I recently changed service over to Verizon and, in the process of doing so, I lost ALL of my visual voicemails! I had dozens of old, very sentimental and important messages and they are all - devastatingly - now gone forever. Before porting my old number over to Verizon, I asked the Verizon rep at this location numerous times whether ALL of the information and data - including voicemail - would transfer over to my new device and was reassured repeatedly by him that everything would transfer over and that there was no need to back up or save any information from my phone. I kept the same iPhone which he used as rationale for not needing to save any info. Unfortunately, I have since learned, that rep was entirely incorrect. After numerous conversions this week with my previous carrier, and calls with Verizon customer service, I've discovered that, in fact, voicemails never transfer over to the new carrier and are inevitably lost when you port a number from a different carrier. Bottom line: he Verizon rep should have know this. And because he didn't I lost years of irreplaceable voicemails which I would have saved or uploaded or backed up had I had any idea that this would have occurred. The Verizon rep was friendly and helpful at the time I was in the store, but honestly this enormous oversight is reason enough for me not to recommend this store to anyone. read more

I got an email from a store employee (Christian) telling me that I was eligible for a free upgrade for 2 phones and 2 tablets for me and my wife. I upgraded all four items, paying just the sales tax. When I got home, Verizon sent me my future bill, which included a $40 upgrade fee on each tablet and $30 for each phone, a total of $140. I called Christian, who assured me that the fees could be waived, but I had to wait until the bill actually became due. I believed him, not realizing that this would put me past the 14 day period where I could cancel the sales. When the bill became due, I found out that none of the upgrade fees could be waived. So Christian cost me $140. He lied to me twice - once telling me there were no upgrade fees, and twice when he told me to wait and they would be waived. I would advise customers to steer clear of this place! Addendum: I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and a Verizon rep contacted me and credited the $140 to my account. She said the store manager should have been able to do that for me (but he didn't). She also said that Verizon would be contacting the manager and sales employee for "retraining" on how they should have handled my situation. read more

This is by far the worst Verizon store I have ever had the unfortunate chance to visit. You feel slimey and need a shower from the used car sales man types. The complete lack of accountability for service or user friendliness is unreal. I understand they have the upper hand because they are providing a service that the customer needs but I will hold until the end of time to get a good customer service rep on the phone via Verizon corporate verses these Yahoo!'s. Every time I have had to utilize this store I have left feeling taken advantage of. My friends, employees and family tell the same story. I bought a Motorola edge phone at the store back in late October of 2020, the phone had technical problems and died. Verizon cellular was great to replace the phone overnight, however the $50 screen protector that I had to buy that is a liquid application would not be warrantied by that store, therefore I was screwed out of $50. When I went to the store to talk to them directly, they would have nothing to do with it. All they were interested in was selling you a product and that is it. Very poor service, would not recommend this particular Cellular store to anyone. If you're looking for a Verizon phone, go somewhere else besides route 302 in Berlin. read more

This had to be the worst experience I've ever had in a Verizon store. The salesman (Sam) was shady from the moment I sat down. Everything from a great deal on a tablet that he never informed me I needed to add an extra line to my account for, but I called him on it and told him I didnt want it. Then sold me a screen protector that didnt completely fit my phone and when I went to return it they said it wasn't returnable. Once again robbed by cellphone companies. The only reason I switched from ATT to Verizon was for better coverage locally. That is ALL that I have gotten from Verizon. The service I have had has been mediocre, at best. I recently received an overage fee from when I switched to unlimited data because somehow my roll disappeared. The AT&T store across the the road has much better service and they appear to actually care. read more

Imagine a used car lot in a bad movie. Multiply that by three. That is this place. Easy to spend several hundred bucks on a phone and then be given the run-around when it is time to be treated like your money means something. Salesman started smooth talking why he wasn't going to back the product he sold us, I got mad at being treated like a stupid child and he told me to leave. Find yourself another option if you can. I know it is hard here in Vermont. Everything is far apart. But do yourself the favor. Suddenly today My android phone had an odd message on it and wouldn't work. I stopped at the Verizon store on the B/M Road in Berlin, hoping for a quick fix. Luke told me the phone could not be repaired and that leaving it in a cold car had allowed moisture in and that was the cause. I am still not sure I believe him, but he assured me I would lose everything soon if I didn't get a new phone. The insurance had a $200 deductible for a refurbished phone. I felt I had no choice. I left my phone with him and came back after work. The whole deal cost me almost $175 ( You pay 6% sales tax for the $600 phone), plus $20 a month until my contract runs out in November. OUCH!!!! However, Luke was helpful and patient while I asked myriad questions about how to use this new phone. He assured me I was less stupid than many customers. (my words). When I whined about the $20 and the $30 upgrade fee he suggested I call customer service. I did and they waived the $30. I like the new phone and think it is easier to use than my old one. Alas, I will miss my cool case. HOWEVER, A PHONE SHOULD LAST AS LEAST AS LONG AS THE CONTRACT!!! I would recommend Luke. I will go to him again if I need any help. read more

Recently went into this Verizon (Berlin Vt) to purchase jetpacks for internet as we do not have conventional internet options where we live. We were then told we could get a better deal of we traded our phones in so reluctantly I agreed. I was given a Motorola Edge plus as a trade in option and against my better judgement (having had a Motorola before) I agree to trade my Note 10. Fast forward a few days my phone is losing charge, dropping calls, can't dial out, the sound echos, and my internet freezes. Our jet packs (bought three only took one home at the time) also do not work properly at our house. They constantly refresh or won't connect with full bars. I called and spoke with Spencer who said he would be happy to trade it for another Motorola because maybe I had a defective phone. He asked for us to come in which isn't a problem however I told him with out schedules it's hard for us to find a time to do so which seemed to be no problem. Fast forward to yesterday I called to speak with them about canceling the other two jet packs as they do not work well enough at our house as well as possibly trying a new Motorola phone or trading it in ( I was even willing to pay back the money they paid my note off with). I spoke with a jordan who said that because it's a quality issue not a satisfactory issue the 14 days to return these did not apply but we now have 30 days since it's a matter of product quality. So we then said we could come in tomorrow... So we just left there after having a horrible experience with the "manager" I believe his name was Ryan Quioion. This "manager" accused me of lying about the reason I wanted to trade my phone (even though as I stated above I was willing to pay the difference) and was blatantly disrespectful and kept saying " just be honest with me you just want to go back to a note you don't have to lie" Then he finally said it was ok that I paid the fee to trade to another phone but he had to go check out back for a second and came back and said that was no longer an option and that his associate who told me I had 30 days to trade this new phone if it was quality related was lying. I then asked to speak with his manager or the owner of this Verizon store which he then refused to provide me with any information I assume because any owner of a business would not be ok with their staff treating customers with pure disrespect or acting as such a pompous ass because he is "the manager of a verizon store" We switched from ATT hoping we would have better customer service especially from a store manager and we are very dissatisfied and contemplating going back go ATT. read more

It's hard to decide whether this store is full of dishonest people or just incompetent ones. I get a different story--and I use the word "story" advisedly--every time I call or go into the store. It doesn't matter whether I'm asking about service, phones, my bill, when the reps don't know, and that is most of the time, they just make stuff up. As far as I can tell they never work very many days in a row, so you can't get two of them talking together to agree on a story. I have been overcharged: almost twice what the saleman told me per month. I have had mysterious charges added (and then sometimes subtracted) from my bill, all without explanation. The worst is that if you go to this place with questions about your bill, they can't help you. They just call the 800 number to Verizon. This is Cellular Sales idea of customer service. I would give it a minus 1 star if I could. I paid 40 for activation of my phone and they did not transfer my information and did not activate. I had to call Verizon. So on top of the Verizon 20 dollar activation fee, I had their 40 dollar non refundable fee for activation and transferring for nothing. My sales representative was rude and impatient and when I complain and asked for a refund for them doing nothing the rep and others stated I was taking their commission. I have 5 lines with Verizon for myself and my children and went in to purchase a new phone. The agent, Morgan, misrepresented what was included with a new phone purchase and when I went in to pick up the phone, and I asked for clarification, I was passed to another agent, and then the manager said he would have her call me. No call came for 2 weeks. I contacted them again asking for a manager's email, and was told that that could not be given out. I did receive a call tonight asking if I wanted money off on a tablet or a % off on a case, neither of which I need. The fact remains that the agents should not be allowed to promise something and then say it never happened. Another friend was sold a LG S5 phone for $500 (retailing on Amazon at $250) when the newer LG S6 was available for the same price. I have to say that I did not have the best experience in upgrading to a new phone at this location. I ended up going to the store 5 times (wish I was exaggerating) to get my new phone that needed to be ordered, crashed, needed a new phone ordered, etc. Out of the 5 different sales representatives I met, only a few were less than helpful. Sad to say I actually was brought to tears in store from being so frustrated! Costumer service these days is more about the sales rep then the customer. HOWEVER.....I have to give credit where credit is due. On my 5th trip in to the store I dealt with two sales reps who were very professional, attentive and saw to it that my needs were met. I never ended up getting the exact phone that I wanted but with their help I got a phone that meets my needs and satisfaction. If you choose this store to do business your going to want to deal with Jason Parent or Josh Fadden! They are quick, efficient, know their products and we're able to be more helpful in an hour than all my other transactions combined. Kudos to you guys for helping out a very desperate and exhausted nurse FINALLY get a phone she deserved! read more

My husband purchased a smartphone from Cellular Sales of Vermont (a Verizon agent) located at 1270 Shelburne Road South in Burlington Vermont. We were told that the smart phone was on "back-order.' The initial sales representative was very professional and knowledgeable. She went to great lengths to assist my husband in making his choice for a smartphone. When we returned to pick up the new phone, we encountered a very rude and unprofessional sales individual. He told my husband that unless he purchased a case at this location, he would be required to pay a fee to have his existing phone numbers transferred to the newly purchased device. When my husband mentioned that he had seen smartphone cases advertised by a large reputable online retailer for less money, the sales agent stated that most of those smartphone cases are stolen. Given this person's rude behavior, demand that we pay extra fees and the sales agent's potentially libelous statement concerning an online retailer, we cancelled the order. Good thing we did as we were able to immediately purchase a smartphone at the Verizon location on Williston Road. Note: We have since learned that the Shelburne Road location is not an actual Verizon corporate outlet, but rather an agent for Verizon. The folks at Verizon on Williston Road were great, no extra fees, no hassle and a lot of goodwill. We will go back to them for our future business read more
