The Winter Garden, with its tall palm trees and glass atrium, is especially impressive and creates a bright and relaxing atmosphere even on busy days. What we liked most was that it offers much more than shopping. There are restaurants, cafés, luxury stores, public seating areas, and frequent events and art installations throughout the year. It's also conveniently connected to the Financial District and close to attractions like the World Trade Center area.

There are also a number of buses that stop in the vicinity. Walking inside from street level, what you immediately notice is the very tall atrium the extends upward a couple stories to a wide, slightly domed sky light that provides some picturesque streams of light to illuminate the inside of building, depending on the time of day. There are stairs that wind around a column where you can ascend to get a closer view of the ceiling structure, and a birdseye view of the open floors below. Of course as with most NYC subway stations with more than a couple lines criss-crossing, make sure you're reading the signs that direct you to the correct lines headed uptown or downtown. To the uninitiated it can be confusing. As for stores inside, to name a few there's Shake Shack, Chik-fil-A, Dunkin Donuts, Krispy Kreme, Gong Cha, a couple Irish pubs, Gateway Newsstand, a wine/liquor store, a barber shop, Duane Reade, Auntie Annie's Pretzels, a florist. Generally speaking this station is on the cleaner side compared to most.

The Oculus is a beautiful representation of the New York spirit. It is a shopping center, an…read morearchitectural landmark, a transport hub, and a historic piece honoring NYC. It's a part of New York as much as Grand Terminal or Penn Station is. Oculus gets busy on a daily basis because of all the things I mentioned above. The shops in the Oculus are nice and tend to be on the higher end of a price range. You have a variety of selections from Apple Store to luxury brands. The service at any store is pretty representative of what the Oculus aspires to be; excellence. It's beautiful and bright and at its core, a beacon of hope.

Staff members have done a good job keeping it clean and well maintained. A lot of new and popular brands have opened their store here. It has direct passageway to the Path train station due to which gets a lot of foot traffic. The mall has three floors with top floor having the food court and AMC. The food court has some of the popular chains like Shake Shack, Chic-fil-a, Gong Cha, Panda Express and Sarku. The mall also has a Meet Fresh, Cheesecake Factory, Kura Sushi and Macy's. There are several other apparel, shoes, cosmetic and perfume stores in other two floors. The mall is spacious and open. The parking lots adjacent to the mall are not free. Depending on parking period, the parking cost ranges between $5-$20. We mainly come here when we are in JC and want to stop by Meet Fresh.

Curbed in NYMag actually had a really great article not too long ago that explains how East Broadway Mall became so dilapidated and abandoned, while the mall across the street has had a renaissance of sorts. However, downstairs I hope people will continue to support Fu Zhou Wei Zhong Wei, which sells very tasty dumplings and buns. Worth a stop to support this local business if you're in the area.

It is definitely not worth going into. Looks like they have a basement and an upstairs. Again, I didn't bother exploring the mall. Once I walked inside and realizing how dead the mall was, I walked straight out. Seems like the escalators are broken or maybe they were just turned off. So, I am suspecting upstairs is either not occupied or all the stores are closed. Note that at the entrance of this mall there are people loitering and smoking. I don't recommend coming here.

There are only three feet across with some stalls while other vendors have a lot of space. The winter hat, cool decor, jewelry are always the top of the shopping list. Check the opening time which is at 11 am on some days and not all stalls are open immediately at 11 am but most of them are. There are always food items too but those areas can get very crowded. I recommend going earlier in December when there is good selection left. The service and welcome of the staff was really good this year. The value and price point is solid with many different type of high and low end items available. Bryant Park may have a little more space for shopping but Union square sometimes has different vendors. The urban spaces organizers do a good job across the space. Enjoy the holiday shopping. One commentary on 2025 visit because we go every year, I saw fewer people in some stalls. I am not sure if there is an economic impact for some people or that there are less international or domestic tourists but there may be some impacts. I remember that it has been more packed in the past since I was there on Black Friday which is normally the peak shopping time.

Union Square Holiday Market is one of my favorite places to wander through…read more If I had to choose between Bryant Park and Union Square, I'd pick Union Square every time. The Holiday Market here has more booths, a wider variety of small local vendors, and the layout feels more open and spacious not as tight and narrow as Bryant Park. That's not to say Union Square doesn't get crowded (it absolutely does), but the experience still feels more enjoyable and less cramped. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Had me go in to try the suit and when I don't want to buy from them, he locks the fitting room and told me to use the stores fitting room to change back to my clothes. Seriously? At least let me changed back to my regular clothes. Making claims like he doesn't work for the store so he has no affiliation to let me use it. Then why tell me to get in to try the suit in the first place? Very transactional and unprofessional tailor! Starts arguing with me when I said he has a bad attitude.
