This store is awful! The manager will pretend to be helpful but will not follow through with his promises and the owner is completely absent. I would frankly give them half a star if at all possible. The girl who helped me took 4 tries to get my information into the system and then told me I would have to pay more than 1/2 the cost of the phone up front-- she then directed me to 5 yr out of date prepaid phones. Come to find out she had signed me up for service without my signing a contract and without my express permission . Yesterday I got a bill for $112 for a phone that I did not buy and service I did not have because of said outrageous deposit for a $700 dollar phone. I have been arguing with them for 2 days to get this money off of my account and they only removed it when I threatened them with FCC and Better Business Bureau complaints and a lawyer. I am at the point where I am even thinking of switching my prepaid company to Net10 even though their plans are more expensive because you can get phones that will work off of Verizon or T Mobile towers rather than the ATT Towers used by Straight Talk even though I have used Straight Talk for several years and love their service since I would rather pay more than give 1 more dime to ATT. The level of service at this store is horrible I will never purchase an ATT phone again -- and frankly what they did was illegal. Billing people for services they have no received or signed a contract to receive is against the law. I was away from home and needed a new phone This store was my only option. First they had no wifi and could not transfer my data for me. They assured me it was easy but if I had any issues to just call and they would walk me through it. I had a problem so I called. The man I spoke with was extremely rude and told me to go to another store that had wifi. Steer clear of this store. read more

I had an associate help me today who had extremely bad breath and did not clearly explain to my husband and me how to file an insurance claim with the company so that I could receive a new phone. After receiving the first set of instructions, my husband called from home but got nowhere with the insurance people. We found out two hours later that we needed to go through the whole process again and that it was easier for my husband to come to the store and file the claim from there. During the day I had to come to the store a total of three times for the same issue. We could have saved many hours of stress if I had only been communicated with clearly during my first visit to the store. read more

In my experience, AT&T is generally an awful company to deal with. This store supports this image in some examples I've had, and has helped the problem in others. On 2/27/16 my wife went to this local branch to upgrade her phone, and was helped ("helped" may be a liberal word) by one Shadi Battah. We later found that Mr. Battah acted on par with the cliche of a used car salesman - failed to provide a receipt detailing what the $133 charges were for (perhaps to obscure the fact that AT&T grossly overcharges for accessories compared to other retailers), and also up-sold the insurance policy on the phone to include an array of features that are already provided for free by Apple (e.g. - the lost my iphone feature, cloud storage, automatic backups, etc.). After spending nearly an hour (and a very, very frustrating hour at that) dealing with AT&T customer service (online and via phone), I was finally able to connect with a manager at this local store, Miranda. Miranda was able to help, and emailed me a copy of the receipt within minutes. If only all the AT&T employees could be like Miranda. The rest of them, they can be quite unprofessional and tend to spend more time apologizing and trying to act sympathetic, rather than actually doing the modicum of work needed to fix a situation. read more

I am writing after multiple problems with AT&T's international services for my iPhone, which I bought in Montpelier. My worst customer experiences as a middle class American who travels domestically a lot has ATT International services. Every time I go outside the country, including 24 hour holidays to Canada, requires a call from me to straighten out the charges. In this instance (for a trip to France in late Feb 2014) ATT charged me for two data plans -- a $60 300 mgbyte plan and a $120 800 mgbyte plan, plus $30 for going over my 300 mybyte plan. (The dedicated but under-trained operator said I used 304 mbytes but the hard copy bill appears to say I used 327 mbytes). The bill had to be adjusted and then re-adjusted. For a 24 hour trip to Montreal I was charged over $120, which they largely reversed. Regular international travelers either know from experience their usage pattern and learn what packages to buy, or their corporate travel departments take care of it, but I feel that ATT throws me under the train every time I go outside the country, which is about twice a year, and never with the same routine so my learning experience is weak. I have guessed that my usage pattern comes to about 50 mbytes of data a day -- that is the key variable for me. ATT provided zero help to me in discerning this. Of course, everyone has a different usage pattern, but I expect there are common types. ATT could very easily provide a reference guide for the infrequent traveler, or even a frequent traveler going to unusual locales, through a matrix of scenarios that will help the traveler make a reasonable choice of options. Perish the thought that it might send unprompted messages about usage in transit. And it could at the very least put in controls into its customer charge system to prevent blatantly duplicate charges (that still need a half hour for its operators to understand). I told, respectfully, the operator that if rental car agencies were as customer unfriendly as ATT International, I'd be spending over a half hour every time a checked in a car to make sure the charges were correct. read more

Be very, very careful when you go to this store. Otherwise, you'll walk out with a ton of extra features you didn't want and all kinds of errors which will take you hours to sort out. I can't begin to detail the aggravation I've experienced with "friendly" salespeople who turn out to pull all kinds of stunts - including adding a line to my account which I don't have and for which I'm being billed! Think of the shadiest used-car salesman you can imagine and you get an idea of this outfit. read more
