    Tom hanks. The terminal mall.

The Pacific Ocean is alive and well, but the Atlantic is dying, because Atlantic is Terminal. Just Mall that over for a few minutes. Pretty decent mall right next to the Barclays Center which is somewhere that I would definitely shop if I lived in downtown Brooklyn because they have a Target, and some other cool big box stores, and some that are less cool.

Gotten worst in the past couple of years. Don't waste your time shopping there. I understand they maybe trying to prevent loitering or unnecessary lounging around but there is not a single bench to sit for a minute. I sat on a corner to organize my purchases and a security guard came over to tell me that I could not sit there. If they were a place to sit I would not have sat where I sat. No considerations given to shoppers, I will not be returning.

This location AC is horrible. Don't go on a hot day to walk around in the shopping section.

For department store shoppers you have target store inside Atlantic termina you also have the famous Macy's department store .and as far as restaurants go you cant for get the famous juniors restaurant for some good food and cheese cake. Buffalo wild wings .and if you are looking to eat a little healthy you have a whole food super market over there .this area of Brooklyn is also jumping very busy. It gives you the nyc experience at it's best the hussle and bustle. It can get kinda rowdy some times during the day when the school kids are going home . There is also alot of renovation rebuilding of stores and restaurants .it is looking much better over there alot of diversity on the legendary Fulton street downtown Brooklyn .from what I see it is only going to to get better .and as far as downtown Brooklyn goes it is the home of our Brooklyn nets .nyc new favorite basketball team ,for all the nets fans Brooklyn stand up.i know this would make the late notorious Biggie smalls proud of his borough

It's always buzzing!…read more As many a time as I've been here I cannot get enough of Fulton Street Mall. A wide assortment of retailers including chain stores, fast food restaurants, food carts, banks and fights, (you're almost certain to see some type of disagreement. Waayyy) to name a few. Jewelry and electronic stores seems to be the King here with trainers store running a close second. If you're on a budget you're gonna love it here. It's mainly a pedestrian shopping street but buses are allowed and I've seen a few privately owned vehicles pass through as well. It's kept clean and WE can do our part by making use of the many garbage bins provided. I've noticed a lot of "closing down" signs on storefronts and I really hope it isn't another sign of gentrification. I hope they aren't pushing the little ones out for all big chains because I'll have something to say! **Thinking** Tip: walk up one side and walk down the next, don't be a hero (like) me and cross like a mad woman each time you see a store you wanna visit. I get to FSM using the subway. I sometimes get off at the Hoyt street and schemerhorn station but if you want to get to the heart of it, get off at the Jay Street-MetroTech station. Of course I'll be back! The End.

I see something or someone every night who stands near the guard by the entrance, say nothing, but don't know why no one does. I mean he should respectfully change sometime, not outstay his welcome. I try to speak to the guard who pretends to speak another language than English. The fact he did that was not nice, disrespectful and if anything ever were to happen he would be a zero, not act, and we don't need that. The guards all around are good. I don't feel this one would protect us since his character is poor. I really didn't appreciate his poor judgement and he does speak English, I just didn't hear the last thing he said and he would not tell me and said he didn't speak English when we were talking in English. Crazy, as I didn't need that Attitude when I wanted to help. The guy hanging out isn't causing trouble, but he is by the edge of the elevator early at night every night. And obviously the guard is sexist because he isn't giving him the cold shoulder he gave me. One would hope when someone speaks to a guard that they would respond. I happen to have left my purse in the theater, so I went back after all, got it then when I passed him this time at 230am I walked by him as if he didn't exist because he treated me as if I didn't exist and he is there for our safety. That guard is just collecting. He is useless. I don't trust his ability to be helpful. Courtesy goes along way. He knows that man is there, fine, and now you know that guard apparently discriminates and should anything bad truly happen he would act stupid and play dumb again. I'm not playing with my life. If I speak up, I care, so if someone needs help, and they ask him, he probably would have another disturbing reaction.

There are also a number of buses that stop in the vicinity. Walking inside from street level, what you immediately notice is the very tall atrium the extends upward a couple stories to a wide, slightly domed sky light that provides some picturesque streams of light to illuminate the inside of building, depending on the time of day. There are stairs that wind around a column where you can ascend to get a closer view of the ceiling structure, and a birdseye view of the open floors below. Of course as with most NYC subway stations with more than a couple lines criss-crossing, make sure you're reading the signs that direct you to the correct lines headed uptown or downtown. To the uninitiated it can be confusing. As for stores inside, to name a few there's Shake Shack, Chik-fil-A, Dunkin Donuts, Krispy Kreme, Gong Cha, a couple Irish pubs, Gateway Newsstand, a wine/liquor store, a barber shop, Duane Reade, Auntie Annie's Pretzels, a florist. Generally speaking this station is on the cleaner side compared to most.
