Cool hole in the wall brewery in Hackensack! Came by on a Wednesday night so it was fairly empty. Great music and they stayed open later for the Knicks game. We ordered the stout and sour beer which were both light and refreshing. Prices are fairly reasonable. Looking forward to coming back next time we're up in this direction!

The one beer that enjoyed the most was from the Brix City Brewery. I hung out by their tent most of the time I was there. It has body and a nice hazy look to it. It is what I believe a great IPA should be. I plan to go to the brewery soon for a visit and maybe a tour. They clearly sold me on their beer. I finally went to the brewery and the atmosphere was very nice. There was a chill environment with some live music playing. The server was very welcoming and helpful making suggestions and recommendations. Unfortunately, we tried three different beers and all of them were warm! I'm sure there must have been a problem with their refrigeration because that's not the way to serve beer. I left and went to Hackensack brewery where they always serve cold beer. Sorry but they need to address the refrigeration issue before I can go there.

These beers strike the perfect balance between rich, smooth flavor and that classic IPA bite. Honestly, they're way more complex and enjoyable than I expected. If you're not into IPAs, give these a try--you'll probably be surprised. The taproom has a great vibe--casual, welcoming, and centered around a cool reclaimed wood bar. The staff is knowledgeable and super friendly, always willing to offer a taste or a recommendation. Whether you're into hazy IPAs, darker brews, or something a little more experimental, there's always something interesting on tap. Keep an eye out for their seasonal releases or small-batch brews--they get pretty creative with their flavors, and it's absolutely worth checking out.

People working there that are super friendly and engaging with customers and seem like they really understand beer and are excited about it. Most importantly: a killer taplist with an astounding 21 beers, one NA beer, and one seltzer. No two beers alike and all of them inventive and delicious. For me the real standout was the Politics and Religion, a DIPA with milk sugar and coconut and sabro hops. This is just a quintessential NJ brewery. My girlfriend and I have been to a lot of NJ breweries over the years, and we feel confident ranking this one high on the list. We visited on a Sunday afternoon in February and whiled away the hours watching Winter Olympics with the staff and other patrons. The only downside is parking. There are about five parking spots out front. If you're not lucky enough to grab one of them, and especially if they have a special event going on, you'll have to demolition derby your way into a parking space amongst the maze of narrow streets that surround the brewery. This place just passed their 7th anniversary and will undoubtedly be around for many years to come. We live far away but can't wait to come back someday.

There is a parking lot down the road where you can park and walk it's maybe a 2minute walk and way easier to park. They had a food vendor outside with kebabs and a birthday party ongoing so it was definitely packed. We opted to sit inside as it was hazy outside and a bit too humid for liking. When trying to go inside it seemed there was a large group at the end of the bar which in turn was blocking the entrance. And they didn't seem to move when the door was opened. When ordering my boyfriend ordered their oh the pain DIPA and he really liked it. I struggled to find something as they didn't have any sours on tap. So I went with the Sanguine which was supposed to be their blood orange wheat beer. It was drinkable but definitely not something I'd get again. Was definitely surprised when I asked if they had anything non alcoholic and the bartender said no. Glad we were able to try this brewery but probably would not come back.

I'm not a huge beer drinker but I like the occasional frosty brew. Ghost Hawk has a nice variety for me to try out. The building itself has a great lay out and a is the perfect spot to meet someone for happy hour. It's a good spot to spend a lazy Sunday. One of the best perks about the place is that Rutts Hutt is across the streeet for when you get hungry. Ghost Hawk also throws great outdoor events with food trucks and local vendors selling their products. If your lucky you might catch a local hardcore show one night. Overall GH is a great brewery with great people always having a good time. So stop in, grab a beer and say high to Steve!! Don't forget to take a bag of beers to go. Which by the way always have awesome labels.
