When I first met him I had no idea that he was the co-owner of the company. He was extremely nice to me and was very receptive. He wound up setting up an account with my company and began to do business with us. I say this because in my line of business you get a lot of people that can be rough around the edges and tend to not treat sales people very fairly. Anyway, fast forward four years and I wake up to my Air conditioner blowing very lightly with barely any cold air coming out of the vents. I run outside to check on my compressor and notice that the motor and lines are frozen solid. I of course panic and shut the system off. A relative who knows a little bit about HVAC tells me to let the system defrost overnight and contact a professional. I thought of contacting a company that I've used in the past, but the last time they came it was for a heating issue that ran us $1100.00. They had to come 3 times for the same problem and each time they sent a different tech with different diagnosis's and parts that needed replacement. I decided to call Steve and ask him if he knew a reputable company that I could contact. I was under the impression that A & W only handled commercial accounts. Steve told me that he would personally come to my home to take a look. He told me that he would swing by at a given time and I made plans to leave work early to meet him. Sure enough, he was at my front door at the time he said he would be. Now my wife and I are germaphobes and we take off our shoes at the front door and don't allow anyone to walk in our home with shoes. I had to let Steve know that he had to wear booties over his shoes before he came in. It's always a bit uncomfortable to ask people to comply especially when they're there to perform a service. Anyway, Steve had no problem taking off and putting on the booties every time he had to come in and out of the house. That alone was going above and beyond. Steve, wound up checking the entire system and concluded that the system was low on Freon. Possibly due to a leak somewhere. Anyway, he added Freon and added a leak sealer to the system. He spent about 1-1/2 hour and answered all my questions and explained everything that he was doing. He was extremely fair with the price. What was much more valuable to me was his honesty and sincerity. It's hard to find people with integrity nowadays. Will definitely call Steve in the future should I need their service again.

Nightmare of a company. We brought these guys in to help identify which condenser belonging to my…read moreunit and to help troubleshoot it. It took multiple call outs just for them to identify the wrong unit. I helped them power cycle, spent time with them troubleshooting etc. They didn't test scientifically eg with a voltage checker etc. They proceeded to repair the my neighbors units thinking it was mine, and this resulted in them damaging the unit. I was finally able to identify that my condenser unit was in an obscure place with zero help from them. They then proceeded to clean the right unit. Of course they blamed me for telling them the wrong condenser which is a lie and doesn't make sense as that's what we called them in for. This was already a horrible experience for all involved. To make things worse they then decided to bill me for the identification of the unit! Which again, they also admit they didn't do by blaming me for identifying the wrong unit. I said I'd only pay for the cleaning after the hours wasted. When I refused to pay, they sent me to collections. Stay away. They need their license taken away for the safety of us all.

Our point of contact, Daniel, mentioned that they prioritize customers who spend more with them. We spent over $5,000 with the company, yet we felt our concerns were not treated as a priority. Daniel was often unresponsive, and we also had issues with the technicians' work. They installed a new dehumidifier, and we paid as soon as the installation was completed. However, the unit did not work properly for the next two months. On top of that, the company was very difficult to reach and slow to respond. This situation caused us to lose business. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company. If you do decide to use them, I strongly recommend making sure the equipment is working properly before making the final payment and do not speak with Daniel.

He sent a thoroughly professional two-man crew that did not stop working hard for the hours it took to rebuild my wall through sleeve and then install my new AC (and they hauled off the old AC.) Professional, great communicator, trustworthy work. The work wasn't easy, the units were quite heavy but no complaints by the professional and amiable two man team.
