Wish I could leave a less than 1 star rating. Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service!!! I have never been treated so poorly as I was tonight at the Verizon store in Cupertino on Stevens Creek. They had attempted to activate my previous phone for me as the new phone I just purchased and had delivered was damaged and wouldn't work properly. When trying to reactive the old phone, they mistakenly put in the activation date 2 days in the future instead of today as they were supposed to do. We walked back into the store 2 hours later to get the problem resolved and with NO CUSTOMERS in the store, the manager Chris announced that they weren't helping walk in customers and to go to another store, maybe I could get it fixed in 2 days. RIDICULOUS!!! When I walked in, he was sitting on a chair with no one in the store. He proudly showed me his badge so I couldn't mistake his name with another staff member. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE customer service, I suggest you choose another store to spend your money at! Or maybe even pick another cell service provider. Buyer beware! read more

I had a problem with my phone bill. I wasted an hour with very poor help after calling 611. I decided to try to settle issue in store. I went to that store in Cupertino; after all, this is the store I bought my first mobile phone at 25 years ago. I explained the problem to them. Kevin helped me by calling the loyalty line for me. He helped me upgrade my account and explain to the loyalty line person the issue with my bill. He literally hand held me through the process. I left the store with my billing error fixed, a newer better and cheaper plan, and respect for Verizon, the Stevens Creek store and especially for Kevin. Thanks Kevin. read more

We had a trouble transferring a Verizon eSIM when buying a new iPhone in Apple Store. Wasted 2 hours there and had no luck. We arrived at this Verizon shop 10 minutes before closing and I had no hope that we will get any help that late. But we were wrong. Bobi stayed over closing time and helped us get the eSIM working. I initially bought my cellphone at this location. The curbside pick up was disorganized and the wait long. I came back in person to get my phone checked out after having several connectivity issues. I walked in and someone took down my name and noted that there was 3-4 people ahead of me and the wait was one hour long. He took my information down and noted they would call when it was my turn. 1.5 hour passed and I walked in to ask for an update. Still 2 people ahead of me. I decided to leave at that point and about 30 minutes later got a call that it was my turn. I noted I had already left but would come back as the phone issue was a pressing one. Patrick worked on the phone issue, made calls, and tried to fix the issue. He spoke with Jose a manager about the phone not matching up and the manager asked him to ensure it was my phone and the correct one (not sure what he was insinuating but he never stopped to help out). Patrick brought out a list of numbers to call for the issue. In the meantime Patrick offered the Verizon Credit Card and Device Protection. A ticket for the issue was opened over the phone and the issue was not resolved. I left after wasting about 3 hours with no resolution. I came back at the end of the week to get more help and Dylan worked on the issue. The issue was not resolved but Dylan was more proactive with the situation. He also was able to cancel a line without giving me a list of numbers to call and do it myself. Save yourself the time and book an appointment. You will get employees who will help you and others who will have you do the work. I've been a customer of Verizon for over 15+ years and I'm aware of what good customer service is. I went into the Verizon Wireless store at this address yesterday. I spoke with an agent named "Jackie" twice. Jackie was very generous with her time, attention, and customer. I am a T-Mobile customer, at present. I have 16 monthly of monthly payments to pay off my present phone through T-Mobile. Despite agents' desire to sign people up for contracts, Jackie was/is very honest and helpful in letting me know that, because my phone was bought on a promotion at T-Mobile, it will be much more economical to stay with T-Mobile for now and finish paying off the phone with T-Mobile. I really appreciate Jackie's honesty, advice, and earnest help. I have 16 months left on my contract to pay pff the phone with/through T-Mobile. I will not forget Jackie's honest customer service ways. In 16 months, if I am still in this part of California, I will go back to Jackie (at the 20735 Stevens Creek Blvd. in Cupertino, CA Verizon store) to switch to Verizon and give Jackie my business. To make things even worse, they sold me a bunch of equipment that I didn't need. I had asked if there was a connecting cable for "C" port and was told no, that I needed to buy a new block ($50). Much to my surprise, Amazon sells multi port cables for $6.99!!! Plus they offered to transfer my data, then charged me $40 without advising me (Apple does for free)! My parents were finally opening up their own cell phone plan, so it was time for me to hop on the roommate's. Since we were having dinner in the area, we stopped by this Verizon location on Saturday, October 14th around 3:45pm. This is a pretty big location, but I'd still suggest making an appointment if possible. Overall, from start to finish (or lack of finish. I'll get to that later.), we were here for a full hour. The person helping us out (I believe his name was Josh.) was very nice and helpful. Though he was jumping back and forth between helping us and someone else. We were ready to add me when we found out my unlocked phone was not compatible with Verizon. Wtf?! Not Verizon's fault as their system says my IMEI number isn't compatible, but they couldn't port my number over that day. Such a shame as we spent a whole hour here. Nice location as it's big, bright, and clean. I just wished I could have added my number that day. read more

We tried setting up our phones using the phone number the store gave us. The store rep told us we can call to get it setup. Guess what?!! Not!! We had to go back to the store to get our phones set up. But there was no way we were coming back to the same store. We went to the one in San Jose and explained our frustrations. The rep there was surprised that we were told to set it up using the number the store had given us. Finally we got our phones setup after a very frustrating n infuriating situation. Trust me..if I could use some explicit words here to describe our experience with the store in Cupertino I would. Don't go there unless your want the round around or know how bad customer service is!!! Just FYI..I was told an Apple Store could have helped us set things up. I went to this store to change my plan started on next billing Cycle, July 26. Michael is the staff who helped me. He told me that I will start to pay $145.xx on Aug. 14, but I showed him our bill, we will pay the billing cycle of Jun 26 to July 25 on Aug. 14, which would be old plan, it should be $119.xx. Then, he said: Yes, you will start to pay for the new plan on September 14. Today, I checked on my Verizon app, it showed my auto payment of $145.xx on Aug. 14, the billing cycle is from Jun 26 to July 25--the period of the old plan. This is not honest! read more

The folks are good when things don't go wrong. However, do not fall into their trap that you need the Verizon total protection plan for your new iPhone. If you get an iPhone, get the AppleCare plans. You get insurance if lost/stolen and device replacement if it's damaged. You're more than likely to damage the phone. At Apple it will cost you $99 and it's in-house. Verizon pushes onto their insurance provider and charges you $249 regardless it's damaged, lost, or stolen. The new AppleCare plan has damage protection and good insurance if lost or stolen. I guess I should also end it, Verizon has good reception. Just don't give these folks business since they will mislead you. read more

The only reason why we frequent this place is b/c it's down the street from where we live and it's an actual store, rather than a stand in the mall. Otherwise, we would never come here. I buy all my stuff online instead of coming into the store. So my brother and I walked in several weeks ago b/c his early generation LG Chocolate phone had issues (surprise, surprise). The keys were not responsive and the thing would cut out mid-conversation or just turn off randomly. So we walked in to get a new phone since it was still under warranty. Instead of a new phone, they gave us a refurbished one, which my brother told me is normal. But I was still surprised about that. Anyway, the long-haired darker Asian chick, a little chubby, took at least 45 minutes to set up the phone. My brother said it was b/c he had a lot of pictures, but 45 minutes this day and age is ridiculous. And I saw her sauntering back and forth behind the customer service desk and talking with the other associates. I wouldn't had minded that so much if she told us what the wait time was going to be so I could anticipate it (or peruse Target!). I just thought that was extremely rude. I have had Verizon Wireless for many years now and have had great service with the phone and usually with the customer service also. However, I came into this store with a simple question about activating a phone I bought for my son and the person at the store refused to help me at all because I didn't have an appointment. I had understood I couldn't get in-depth service since they were appointment only but the woman was so condescending and dismissive that I left the store seriously considering moving carriers. 5 stars bc they turned around my horrible experiences at the McCarthy Ranch Milpitas location & the Santa Clara store on El Camino (see my prior review). They are truly committed to giving great customer service and it starts as soon as you walk through the door. I was instantly greeted by Max and he was so friendly and helpful, he made it a point to understand what I needed help with and ensured that I was seen in a timely manner. Mind you, at the other Verizon locations, customer service was completely lacking and wait times were extremely long. So needless to say, Max is awesome and definitely one of the most helpful employees I've ever encountered at a Verizon retail store! Andres was the rep that helped me and he did so quickly and efficiently. They processed my exchange for a defective iPhone XS Max quickly and made sure I was taken care of. I recently upgraded my phone and encountered a very slick salesperson who added insurance for all my devices. I was never asked if I wanted this. My bill increased by a huge amount. Mr Slick then made an appointment for me to transfer my phone information and then rescheduled me at another store two days later. They just wanted to make a sale and had no interest in helping. I went to the Verizon store where I received great customer service, including having my bill adjusted to reflect the services I wanted. Avoid the Cupertino store at ALL costs !! read more

High Tech, fast and friendly service. I was in and out with two iPhones within 25 minutes. That was with a 10 minute wait. I came seeking iPhones, a 4 and a 5. As soon as I walked in someone took my name down to put me in the queue. I wish I remembered his name, he was slightly condescending. I have 2 names and was about to surprise my parents for their anniversary so it was complicated putting a name down for the queue. I waited for about 10 minutes, not so much interested in playing with what they had out, although the Sony smart watch did catch my eye. Once my turn on the queue came up I got fast and friendly service, I knew what I wanted and went for it. No paper work, the receipt was electronically sent to my email. After waiting about 15 minutes in a store with more staff present than customers, I was finally helped. I had an issue with my trade-in not showing the correct amount ($100 instead of $300). The person at the counter told me to come back later due to the glitch (hard to do given the tight trade-in window deadline) or to take the trade-in value and ask Verizon to refund the difference later. Both terrible options as a customer, so I asked to speak to the manager. To my surprise, the manager spent the majority of his energy attempting to convince me that I didn't understand the deal and needed to purchase the device through him. I respectfully disagreed with them, explaining that either Best Buy or Verizon needs to honor any advertised offer. At this point, I was confused as to why they could neither give me a proper answer nor escalate the issue to someone who can help. They called Verizon customer support which took another 10 minutes; however, when a person answered the phone, the sales person handed me the phone and the other end hung up before I could speak. Roughly 30 minutes of my lunch break burned at this point. Finally, I decided to call Verizon directly. After waiting 20 minutes on hold, finally got through to someone who quoted the correct ($300) price and sent me a shipping label. The staff are nice and friendly, that's not the issue at all. However, ultimately customers need to be helped in a timely manner and staff should either understand the current advertised deals properly (especially the manager!), or have some process in place to help customers if they do not know the details. This is my 1st Yelp review because of the awesome customer service I received from the Verizon Store in Cupertino today. I had a cluster of problems and it took a little time to sort out--about 2 hours. Big shout out to the main person who helped me, Kathy, and also the Manager/Store Facilitator Tony. Kathy was so kind, heard my needs, and got the job done. Tony was awesome and even turned on "The Secret Life of Pets" movie for Tiana to watch, so I could get stuff done stress-free. That meant the World to me. I've worked in retail before and I know it's not always easy.... so from the bottom of my heart, I really thank them for the great customer service today. Recently got a new phone at another Verizon store and my number was supposed to have been ported over, but it hadn't gone through after a week so I came to this store. I was helped by Andrew, who was super knowledgable and professional yet friendly. He was juggling a couple customers while helping me but I never felt ignored. He was honest and told me that I could save a lot of time by calling the port center myself, and explained exactly what to do, and I got it done in like 10 minutes at home. So yay my phone works now!
