Customer service. They don't even acknowledge you when you come into the door. I was standing there for 15 minutes before they asked if I needed help. I Would give zero stars if I could!!! On January 5th I bought 2 sets of Samsung Buds+. When I got home after fully charging the Ear Buds I discovered that the one set had a defective left ear bud. I returned to the store 4 days later on January 9th to exchange them for a working set. When I arrived to the store the person helping me had to call the Manager Val to get an authorization to return the product. At this point the person was told that they could not exchange them. Speaking to the Asst. Manager BOBBY who was completely rude to me and had no intention of satisfying a customers needs. HE was also very condescending in his approach to me that made me very angry. He spoke of another customer that was not happy just prior to me getting there as if the customer was crazy. He might need some training in customer service. His attitude might be a BOBBY Problem not a customer problem. Bobby then proceeded to tell me that I had to contact Samsung because it was a warranty issue. It was not! I was sold a defective product and simply wanted an exchange of goods. After much insisting and getting upset, I called Samsung while in the AT&T store and was told by Samsung that they could not help me and it was AT&T's problem. Even after I spoke to and had Samsung on the phone speaker so Bobby could hear I still was unable to exchange them. I drove to the Samsung store in Paramus (30 min. drive traffic on a Saturday) where they explained to me that Bobby and Val at AT&T should have exchanged it because it was not damaged according to the warranty, it was defective. I was sold non-working piece of equipment. I called back to the Wayne store from the Samsung store and had 2 of their employees try to explain the warranty to BOBBY. While on Speaker I specifically heard Bobby tell the Samsung employee that VAL the manager was not going to take a hit to her store for the restocking fee and this was not their problem. The Samsung employee begged for them to reconsider because I would have to wait 2 weeks for new EAR BUDS. BOBBY then stated to which I heard . He was not concerned that even though I had paid $149.99 for the ear buds I had to wait 2 weeks. His words were what's the big deal. Before the conversation ended. BOBBY told us at the Samsung store "I am done talking about this" and hung up on all 3 of us. The level of customer service is staggering poor at this Corporate store located in the Preakness shopping center, Wayne NJ . If I bought a drill at Home Depot and it did not work I would have gotten an exchange and been out the door in 20 minuets. Instead I now have to wait 2 weeks to use a product that I paid $149.99 for because VAL and BOBBY are more concerned about the bottom line of her store then customer satisfaction. I had been going to the Wayne store for many years. I have spent Thousands upon Thousands of dollars in that store. Unfortunately for them I will never be back to the store to purchase anything. I will look to contact the District manager or cooperate customer service to make sure everyone is aware of BOBBY and VAL My friends and family will hear of this story for as long as it takes me to tell everyone of the way I was treated because of a $57.00 restocking fee. The shadow that the sun casts from my being will never darken the door of this Cooperate AT&T Store again. read more

After having Verizon as our phone carrier we decided to switch over to AT&T . We started the process at a Costco location but had to choose a office so we can send in our old phones so went to the AT&T office in Preakness center, Wayne NJ. We dealt with a woman named Natasha who I think was the sales manager and she convinced us that going directly with their office we would save a lot of money. After being in the store for well over 4 hours we were told by Natashi that ATT would cover any of the outstanding money still owed on our 3 Verizon phones. Unfortunately everything Natashia told us was A big lie and we are being billed by Verizon for over $1600.00 for our old phones. We have tried to call Natasha and she has never returned our calls so we have now had to hire a lawyer to step in. We have since learned of so many other complaints so stay away from this company and especially Natasha because she is a fraud. I would rate this store having no stars and AT&T corporate should close them down. read more

Wish I could have provided less than one star! Worst Customer Service treatment in a long time. Came into store at 6:50pm and waited almost 12 minutes before someone came out from the back storeroom. Another employee had told them we were waiting long before they came out. When the manager and an employee came out, the employee approached us in an awkward manner and after explaining differences between the 14 series of phones. He pulled a basic notebook out and starting reviewing plans and telling us how he can save us money on our plans. It sounded good and told us we can order phone and was not clear when it may be coming. Without any comment or explanation, he drifted away when three young women came into the store who appeared to have been there earlier. He began engaging them and helping them by putting screen protectors on and left us without any explanation or apology. He came back to our table for about 10 seconds and then went back never explaining anything. We reached a point of ridiculousness and basically told him we were leaving. We walked out and will never go back. Went to another store where they explained that shipping phones to us will be in January - not told to us by this store and they focused on our new phone and not a plan as of yet. I will go to the new place and never come back to Preakness! Learned they are not a corporate location any further - I guess this makes a serious difference! Sadly... go elsewhere! read more

Tried calling the store, it took 3 tries before I was able to get through only to get a attitude from the woman who answered the phone. So, I tried to arrange the appointment for another day. Everyone was helpful, especially Julio, who greeted us once we walked in. My husband and I were trying to get a phone which was recently ordered on-line but something went wrong with the order. He asked me to call AT&T (611) because they needed to update my account on an order which was cancelled. Luckily enough, I was able to get through right away. Julio and Manny helped us walk out with a phone which was needed because my hubby decided to be a bit aggressive with his current one. I continuously find myself finding and going to the worst ATT stores ever. I hate ATT and would love to one day switch to a different provider and the main reason I would do it is because of the customer service at the stores. Employees that work at these stores don't care about the customers, constantly making people wait when they don't have to, they take forever and always having issues. This is so stupid how I am standing here and they help two other people that came in after me and my shit is the easiest thing to fix. And they know I was here as they attempted to help and then forgets to keep with what they were doing. And that was the manager, Antonio, that is suppose to help me and left me here standing. I hope I will switch to something else soon...I really wish Apple would just be my cell phone provider for service too if they got into that business. The representatives here are first class. Depending on the time of day you go, the store can get busy, but the reps are always moving quickly to get to the next customer, although not at the sacrifice of their current customer. I wanted to purchase glass for my new iPhone and had to wait a short while. When the rep freed up, he quickly got to us and not only handled the glass, a case but also answered many questions about Digital Life - which is awesome and we signed up on the spot. the team at this store are dedicated to providing first rate service, establishing good relationships and truly care - highly recommended! read more

I wish I could give this location 0 stars. This was the worst retail experience I have ever had with AT&T and in my ENTIRE life. I don't even know where to start. I went in on a Monday to switch the SIM cards out of my cellphone when a sales associate told us it would be impossible because the phone had previously been used on a Sprint account. He didn't even bother looking at the phone or asking if it was unlocked. He just reiterated that it was impossible. He then told me that I was due for a phone upgrade, and he told me verbatim that the only thing I would have to pay in store is tax. Let it be known that I have never purchased an iPhone on my own before. So after I buy the phone, I go home only to find out that you can switch the SIM card out because the phone I originally brought in is unlocked (again, something he NEVER mentioned in store), and I now had to pay 30 monthly payments of $45 each for the phone I just bought--not just tax. Like the guy literally said NOTHING about payments... commission hungry much? I went to return the new iPhone when I found out there was a restocking fee of over $60. Which I would've been more than happy to pay if I was the one who made the mistake, but it was the Sales Rep who was mistaken. On Wednesday, I went back and then spoke with the manager in person and started to explain what happened. The manager then BROUGHT THE SALES REP OVER (WHY?!), and the Sales Rep was now getting so defensive... and the manager then proceeded to question my intelligence by asking me how old I was and then telling me that her children know how to switch out their SIM cards? Like good for you? She was so rude and refused to understand or acknowledge the fact that her associate is the one who made the mistake (when she wasn't even present) and refusing to waive our restocking fee. Terrible management skills for somebody who has been managing the store for 12 years (a fact that she made sure that I knew). Her and the sales rep in question created the most uncomfortable, condescending sales experience I had ever encountered. The manager especially should learn to better approach the situation next time and get better at customer service... I ended up calling corporate and explaining what happened. The corporate team could not believe that manager brought the sales rep over, and they agreed and literally said to us that it was so unprofessional of the manager to bring the rep over. They also said the representative should have been more transparent in his sales approach. They are now refunding the restocking fee. BUYER BEWARE! read more

This was my first time at an AT&T store. It was a Wednesday at 5:00pm. I stopped by after the slightest detour from work to explore my options concerning a compulsory phone upgrade. I carry a pre-paid program flip phone to use for mainly emergencies. I've already used it multiple times for roadside assistance. Antonio, a manager, set me up with a replacement model and took the time to transfer data from the old phone to the new one. The upgrade was done quickly and the phone was provided to me for free. The only thing I had to give was the time to listen to the Direct TV sales pitch. read more

My husband and I recently visited this store to upgrade a flip phone. My husband, who is not very tech savvy, was asking questions in reference to operating his new phone. The sales clerk seemed disinterested and less than helpful in explaining its operations. He did the basics and said he could figure out the rest on his own. . I then decided to purchase a new screen saver for my phone, my mistake. At a 40$ cost the screen saver was already lifting after two days. When I went back to have it reinstalled or replaced the same person just used his fingers to push it back in place. To purchase a new one would cost an additional 8$. After his attempt at reinstalling it I found it was already lifting after a short ride home. My calls to speak with the manger were not returned. It was most certainly not working! The new glass after two days was worse than the old one that my son installed more than a year ago. My visit to this store was, well, less than satisfying. Lesson learned! If there was an option to choose zero stars, I would. I visited this store with my sister and her boyfriend. My sister had had her iPhone for three years and was ready to upgrade. The sales rep who assisted us told us they were only helping one person at a time (my sister was the only one buying a phone) due to social distancing, so her boyfriend and I wandered around the store while we waited. Big mistake. He began by saying she could not pay for the phone up front, and could only do monthly payments and could pay for tax in the store (already weird). He also told us she would get a $300 trade-in reimbursement for her old phone, of which she informed us while he was standing directly in front of her. He then told us she needed to pay an extra $2.99 a month to upgrade her storage in order to transfer her contacts and pictures, which has nothing to do with AT&T and everything to do with Apple. Apparently if we didn't pay this, it would take two hours to transfer everything over to her new phone. We declined the storage upgrade thinking it was a little strange, and decided to just wait for the transfer. Before we left, we asked him what the total balance was, and he informed us that the phone was originally $1099, but with the $300 trade-in, it would be around $800 in total. However, once we got home we were looking over the trade-in paperwork and realized he had only given us $100 for the old phone. Deciding to check the receipts, I soon discovered he had added an additional $30 a month in charges that we had NOT discussed whatsoever. Due to these charges, my sister will now be paying over $1600 for an $1099 phone. This is very unprofessional and sneaky and I can't believe someone would take advantage of a young girl like that. I will be visiting the store as soon as possible and will also be calling corporate. Buyer beware! read more

If I could give you a ZERO, I would-1 Preakness Shopping Center, Wayne, NJ 07470--Terrible customer service, they work on commission which is why the rep, Jennifer Burbano, signed me up for a second phone number and IPad access when I only have one phone and no IPad!! I made three attempts, hoping to get assisted by the store manager, Herber Negron, and to no avail, get my new bill which is $205.18 when my previous bills were $85.77. My original request was to just trade in my Android for an IPhone-keep the exact same service and just pay for the new phone monthly. What I got was a new phone line in addition to my existing one (I only have one phone not two), IPad access, several different insurance protection plans, the list goes on and one. SCAM the public and SHAME ON YOU. I have been able to straighten out my bill an hour and a half later, after speaking with 5 different reps by phone and I will most definitely be writing a letter to AT&T Corporate headquarters. A client of ours was in this store yesterday, 8/6/18 for three hours straight, from 12pm - 3pm, and she walked away without receiving any help. The store managers, Whitney Ruano and Ryan, were disrespectful to our client and were sitting in the back room while our client was waiting to be helped. She had to call customer service while she was waiting in the store and when she gave the phone to one of the managers, Ryan, to talk with customer service, he was very mean to them. I chose this location because of the reviews. The reps here were over the top they exceeded my expectations. We transferred 6 lines from Verizon and we were there 4 hours getting all new phones. Sovira our rep was awesome. The manager Tony (Antonio) was great to deal with as well. They continue to offer assistance as we settle into AT&T. I never had such personal attention with Verizon. I will add that I first called the Little Falls location when initially considering our switchover and basically I was told over the phone that it probably would not be worth it for me to switch to AT&T unless I considered switching my TV as well. So glad I called the 800 # and got a lot of great information. Preakness location just sealed the deal. read more
