As someone who finds themselves constantly doing stupid things, the latest was to drop my iPhone and have the screen shatter in an unholy fashion. The Apple Store wanted upwards of 200 plus tax to give me a refurbished phone, or attempt to fix my old phone. With that said, Anthony W. of iCracked was a great alternative to the Apple Store. iCracked's online website directed me to the option of fixing my own phone, mailing it in, or meeting up with a local rep who would do the labor. I chose the latter, and soon enough Anthony texted/called me and a meeting was set up. His schedule was very flexible, not only with time, but also location. I chose to drop my phone off at his house. Anthony was very personable, a lot more than someone you may encounter at the Genius Bar. Don't be turned off by the whole "online/meeting up with a rep" concept; the whole operation was very legitimate, and after about an hour, my phone's screen was replaced, at a fraction of the cost. PROS: Cost Effective Fast, flexible scheduling Customer Service CONS: I suppose if you have the screen replaced, and then take your phone into the Apple Store, the Third party work done on the phone would void any warranty/Apple Care your phone may have. Anthony Willis was an awesome technician and super flexible and professional. I was frustrated when I ordered the DIY kit for an iPhone 4 screen replacement from icracked and the tools were not up to par. I contacted Anthony and he met me and replaced my screen in a little less than an hour and it looked fabulous. When my flash wasn't working anymore that night I contacted Anthony again and he was wiling to meet with me the next day and find the problem and make it right without charging me again since it had happened when my screen was being replaced. I was horrified when i tripped & dropped my iPad 3. Of course the cover flipped open & it landed face down on the concrete & raised lip of the door jam. The screen was completely shattered. Apple said I could mail it in & for $300 they would fix it - but it would be 2 or more weeks before I got it back. A friend told me about iCracked.com. Matt was recommended by a friend who also had him fix her cracked iPhone. He was very nice, trustworthy, friendly and knowledgeable. Loved that he came to our house! I would never feel comfortable sending my phone away for 3 days, as is the case if you take your phone to be fixed at phone store in mall and Radio Shack. He gave us a discount because he had 3 of our phones to be fixed. He even found an extra screw in my daughter's phone that was her cause of not hearing through the speaker. Dustin helped repair my iPhone 4S. I cracked the entire bottom portion of my phone and immediately signed up on iCracked's website. He called me within minutes and said he would be able to fix it the next day! Not only did he offer to fix it within 24 hours but he personally drives to pick it up and drop it off for you. I needed repair of iPhone5 cracked screen. I was to make an aptmt at the location (local Starbucks) and time (after hours) of my choosing.
