Good experience but nothing to write home about. I enjoyed the Branzino but it wasnt anything insane. Overall good quick casual lunch spot.

This is my second visit after many years, specifically for the Panaderia Rosetta pop-up during Dia de los Muertos. We had brunch - Chilaquiles Verdes and Al Pastor Gringa, both super flavorful. I really liked tortillas! The pastries were also yummy, not too sweet, moist, and flaky. Prices are slightly above average but I guess comparable to other nice restaurants. The space is modern, we sat in the covered patio. Service was friendly but a bit slow. Overall, I'm glad I came back for another visit!

Came here for lunch on a Sunday because it was one of the restaurants that accepted inKind as payment. I really wanted to try their lobster burrito but sadly, that wasn't on their menu anymore. Instead, I tried their Suadero Tacos, Pork Al Pastor Gringa, and Branzino Adobado. The Suadero Tacos were yummy but for $18, I expected at least 3 tacos. It only came with 2. The Pork Al Pastor Gringa was the highlight of the meal. It consisted of deliciously grilled pork belly with pineapple butter over a crispy flour tortilla. The Branzino Adobado was good too, but it wasn't anything special beyond a grilled branzino fillet. Good protein option though! Overall, if it weren't for inKind, I probably wouldn't have come here. It's good but not memorable. Service was very friendly though, which made me bump this up from 3.5 stars to 4.

Would have liked to give this place four stars, but we never even saw our waiter and had to bother one of the bartenders for everything. Everything. From ordering to check. I asked her to point out our waiter so we could stop bothering her, but she graciously took care of us the entire time. So big shoutout to her. Some other cons: the food came out extremely slowly; there's only one single-person bathroom, so the line got 8 people deep at one point; and the portion sizes are pretty small. My boyfriend and I both ordered enchiladas, and they were more like flautas, short, thin, and crispy. The flavor was great, fortunately, especially the sauces served with them. We also had the churros, which were served hot and crispy with dark chocolate. The churros melted in our mouths and were really delicious. Despite the delicious flavor of the food, we will not be returning to this spot due to the neglectful service and poor value per portion.

Met a friend here during my visit to New York. She made reservations on the patio for us week of. Beautiful interior, and it wasn't bad sitting outside. I was running late because my train was actually going the opposite way (*face palm*)... We got the mole and the Pork Al Pastor Gringa. It was my first time trying mole and it was rich and interesting-idk if I really liked it hut it was addicting to keep eating. The Al Pastor Gringa was tasty, and would definitely order again. Was cute, and would definitely visit again. Would love to try some other menu items!

I feel like I came in with middling expectations and was still disappointed. Mixed drinks are $19 and tacos are $9 a pop, so I was hoping that they'd be better than average... but they were not. The Brussels sprout taco with peanut butter was good, but not special. The mole, on the other hand, was flat out bad. It was very bitter and just had a disc of mashed plantain at the bottom of the bowl. Nothing else. The tres leches was good, as was the salsa verde mushroom dish, though it upset my stomach. Oh, and no happy hour. ‍

Atla is a Mexican Restaurant that serves as an All-Day Casual Eatery on Lafayette Street in Lower Manhattan. Atla is in the same area as Kith, Levain Bakery and a host of other places to hang out near SOHO, NOHO and the Village. Atla's cozy and laid-back atmosphere, simple decor and courteous staff made it a nice place for us to partake of a light bite / appetizer before heading to Negril Village for dinner dining. Atla has nice ambience and a cool bar space. Although we had no reservations, the hostess ensured that we were setaed promptly. Fantastic music plays in the background- pop, hip-hop, etc. When was the last time that I heard Deee-Lite's "Groove Is In The Heart"? before hearing it while dining at Atla...I honestly cannot remember-lol. It was great to hear oldies but goodies. We ordered Guacamole & Chips. Atla boasts via their website that they use organic, sustainable & seasonal ingredients to make their dishes. The Guacamole & Chips ($18) is served w/ Brown Chips and then we also ordered extra Corn Chips ($6). Such delicious chunky, filling guacamole full of so much fabulous flavor! I would return for more appetizers and possibly dinner if I am iin the area. Atla Hours of Operation- Everyday from Noon-11pm w/ the exception of Sunday which is from 11am - 5pm. Mushrooms in salsa verde
    Vishnu G.

Good food, but very expensive. I had the chips and salsa to start and the mushrooms in salsa verde as an appetizer, with the rice and corn on the side. The chips tasted fresh and the salsa was spicy and flavorful. The entree was savory and tangy, and I loved the slight smokiness of the rice. At around $50 for the meal after tax and tip, I'm on the fence as to whether I can recommend it, even though everything was very good.

Nice trendy decor. Fun menu. Guacamole and chips were delish. My burrito was good. Can't remember the drinks. Our server was GREAT! It was much too loud inside for me. Not great for catching up with friends over a meal and drinks. I had to strain to hear all night and still probably missed 70% of the conversation. That exhausted me and didn't make for an enjoyable evening.

    Classic margaritas and Cheese Quesadilla
    Tara O.

Modern, airy space with plenty of bar seating as well as tables. The quesadilla with tomatillo salsa was fresh and delicious. Margaritas were perfect, guac was great and topped with cilantro and jalapeños. The brunch burrito was filling and flavorful. Will be returning to try for dinner!

    Branzino
    Luis G.

My fam is Chicano from California and we had low expectations of Mexican food in New York tbh. I knew it was gonna be good when the margaritas were amazing. We happened to be there for happy hour (5-6 daily). We tried all the tacos, the guacamole, the branzino, and the mushrooms in salsa verde. My mom loved the shrimp taco and the branzino was the best I've ever had. Salsa verde was delicious- wish it were served with carne. Def telling my New York friends about this spot. And I'll come back the next time I'm in the city with a taco craving.

Our friends raved about this place and we of course were excited (and a bit skeptical at first) to try it. The concept: no menu + no lights + a few questions = the ultimate cocktail experience. The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates. My drink came as I couldn't possibly imagine. It looked like a Negroni smelled like Oaxaca, with all the smoke simmering up and preparing my sensory experience, leading to the best first sip. Ladies and gentleman, I introduce you to The Devil's Backbone. A perfectly balanced drink I'll never forget, one that is sipped slowly and enjoyed thoroughly. It's sexy, it's smoky it's sipped. Attaboy gave the best mixology experience and we can't wait to be back. Pro tip: be sure to be as vocal as possible, even with ice, so you don't end up with a tiki drink if that's not your vibe.

It adds a layer of character to the place, but what really keeps people coming back is the atmosphere and the drinks. The space is split into two levels: a two lively, sawdust-floored Taprooms downstairs and a more refined Parlor upstairs if you're in the mood for a quieter, cocktail-focused experience.
