It's located in Lower Manhattan within the iconic Oculus structure. The Oculus functions as a transit hub that connects PATH trains and 12 NYC Subway lines. Its architecture looks like it has wings and a beautifully integrated light filled space! Some of the stores and restaurants you'll see inside the Oculus include some of the following Dior Uniqlo Banana Republic Apple Bose Eataly NYC Downtown Blue Bottle Coffee and so much more! There are a few different entrances from which you can enter the Westfield World Trade Center. Once you enter the Oculus, you can take an escalate ride down. The mall inside is just stunning! There are also a number of buses that stop in the vicinity. Walking inside from street level, what you immediately notice is the very tall atrium the extends upward a couple stories to a wide, slightly domed sky light that provides some picturesque streams of light to illuminate the inside of building, depending on the time of day. There are stairs that wind around a column where you can ascend to get a closer view of the ceiling structure, and a birdseye view of the open floors below. Of course as with most NYC subway stations with more than a couple lines criss-crossing, make sure you're reading the signs that direct you to the correct lines headed uptown or downtown. To the uninitiated it can be confusing. As for stores inside, to name a few there's Shake Shack, Chik-fil-A, Dunkin Donuts, Krispy Kreme, Gong Cha, a couple Irish pubs, Gateway Newsstand, a wine/liquor store, a barber shop, Duane Reade, Auntie Annie's Pretzels, a florist. Generally speaking this station is on the cleaner side compared to most.

It's a part of New York as much as Grand Terminal or Penn Station is. Oculus gets busy on a daily basis because of all the things I mentioned above. The shops in the Oculus are nice and tend to be on the higher end of a price range. You have a variety of selections from Apple Store to luxury brands. The service at any store is pretty representative of what the Oculus aspires to be; excellence. It's beautiful and bright and at its core, a beacon of hope.

The most interesting store is Uniqlo, and there's a lot of less than desirable establishments. They do have a Sephora, Zara, Macys (seems like it's on the brink of closure), and a decent food court with Panda Express (guilty, I love it). There's also a Cheesecake Factory, but as a fan of the brand this location feels like a let down. The bones of the mall are nice enough, lots of natural light with a Tesla charging station in the parking lot. If you're coming for the Christmas Santa or the Easter Bunny, there's no wait when you book ahead online. I feel like there's enough people living in the surrounding areas to upgrade the mall - give us a Crate & Barrel and Nordstrom and we'd be in business.

There are only three feet across with some stalls while other vendors have a lot of space. The winter hat, cool decor, jewelry are always the top of the shopping list. Check the opening time which is at 11 am on some days and not all stalls are open immediately at 11 am but most of them are. There are always food items too but those areas can get very crowded. I recommend going earlier in December when there is good selection left. The service and welcome of the staff was really good this year. The value and price point is solid with many different type of high and low end items available. Bryant Park may have a little more space for shopping but Union square sometimes has different vendors. The urban spaces organizers do a good job across the space. Enjoy the holiday shopping. One commentary on 2025 visit because we go every year, I saw fewer people in some stalls. I am not sure if there is an economic impact for some people or that there are less international or domestic tourists but there may be some impacts. The Holiday Market here has more booths, a wider variety of small local vendors, and the layout feels more open and spacious not as tight and narrow as Bryant Park. That's not to say Union Square doesn't get crowded (it absolutely does), but the experience still feels more enjoyable and less cramped. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Unfortunately, that's just not how these stores are built, and it's worth it to me to dress up and get treated like the money I'm spending! Great service but I wish I had a more full experience. It could be because of Covid, but you have to ask for samples, you're not offered AND you get no champagne, no nothing. Just pick up and browsing. That's it. I no longer obsess over LV as much as Chanel but I would totally shop here if I wanted to buy another LV. #luggagegoals If I win the lottery, I would buy one of the monogram print suitcases with wheels for over $3200. Actually, that's not that bad considering that some of the bags are over $2000 and you can wheel this one around. Definitely for carry on and not for checking! I would wheel this suitcase around the world.
