It took multiple call outs just for them to identify the wrong unit. I helped them power cycle, spent time with them troubleshooting etc. They didn't test scientifically eg with a voltage checker etc. They proceeded to repair the my neighbors units thinking it was mine, and this resulted in them damaging the unit. I was finally able to identify that my condenser unit was in an obscure place with zero help from them. They then proceeded to clean the right unit. Of course they blamed me for telling them the wrong condenser which is a lie and doesn't make sense as that's what we called them in for. This was already a horrible experience for all involved. To make things worse they then decided to bill me for the identification of the unit! Which again, they also admit they didn't do by blaming me for identifying the wrong unit. I said I'd only pay for the cleaning after the hours wasted. When I refused to pay, they sent me to collections. Stay away. They need their license taken away for the safety of us all.

My Friedrich air conditioner was not turning on, they had the replacement part in stock, and after calling them on a Monday morning, they were at my place by 10:30 AM on Wednesday. One of the team members called on Wednesday morning to confirm and give a more accurate time on when his technician would arrive. The technician replaced the part quickly, obviously knew what he was doing, and even gave some suggestions on how to extend the cool air into my bedroom from the living room (I only have one unit in the whole apartment). SoHo's reviews were excellent and the service was right on the mark. Spoke to Jon, the owner, who recommended a good replacement unit at a very fair price and in two days the new quiet and energy efficient unit was very professionally installed by two knowledgeable and experienced employees. Other companies wanted an "upfront" fee to check out my old unit but Jon was candid based on its age and manufacturer ( now out business) that it would be throwing good money after bad; especially since replacement parts would be extremely difficult to locate. Jon advised to call anytime for questions, etc on new unit and would quickly return if any adjustment, etc was needed. If another of my older units also passed on I would not hesitate to call Soho for replacement or service. My experience with previous companies is that they talk a good game but send inexperienced service people or ones that look at a broken unit and upsell you after wasted repair fails. Soho is the real deal for an excellent, honest, fair priced company.

At the end of summer I usually call them to have them remove it so I can close the window. Yet this time I was cheap and didn't call them to remove the unit. During the recent snow storm we got major drafts coming in that made it uncomfortably cold. So I called Joe and he had his guys out here in a jiffy to remove the unit.
