Why does it seem like every time I go there the store is empty?…read more This store is clean and well organized, but usually has just one check out person and one other person roaming the store restocking the shelves. Do your feet hurt? Sit in the furniture department and stay awhile! The staff will NOT rush you out of the store. They love to see customers hanging out in the furniture department having long and nonsensical conversations about nothing... Feeling tired? Take a nap on the display beds... JUST KIDDING...but the staff are pretty cool and laid back, so if you wanna stay awhile and doddle, it's okay, doddle away! I love the chain and the great deals they have, but I hope the lack of foot traffic doesn't prove fatal. Everyone seems to be flocking to the other big conglomerates, but I'll just stick with my BigLots. I love it there.

The prices have remained lower than most competitors. Many old favorites as well. Yes, the staff at this location and others are very friendly. Always willing to help or have a nice brief conversation. If you are a regular the greetings are even better. I am very anxious for the newly renovated store in Berlin to open. Can't be soon enough! A store worthy of supporting and if you shop here before hitting the other local big markets you will save.

If I could give Berlin's location a negative star, I would…read more This is the third time I've been harassed by employees with their little handheld devices by the door. I am not stealing from your store, in fact I probably spend anywhere from $800-$1,000/month at your store. To be charged at in front of other customers and accused of not ringing in products that are clearly on my receipt is not only embarrassing but just degrading. I don't appreciate it and especially in front of my daughter who is Autistic and nonverbal. I know this review will fall on deaf ears but if I didn't have to go to Walmart in Berlin due to it being one of the only options in the area, I would not be a customer.

I am a home delivery person and very rarely visit the store. Home delivery, while much, much better…read morethan showing up in person via GMT bus (no longer drive), it has many, many problems in the year and a half I have been with them. Get used to a highly repetitive diet. Bakery is overly sweet. Food overall is a little pricier. No real sales as with the high-low supermarkets. Most of the fresh fruit is inedible. Just try ripening a peach and compare it to the succulent beauties at Shaw's! Despite my highly repetitive diet, they are chronically out of stock on one thing or another. They use an unnamed 3rd party delivery service, and they are literally (nickel and) diming me to death with all the single foods getting its own bag! This added 10 cents each to my cereal and to my frozen pops for getting their own bags. The Vermont bag fee is about reducing bags by charging 10 cents to DISCOURAGE USE OF BAGS ON SINGLE ITEMS. The delivery service either does not know this or does not care.

I purchased items on my Kohl's card on 11/29/24 in the Berlin VT store. I was going to Kohls at…read moreanother location a few days later, so I decided to check my account online. The purchase I made had gone through with a DUPLICATE purchase for the same date pending. Considering I had just made a payment and should have had enough credit to use that day, this was incorrect. I immediately called Kohl's customer service. The first person I spoke to looked at my account, and said yes they charged you twice for the same thing. I said I wanted it reversed immediately, it was affecting my available credit. He said he couldn't do that and transferred me to another dept. The woman I spoke to there told me that it would take 4 days to drop off. It is STILL showing pending. I told her I have had this problem with this store 2x last year. At that time I was told by YOUR customer service, it was the store. That they are hitting something when cashing me out that rings up twice, even though it only shows up once on the receipt. I had a problem then too, had to wait, but at least they made an effort to reverse it. I am being told there is nothing they can do and this is normal when a charge goes through, that sometimes it can charge twice , one pending until the original charge goes through. And then the second one will drop off. What kind of logic is that? I called again yesterday. Got the same thing. They are not reversing it. They are doing nothing. This is their ERROR, whether in the store or customer service. They don't care, and are NOT taking responsibility for this. I am extremely dissatisfied that the DOUBLE charge is still there. I did shop at another Kohl's the day I checked my account. I didn't use my Kohl's card. I have been a customer for years, and honestly think we all deserve better. When I called this should have been corrected immediately. The fact that this has ONLY happened at the Berlin store, is a question too. I would like the duplicate charge off my card IMMEDIATELY!!! This is seriously make me rethink shopping at Kohl's. Just to wrap up here, I just tried again....Was told the same exact thing. That there is nothing they can do. There is only 1 charge, and they have to wait for the pending to drop off. In the meantime it's affecting my available credit. Wow! Great customer service NOT!!!

I walked in the door and wasn't greeted. Then my white boyfriend walked through the door and I…read moreheard "hello". So I tried not to think negatively, but couldn't help it. I have gone in before to look at the pretty Dansko shoes which are my favorite. The first time I went in sometime in 2017, I was sort of "followed" around the store and asked if there was anything I could be helped with. So I bought a shawl for $25. Which I love. But the next time I went in to look at boots and shoes, I wasn't greeted so I just looked around. The third time I went in I decided that I needed the Artic Muck Boots, so I paid the $145 to have them. When I went to the counter to pay, I asked about any sales on the Dansko shoes. I was told that in the Spring they will have a trunk show. Then I was asked by the cashier in a very snide and condescending tone "Do you know what a trunk show is???" I replied , "Yes" and then she said, "Well I don't know when it is, but it's sometime in the Spring." So for the attitude, the judgement, and the air of snoodiness, I am giving this place a 1 star review. All customers are important, and assumptions shouldn't be made about the status of a customer based on skin tones. I have been in the customer service industry for years and know that all customers pay the salaries of those who work behind and in front of the counter, and respect should be given to all. When I bought the boots the young girl, of about 17 was semi helpful, but she looked scared to interact with customers. She cracked a smile by the end of the sale because I had mentioned that I was afraid of offending her with my potentially stinky feet. LOL. However, I went with the boots, although not flashy, but definitely protective and worth the price. But I will not be back and will advise all of my friends to shop online on Macy's, Amazon, Ebay, or in New Hampshire. That way you'll be treated fairly and won't have to worry about feeling comfortable in the store and will be treated equally. End of review!

No one would help me. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give their customer service a 0. Thanks for nothing Lenny's. I won't be back.
