The WORST experience ever-- just tried to get a new cell helmet cover for my 14 pro per the 49.99 contract I purchased when I bought my phone two years ago. .. not only did they not stock them- according to the salesperson they only stock covers for the newest phones. ..the rep told me to go to best buy or "better yet" buy a new phone. My $1200 two year old phone is fine. When I voiced my displeasure he added that he wasn't working at the location teo years ago to somehow excuse his flippant attitude. I did call customer service at Verizon and they told me that there were many similar complaints about this location, so avoid at all costs. read more

Wait is terrible- staff very slow. Was not a good value. I could not find my selection by myself and the staff took 22 minutes to get to me.

worst experience ever, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS STORE- its not a corporate store, and they have different rules . Store Employee named Fran should not be customer facing, as she was extremely rude. read more

Not happy with this store. Been here 3 times in a matter of 4 days to take care of a trade-in. The phone number listed just rings, no one ever answers even though they aren't even busy. Wouldn't come back to this store. Many others in the area to go to. read more

Just bought my wife the new IPHONE PRO MAX. Hector "the store manager" helped me get the best deal ever! He helped me maximize my trade in and found me a better plan to serve my needs... in the end I'm getting more and paying less! Totally recommend going to the Verizon store next to Stop and Shop in Pompton Plains! Ask for Hector... he and his team will definitely hook you up! read more

These are the rudest people you will ever have the misfortune to speak with. Do yourself a huge favor and do not go into this store. I hooe Verizon closes them down. It's no wonder that there was not one customer in the store. read more

I pre ordered the iPhone 16 and was told by Vinny I could bring any older phone for the trade in credit. When I went to finish picking up the phone, Vinny then told me it had to be the phone linked to the account. No big deal right? Next Vinny proceeds to transfer my data and tells me I am going to need to pay the tax. No problem. When I get the bill for the "tax" it is $50.00 more than it should be. Vinny tells me this is for the data transfer, which I could have done myself, and Vinny never said to me there was going to be a $50.00 charge. When I questioned that, Vinny raises his voice and tells me take it up with Verizon. I called the store twice the next Monday asking to speak with the Manager. Left a message with Matt and a woman and never received a call back from the Manager. They obviously don't care. read more

This has been my go-to location since it opened. I stand by my initial review 100%. Everyone here is super helpful and they go above and beyond to ensure you get the best deal possible. Their accessories are also quality. I pretty much stopped ordering from Amazon since all their accessories require replacement within a couple months. read more

Second time back and still great service. Jason and Brett couldn't be more helpful. Explained everything in detail and ordered 3 new phones with a better, cheaper payment than we were paying. Highly recommend. read more

So happy I found Paul at Verizon Pompton Plains. Customer service spent a decent amount of time with me on the phone the day before but somethings you need a person for. Paul is my IRL Verizon person! As long as he's there that's now my only go to store. Not only is he a nice guy... he is super knowledgeable. Thanks again Paul. read more

The Verizon Wireless Zone in Pompton Plains is amazing ! while I can get frustrated with Verizon and the lack of perks one gets for being a valued 20 year customer carrying 7 devices ... if you need assistance, recommendations and TOP NOTCH customer service this is the place to go! while all service representatives there are helpful, friendly, courteous, patient and knowledgeable.. Brett goes ABOVE and BEYOND ... he makes sure you understand the products, plans and transactions ... he multitasks while making you feel you are his number one priority... I can not say enough when it comes to providing customer satisfaction... I will continue being a customer as long as Brett is there ! thank you ! read more

I would give negative stars for this store if I could. Went in to get two phones on Friday and the cocky "so called " expert Paul couldn't even upgrade our plan. Had to contact corporate who said our issue couldn't be fixed and we had to wait 24 hours...fast forward 24 hours no response...text the rep again Sunday...nothing...reach out again Monday says I'm off today contact Hector...he knows all about it...call the store...after 3 calls and voicemail and zero response from anyone. I contacted Paul and told him how awful his store is and told him to cancel the phones with his crappy store. Moral of this story...stay away from Paul and Hector and don't bother visiting the store. All my friends and family that used to go are no longer going there. read more

After checking the internet to see the hours of this store I stopped this morning at approximately 8:45am. Upon arrival I saw a worker sitting at the counter working diligently on his tablet. I attempted to enter only to find the door locked. There are no posting of hours on the window or door. Looking inside once more to try and get the workers attention, I found he disappeared into to back room. read more

Verizon Authorized Retailer - Wireless Zone - photo clearly shows hours are from 8am - 8pm - Mobile Phones Near Me - Pompton Plains, New Jersey

I went on a Friday after work. The associate was not knowledgeable about the phone I purchased. It took hours to resolve setting up my new phone. They removed the nice stock screen protector that comes with the phone. So I had to buy one at the store. This cost me money and also time to find the right screen protector. Then they lied to me about the situation, two of the employees to boot. Each had a different story. These are children working there. They clearly rather lie than resolve a situation the right way...which is you give the customer a screen protector that you removed and damaged against the customers will. read more

Had a problem with an iPhone 7, kept searching for service after an update. Brought iPhone to this location. Salesman, name to be released to Verizon corporate if interested, looked at the phone and said all apple iPhones 7 are defective and they no longer try to fix them. He did not even attempt the basic re-boots, later recommended by an Apple technician. He pulled the SIM card and put in another iPhone 7 to help access the account. He further added there are multiple class action suits against Apple for this reason, also not correct. He also said everyone knows that Apple updates on older phones are designed to make them obsolete. He said I need to buy a new phone, and Samsung phones are the only quality ones, Apple technology is outdated. This location doesn't have pricing information on the phones, so he proceeded to show phones based on how much additional they will cost per month. We told him we have the insurance on the phone. He said that it only covers damage, not applicable in this case, again not true. He also said its easier to buy a new phone, than waste hours on the phone with Verizon's customer service. We called Verizon Wireless customer service, and within 25 minutes, they recommended several possible fixes. The result was a new replacement iPhone 7 will be delivered in 2 days at no cost. Don't judge Verizon based on this occurrence, but as always and in this location especially, buyer beware! read more

This review is all about the OUTSTANDING customer service we received from Bret! My son broke his phone and needed a new one. Not only did Bret take the time to find us a deal in a new one, but when he saw that the phone wouldn't arrive for week, he gave my son a temporary one to use so that he wouldn't be without a phone for all that time! This gentleman truly cares about the customers! read more

Customers, please be aware of your RETURN POLICY. I returned 2 weeks to the day of my purchase of a defective phone from this location. I attempted to trade in for a similar model or an upgrade if necessary. One of their salesmen concluded that there was nothing he could do for me because my return receipt had expired. I had 14 days to return the product, and last time I checked, this was my 14th day. After consulting with "his boss", he insisted that my return was "too late"...that this was my 15th day. That made no sense to me because it was 2 weeks to the day I was last in that store !!! He said that he "felt bad" but I was too late. If I wanted to purchase another phone it would be around $250.00. Needless to say, I left the store feeling angry, frustrated, and perplexed....How could this be my "15th day" ??? Something was not making sense.....So I called the Verizon Customer Service (Corporate). I explained my situation to a (very) helpful representative. He told me that not only was I safely within the return policy (of 14 days). furthermore, the return policy doesn't START until the day AFTER purchase !! The rep suggested I turn around and go right back to the store and "enlighten" the salesman and manager of the CORRECT return policy, and if there is any disagreement, they were to call the corporate line. When I returned, the manager was STILL reluctant to concede his misinformation about his store's return policy. So HE called the corporate number, and they informed him of the correct policy. As a result, I was able to trade in that defective phone for a better model that works very well. So beware people, of shady business practices ! One would think a salesman and/or manager would know their purchase policies. If something "smells fishy", don't hesitate to call the Verizon Corporate Customer Service line to sort everything out. I'm glad I did. Maybe this Verizon store made an honest mistake. But then again, maybe they didn't. Good luck !! read more

All stores are nice to you when you are buying something. The great ones are nice to you when you have a problem. I have previously sworn off other Verizon locations because of their shifty staff just trying to upsell you to pad their commission and their unwillingness to be helpful when you have an issue. This location not only fixed the issue I had but did so without charging me any extra fees even when I was being extra pocky. Fast, courteous, and professional staff. I will only ever use this location for all my cellular needs. read more
