized, vintage/carefully sourced clothing items. Shoes are lined along the racks underneath, and as you get further back into the store, you'll find an array of trinkets and accessories like no other, as well as one changing area shielded by a curtain. The staff here is great! Every time I've stopped by, they've made it a point to answer all my questions and assist me without hesitation. The last time I was there, I met the owner, who is such a gem! She was so excited to hear about why I was shopping and to share The history of some of the items I was interested in. She is also a metal smith and helped me select a silver necklace that said AG (get it? Like silver on the table of elements?!) for my friend who had those initials and let me try on so many items before I selected a super cozy hot pink hoodie. You can definitely find some deals here, but I will say the majority of the items are a bit on the pricier side, given the nature of how they were selected by the owner during her travels. Every time I'm in the neighborhood, I make it a point to stop by and say hi and check out what they have to offer.

They know how to curate all the best, pricey, fun items around (Moschino for example)! I was obsessed with some of the pieces this recent weekend. The only draw back is that the sizes can run small with certain items. The house wares, I adore! The bright colors really bring joy to my day. I loved the multi colored tiki glasses, the vintage pie pans, The Jon Burgerman plates are absolutely fantastic and there are some very tempting purse and shoes. And as I mentioned, it's a luck of the draw if it's your size. It's usually pretty calm when I come in. You do need to buzz the door. And the people working are always willing to assist in anyway. I want to keep my eye on them and see what comes in. This would be a great spot for soft launches or vintage pop ups or local designers. Just fashion food for thought. Keep up the great work! Bravo!

You can get a coffee and a treat and sit in the back and just enjoy the beautiful greenery. You don't even feel like you're in the city anymore, this yard transports you to a different place and time. The people are so friendly, so customer service is also nice. I haven't been here for an event but I'm told they host yoga, chess game nights and Gay Ridge events. I plan on checking those out soon. For an afternoon espresso, brownie, and nice outdoor space, this hits the spot.

Leo, and his son Greg, along with a very helpful staff, own and operate a real 7 days a week neighborhood discount store that is a step above the 99 cent stores in quality but competitive with them in price. From $1 vitamin water to deals on cereal, pasta, health and beauty care products, greeting cards, school supplies, small appliances to toys, Discount Plus is the place just about everyone goes in the neighborhood. I think it is that small town touch of knowing their customers names that really makes the store special. So if you want to save money and need something for your house or apartment, definitely think Discount Plus!

The kitchen towels worth to be used and through into the garbage, since their prices are too low. What does it say about us as, I will leave that open at that point. They could be more helpful, but when someone is asking you twice about something that cost a dollar, I understand that sometime they prefer not to show where it is. After all, we need the discount stores.
