Their webpage had only one option for suspension, and no option for cancellation other than to call a service number. I called that number, and 7 other numbers suggested by various reps without any resolution. Either they put me on hold or bounced me between their business support and consumer support. They were asking for phone numbers, account numbers, and all kinds of information, and at the end, they responded that they cannot handle it and referred me to different numbers - some were trying to help, and many were no help at all with a heavy accent. T I was so furious with AT&T service representatives after 3 hours, and decided to stop by the nearest AT&T store, at the H-Mart shopping mall in Cupertino. Kiely (?) helped me out after my desperate ranting; she was very professional, calm, and knew exactly what she was doing, and she was able to resolve my problem in like 6 minutes! I was so relieved. I could not imagine how 7-8 service/technical representatives could not handle what she was able to do in 6 minutes! Kiely was wonderful, and I am very thankful for her knowledge and understanding. Next time I need anything with AT&T, I'll run this place without hesitation. This store is at a convenient location with plenty of parking spaces, and I will not hesitate to recommend it to all my friends.

With work at an on-site lab with co-workers coming in from overseas to assist, not having my phone was kind of a nightmare. When I finally got my new iPhone, I started restoring it from the most recent iCloud backup. What I didn't realize was you need your old iPhone to transfer the eSIM card and carrier settings to a new iPhone. That information does not get backed up on iCloud. So I had to find a Verizon store to get my line activated on the new phone. I didn't know there was a store on El Camino just south of Bowers/Kiely in Santa Clara. It's nestled inside a dense strip mall. Once I walked inside, there were two groups of customers being helped to the left and right, seated across from store reps. I waited in front of them until the rep on my left acknowledged me and said they would help me next. It took about five minutes, but no issues there. Seemed pretty standard. A 3rd rep came in to assist me and we began the process of loading up my account info with an email verification link. Even though my iPhone had no cellular service, the store guest WiFi allowed me to receive the verification email. The rep used my iPhone's IMEI number found under "General/About" to send the eSIM to my phone from his carrier side tablet. After about a minute or two, the eSIM came online and cellular service was restored! I thanked the rep and left. When I woke up this morning, I saw an unexpected email notification that had apparently been sent while I was in-store. Something about "Device Protection" being added, which was not something that the rep discussed with me while I was in-store and I had definitely not requested. I logged into the Verizon app to confirm that an $18 per month charge had been added to my line without being mentioned by the rep. That's the type of thing if left unchecked would cost you hundreds of dollars over god knows how long before being discovered. I wouldn't have even known if I hadn't seen that email. Whether that feature was added by default to a new eSIM activation or manually added by the rep, I don't know. After visiting stores like this, I advise logging into your account and make sure no unrequested services have been added to your account because those charges really add up over time. One extra star for helping me activate my phone, however I was really disappointed to see a deceptive $18 per month device protection added without my consent or any discussion while in-store.

I am not posting this out of anger or revenge, but to warn other customers and to keep a public record of what occurred. REFUND ISSUE - $109 IMPROPERLY WITHHELD On December 22, I requested a refund of $109, which remained in "pending refund" status for approximately 10 days. I contacted PayPal multiple times, and they confirmed on two separate occasions that: * The refund was NEVER released by the merchant * After remaining "pending" for 10 days, the transaction was changed to "canceled" * This was not a delay, it was a merchant-canceled refund UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, AND INTIMIDATING STAFF I went to the store multiple times and was assisted by: * Mariana - Store Supervisor * Maria - Sales Associate * Fatima - Sales Associate All three displayed unprofessional, rude, and intimidating behavior, including: * Laughing during a serious refund dispute * Mocking behavior, staring, and dismissive attitudes * Repeatedly telling me to "wait" * Using the holidays as an excuse * Attempting to confuse the situation even while I showed clear PayPal proof that the refund was CANCELED At one point, supervisor Mariana admitted that sales associates often do not properly explain costs or so-called "promotions" from the beginning, and said she would speak with them. Despite this, Maria and Fatima continued behaving in a rude and mocking manner, even though the issue was not directly caused by them. REFUSAL TO PROVIDE OWNER INFORMATION Mariana stated she would speak with the store owner, but refused to provide the owner's contact information when I requested it. THREATS AND INTIMIDATION When I clearly stated that I would not remain silent until my refund was returned, supervisor Mariana threatened to sue me: * For recording part of the interaction * For a Facebook post I had made (which she admitted she had already seen) These threats occurred while I was requesting a legitimate refund and constitute intimidation, not customer service. METRO CORPORATE WITNESSED THE BEHAVIOR During this interaction, a Metro PCS customer service representative (611) was on the phone listening to the entire conversation. The representative: * Confirmed the call was being recorded * Clearly heard the supervisor's rude and intimidating behavior * Apologized * Stated that formal reports for store misconduct would be filed IRREGULAR CASH REFUND - NO RECEIPT Minutes after I left the store, the supervisor called me claiming there had been a "cash drawer error" and said my refund would be issued in cash. When I returned: * I was given cash only * No receipt * No confirmation * No written documentation * Supervisor Mariana handed the cash to the associate, who gave it to me * Mariana ignored me completely and offered no apology or explanation Issuing a cash refund without documentation--especially after canceling a refund in the system--is highly irregular and concerning. PAYMENT AND REPORTING DISCREPANCIES The Metro representative also informed me that their system reflected only a partial cash payment, despite the fact that I paid a much larger amount using my PayPal card. I have receipts and proof. This raises serious concerns about how payments and refunds are being recorded at this location. "FREE" ACCESSORIES QUIETLY CHARGED Another deceptive practice I experienced is that when staff say accessories are being "given for free," they are actually charged in a misleading way. In my case, accessories verbally presented as "free" were quietly charged by splitting the total into two separate receipts, making it less obvious that the items were not free. Unless customers carefully review every receipt line by line, these charges can easily go unnoticed. ACCOUNT CREATED WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION Another major red flag: When I installed the Metro app, I discovered that an account had already been created using an email address that was NOT mine. * I was never asked for my email * I did not request an account to be created * I have screenshots proving this * I immediately changed the email to my own After sharing this experience in a local moms' group, other customers reported similar issues, including: * Accounts created or modified without consent * Services added without authorization * Extra charges appearing unexpectedly This suggests a pattern of improper account handling, not an isolated incident. Screen Card So, long…read morestory short, I broke the screen on my Samsung S23 Ultra at the gym to the point that it was completely unusable. Once I got home, I put in a claim with my phone insurance through my provider (Xfinity Mobile), and they gave me an option to replace the phone for $99 or to get it fixed for free. Now, I've heard replacement screens can be not as good as the originals, but on the other hand, "free" just happens to be my favorite price--so I took a chance and put in for the repair. This Batteries Plus (B+) was the closest official repair shop in my area, so once I put in my claim, they sent me a link to schedule my appointment, and away I went. The Good: * Tons of appointment times available, and they were totally fine with me moving it up once my schedule cleared up. * Street and lot parking * Fantastic customer service by the three different gentlemen (sorry, I didn't get names). They were fast, reliable, and polite. I was in and out with the drop-off in less than 5 minutes. * Not only are they polite, but they're super fast and they had the parts in stock. They quoted me 1.5 hours, but it was done in less than one! * The screen seems as good as the original, and they claim they use only factory original Samsung parts for the repair. The Meh: * The website to make the claim kept wanting to send text message verifications. Well, if I'm putting in a phone claim then why would you assume I have access to it???? 0_o Not B+'s fault but just needed to vent that.
