Went in today and the young lady looked up my phone number and then says that I'm not on the account so my wife is going to have to come in. She stood there, not willing to offer any options. I asked how we can just add me as an authorized user and she said I'd have to call customer service and it would be up to 48hrs to complete. I then asked if she could look up an account that I used to have with FirstNet. She said if it's under your same number, I can't help you. I said okay and started to walk and she "Have a nice day" in a very rude manner.
I nearly walked next door to Verizon to signup because of this lady.
In the parking lot I called customer service, they said I can be added online and it's instant. After logging in and adding myself I went back in and asked her to check again, she was in disbelief that it would be on there already. When she confirmed that I was now on the account as an authorized user she asked for my ID so we could get started. I said no, that's all I needed now.
I then went to Avon and they looked up my (closed) FirstNet account with only using my ID and fixed the issue there. Then assisted with my current family plan.
Afterwards, I asked what they would advise someone to do if they found out they did not have authorized permission on their account. Answer, simple, login to your account, add user :) perfect, Avon ATT is the place. I explained to them my Camby experience, turns out a lot of customers experience the same problems with Camby and end up at Avon.
Camby location is just an authorized dealer so they'll just give incorrect info and act how they want. If you really need help, go to the Avon location west of Dan Jones. read more
