I needed a certain set of baking pans of a certain size and I was short and had gotten a couple that were to big for the purpose I needed. Thanksgiving morning, I found what everyone who waits till christmas or thanksgiving finds: shops close. This shop was open and had lots and lots of pans at a great price. I took a walk around the store with new eyes and realized they have all sorts of things that I hope I never need. There were holiday items like christmas globes and lights that would make you have to get your granny an intervention as she purchased them for all of her friends.

Success Trading is a 99 cent store located on Catherine Street, just off of East Broadway. As with…read moremost 99 cent stores in Chinatown, a variety of Chinese-made household goods are offered at great prices. It's a fairly large store with three aisles. Most items are 99 cents with the exception of other items that are clearly marked if higher. Items of note here are stationery, bathroom items, funerary items, detergents, plates and glassware, and a great selection of hardware goods. However, what sets Success Trading out from the other 99 cent stores is that they offer a large selection of tiny button batteries (for watches, toys, digital scales, etc). I have never been to a 99 cent store that sold these and this is the only one I am aware of that has these batteries. For about $1.25, you can get up to 15 of these batteries in a single cardboard sheet. Some places charge up to $5 for a SINGLE battery! That is a real bargain! So in a world with plenty of 99 cent stores to choose from Success Trading has distinguished itself, and that's pretty hard to do in a crowded market!

(While somebody was putting her purchase item and her money on top of the screen, trying to jump me in line, I might add) When I told the cashier I gave her a twenty, she sounded like she was cursing at me and threw the additional change at me. I went here today because it is close to where I live and it was very cold out, but this is it for me. I have had it with these rude people and their rude clients. Make sure you check the expiration dates. I was able to snag some Biscoff cookies the ones you get from the airlines as snacks with beverage that they serve you on the plane. Got a container filled with assortment of Pistachio cookies. They sold these at Costco. Also, got a travel umbrella for my next adventure. Found prices to be reasonable and less costly at TNT Liquidators than if you went to shop at BJ's or Costco. Will be back again to search for more bargains. Happy shopping.
