Screen Card So, long story short, I broke the screen on my Samsung S23 Ultra at the gym to the point that it was completely unusable. Once I got home, I put in a claim with my phone insurance through my provider (Xfinity Mobile), and they gave me an option to replace the phone for $99 or to get it fixed for free. Now, I've heard replacement screens can be not as good as the originals, but on the other hand, "free" just happens to be my favorite price--so I took a chance and put in for the repair. This Batteries Plus (B+) was the closest official repair shop in my area, so once I put in my claim, they sent me a link to schedule my appointment, and away I went. The Good: * Tons of appointment times available, and they were totally fine with me moving it up once my schedule cleared up. * Street and lot parking * Fantastic customer service by the three different gentlemen (sorry, I didn't get names). They were fast, reliable, and polite. I was in and out with the drop-off in less than 5 minutes. * Not only are they polite, but they're super fast and they had the parts in stock. They quoted me 1.5 hours, but it was done in less than one! * The screen seems as good as the original, and they claim they use only factory original Samsung parts for the repair. The Meh: * The website to make the claim kept wanting to send text message verifications. Well, if I'm putting in a phone claim then why would you assume I have access to it???? 0_o Not B+'s fault but just needed to vent that. The Ugly: * Breaking your phone is just the worst. -_- Conclusion: Don't be an idiot like me and break your phone, but if you do B+ is here for you! read more

Freddie is the man. Came in with very minimal knowledge of what I needed for my truck, was dealing with battery issues and his knowledge and guidance solved my issues immediately. He got me the correct products within minutes after trying for a year to get it right with other places. I'll add that if you think you know what you're talking about as a customer, please listen to the employees advice because they really know what they are talking about, especially Freddie. If you've had issues with this place it's definitely a customer issue and not anything to do with the service or competence of this place as they really have it together here. Thank you!!!! read more

Came by the other day to drop off some fluorescents. The drop off process was easy with street parking available. The uniformed staff ensured that I was in and out within minutes! They also recycle batteries and CFL bulbs too! The store has plenty of unique batteries and bulbs for sale! read more

Updating this initial review after the business took my negative review down. Updated review: 1/5 stars I shared my email address with this company, I made sure the "send me spam" box was unchecked. They have sent me lots of spam. Articles about how to check my batteries, about when to replace my batteries, supporting the troops, golf kart battery sales... Second Review - 1/5 stars (This was a duplicate review - my bad, I didn't realize you should edit vs post new reviews - it was taken down by the business. In other words, they are checking Yelp, but are not stopping with the spam) Nonstop spam. Really a bad move - I buy lots of batteries. (I have 5 cars and a lead acid power grid for my burning man camp. They were my sole battery vendor, but have abused my personal details, which I foolishly shared - to buy batteries from them! - to such an outrageous extent that I'm done. Initial review - 2/5 stars Aggressive spamming of personal details Really a shame - good products, courteous and knowledgeable staff. But if you give them any personal info they spam the daylights out of you. I have bought all of my serious batteries from them for about a decade (cars, burning man solar system) - yet they jeopardize that relationship by spamming me To the business: I sincerely hope you stop sending marketing email to anyone who shares their details with you. I share PII with you to do business, not so you can sell it. I don't care what your privacy policy says, I have a "no $ to spammers policy". I also hope you stop taking negative reviews down and instead consider the feedback. I will share that I picked up my most recent order sometime in Q1 2026 and I will be happy to remove this review a year after I receive my last marketing email from you. Also: I've talked to other businesses who had an error in their customer database settings that was sending marketing email to every email on file, perhaps this is why you are spamming me. I'm making a 7,000 WH battery for burning man this weekend, and I regret that I am unable to consider you as a vendor for this purchase. Perhaps next time. read more

So this is my second review for Batteries Plus as this time I needed a key fob to be programmed to my vehicle after losing a set of keys. Joey was patient and professional and both the fob and internal key within the fob work without a hitch. I purchased the fob itself online and brought my own battery - not a problem. The programming itself was reasonable in comparison with other local quotes. Most importantly, it was done in a timely manner and it works! This is a small storefront that would be easy to miss . There is free parking in the back. If you need a new key fob, car battery, watch battery, any sized light bulb, etc... run on over. The quality of the products is good and the service is top notch. Thank you, Joey, for helping me remedy the loss of my car key. read more

Had a great visit today at this store. I called around for some watch batteries and was getting some ridiculous quotes from all types of Jewelry Watch stores until I called this place. The prices were a lot better than the other places and I decided to add 7 new batteries to my watches. I met with Connor Assistant store manager, and he took care of my watches in about 20 minutes. I will definitely refer all of my friends and family to Batteries Plus if they want to save some money. I walk with a cane and AFO brace on my left leg and Connor was professional enough to offer me a seat while I waited. They have light bulbs, flash lights and even Car batteries. They also can fix your cell phones and laptops. I was pretty impressed such a small place packed with a lot of useful stuff. I will be a regular there and send all of my NINER GANG to them. read more

This place is a rip off! You ask for replacement batteries and they don't tell you they charge to change it out for you. $16 for one battery and their "time" to swap it out. I told the guy I didn't ask him to change it out. So he took out the battery and sold me a two pack for $11! Then he gave me my remote back with NO battery in it. He threw away my old one. Then he stands there watching me replace the battery he just sold me. WTF?! What kind of service is that?! I could have ordered off Amazon and not have to deal with idiots. I will NOT be coming back. There is a reason brick and mortar is dying. No words! read more

My usual batters store went out of business. I found batteries plus as an alternative and they have become my go-to battery store. I had a non-working glucose meter that I thought was a defective battery. They took the time to make sure the problem was the battery, but it was the meter. They were very quick and effective and save me money with a battery that could not help me. read more

Why do I keep coming back for any battery requirement? Service, Service Service! Stopped by because I had a finicky key fob for an old Camry. Asst Store Mgr Conner Burslem took the time to thoroughly inspect the fob. After testing the fob with the 3 other batteries I had on hand he determine they were all dusted. After installing a fresh battery the fob still wasn't working. He pointed out that these old Camry fobs needed to be re-flashed every time a battery is removed. Who knew? Not me! Conner pulled up the instructions online and ran me through it then pointed me to google to find the instructions. It's an odd process but after a couple of try's the remote fob is back to life. Another problem solved thanks to the helpful service at this store! read more

I stopped by Batteries Plus due to a possible battery issue with my car. I was lucky enough to be helped by Eric, who was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire process. Eric took the time to test my battery and walked me through the multimeter readings step by step. He clearly explained what each of the numbers meant and what they revealed about my car battery's health. It wasn't just a quick "get it over with" service and instead felt like a hands-on lesson in battery diagnostics. He recommended using an automatic battery maintainer to keep the battery charged when I'm not driving it, and to help me avoid similar issues in the future. While I had to decline since we don't have an available outlet for the parked car, Eric completely understood and still offered thoughtful alternatives without any pressure to buy the charger. Overall, Eric went above and beyond with honest, professional advice and great customer service. I left feeling much more informed and confident. If you need battery help, I definitely recommend going to Batteries Plus and asking for Eric! :) read more

I needed two 6-volt AGM 205 aH batteries for my teardrop camper. I called and the person I talked to said he had two left in stock and put them on hold. He verified that he could install them for about $50. I hauled my camper down the following morning and parked in their very tiny parking lot. Inside, it took several minutes for the counter person to locate the batteries, and one of them was the display model. He installed it, and only got 6 volts instead of 12. He went and got two other people to assist him and they rewired it. Got 13 volts! Great! But, no electricity in the camper. They determined that was a different problem, and they'd done their job. This cost me $782. I came home, called an RV tech, and he correctly rewired the batteries and replaced the battery blade fuses that had been blown by wrongly wiring the batteries. Cost me an additional $350. So, $1,130 to replace two $250 batteries. Their products are overpriced and their installation is dangerous. Do NOT recommend. read more

I recently purchased a few light bulbs after consulting with Mason. He was very helpful in understanding my needs as I did not understand the specifications which were most important for replacing the old bulb. He was patient in explaining not only why the replacement bulb was the correct choice but also educating me on what the different aspects of the bulb meant (such as 2700k, the angle of light projected, etc.). read more

This review only applies to car key fob replacement. In my case, the key fob item itself bought from Batteries Plus was faulty, as was its replacement. That means that their supplier is not providing quality parts. Note that Batteries Plus does a great job with the programming side of the replacement. If you can, order a factory key fob, then take it to Batteries Plus to get it programmed. Their programming fee is very reasonable, and no appointment is needed. read more

I buy all my car batteries from Battery Plus. I have a strong preference for Duracell batteries because of their exceptional longevity. I'm just not a fan of DieHard and Interstate because they tend to fail right after the warranty expires. My original Duracell, which I bought from another Battery Plus in 2016, is still performing very well. However, since car batteries typically last up to 5 years, I decided to replace it before it died. Before driving there, I called to make sure they had the battery in stock. After a 30-minute drive, I arrived at the store and had a new battery in my car within an hour. I'm keeping the old battery charged in my garage as a backup. read more

I have an 8:30 appointment. Nobody told me that I needed to find my turned off until I got there. I told the gentleman that I'm paying for this and just need the screen swapped out. He said apple requires diagnostics and everything else be done I told him that I pay for the insurance every month and I just need a new screen he repeated what he said and asked me how much I was paying for the service today I was shocked and told him. I am paying for the service because I pay for the insurance every month. He nodded and said o k , have a good day then. He was quite the smart alec without any of the help. Special 'Free Installation' offered on website was not honored at this location. Didn't have tools necessary to perform battery reset (required on some cars) yet offered install at an additional charge. Charge to install was not excessive, but counter to an offer that the reservation was booked under (see screen shot/photo.) While there is a disclosure about exclusions, the franchise receives a notification with vehicle information, and customer contact information. Morally and ethically the business owner knows their policy, but the customer does not. They should be, as a courtesy, not only confirming the appointment but clarifying their policy that is outside of the website offer, giving the customer and opportunity to make an informed decision. Pretty sure the store could opt out of online scheduling with the corporate website. Can't have your cake and eat it too, right? read more

My UPS battery failed late last night, which powered off almost everything in my home office, including the household wifi. A quick search, via cellphone, revealed that Batteries Plus in San Jose had a compatible battery in stock. My girlfriend and I arrived at the store at 9:00am, and Joseph quickly found the right replacement battery for our UPS. He also kept our old battery for recycling. (He mentioned that Batteries Plus will recycle common household batteries and light bulbs. Good to know!) We were back home in short order, and the new battery was installed before 10:00am. Everything was quickly back in operation, including wifi. I was amazed at everything the store sells besides batteries: UPS devices, flashlights and lanterns, and much more. read more

My company buys a lot of batteries through this company, & usually they are pretty good even though they are over priced a bit. This time 8 batteries stop hold a charge after a few months. I was looking to replace the battery of my Motorola walkie talkies. I went to your store and I got a price of two batteries for 60 dollars. I thought it was almost the price of the walkie talkies. So I decide to look for the batteries or a new walkie talkies. In eBay I got two batteries for 10 dls, brand new. It really disappointing to realize that your store is making a profit of 50 dls. I don't thing that is right and that you are trying to charge the same price that the walkie talkies cost me brand new. Is not clever. I can understand that you have the store and the batteries right away for sale, I would be ok to pay maybe 20 for both batteries and that's the double of the price for me. But 60 made me walk away and think that I won't go back again to your business. I hope that you can consider it and help you to stay in business read more

I always like Batteries Plus Bulbs. I visit my store in Colorado Springs frequently to buy batteries (Car, Motorcycles, homes) and light bulks, laptop and cell charges. They staff is very knowledgeable and are helpful. So no surprise when I visited the San Jose CA store with my dad. My Samsung Note 5 usb port was iffy and as it is 4 years old I probably needed to replace my battery. So we went in and talked to Tyler. What a wonderful, knowledgeable and delightful young man. He explained that the usb port was replaceable but I would need to replace the screen at a great expense, and after checking the usb port, said that it was a little damaged but still workable. So I decide just to get the battery replaced. Professionalism through and through. read more

This is an absolute nightmare! The only reason I am back here now is because apparently the battery I bought for my Yukon was a part of a "bad batch" I came here a month ago, they said that they ordered me a new one and would call me when I came in. They never called me. I called them, they said that is is here and to come in so they can swap it out. After a jump starting my car, & a 30 minute drive I arrive for them to swap the battery out for a new one. An hour and a half goes by while I sit in the car with my 3 children 10, 4, 4, and the youngest who turns 3 today. Now they can't get my car to start, they can't figure it out, the manager tells me that I am Shit out of luck, leaves my care taken apart, refuses to put it back together and tells me to get a tow truck and Uber for the babies. The manager even physically pushed me! This is a complete nightmare!!! Police reports will be filed and legal action will be taken! I called the police, as I wait for them to come I go to attempt to put my car back together and the first bolt I pick up to put back in, I see that they completely snapped it. I just left it all apart and came to sit in the car while I wait for the police and tow truck to arrive. NEVER COME HERE! NEVER! read more
