Gearblock was recommended to us by a bartender at another brewery. It's been on my list to visit for a while now and I'm glad we finally were able to stop in. My husband and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. I tried the saison, the kolsch, and the Pilsner. All were very tasty. My husband had the brown ale and enjoyed it. Next time we have to come with snacks !

Stopped in on a Friday evening. Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking (and food options if you want to buy and bring food in) Pet friendly (a few dogs were there on my visit. Place is very clean ( even bathrooms), odor free. Friendly staff. Love when you go to a place for the first time and it's easy to strike up a conversation with ownership\staff. As the name implies ( Gearblock), it has an automotive tie-in with decor and names of beers: Alfa ( one of my favorites, an Italian Pilsner), Driven, Fahrvergnugen ( homage to Volkswagen ads of yore), Standard Coupe.... Good selection of beers. Surely something for everyone. I look forward to going back.

Heading home from EXCEL physical therapy in Ridgewood North, Waldwick, , I decided to stop for one beer to watch the start of the NCAA sweet 16. I tasted some hazy IPAs and then had a flight that included a stout. Was watching NCAA basketball at GEAR BLOCK brewery, open three years now, and found inve Perusia , Open two years, is around the corner in the same plaza. They do free delivery, just a short walk. They sell slices and have plenty of room for a sit down family dinner. Price seems reasonable. Tagliatelle Bolognese was hot and tasty. At Gear Block a group of 10+ people were having pizza salads appetizers, hanging out not really there for the game. The bar was pretty full as well as folks at a couple of tables. We'll try it again . Very tasty, local, micro brewery.

This is such a fun local brewery in New Jersey! We met up with a friend here for a few brews. The beers were very tasty. I like that there are several different glass sizes, so you can choose to get a small taster sized beer if you want. Also, the prices were very reasonable. I really like the saison beer. They don't serve any food here, just FYI. They have a few snacks behind the counter, but you are better off bringing your own food (which they allow) or ordering in food from one of the nearby restaurants. The service was prompt here. The restrooms were clean. The brewery space was not too crowded. The place was family-friendly! All-around a great place to meet up for a beer.

We really enjoyed our quick stop here at Gearbox Brewing Company. We got 4 short pulls: Harvester, One Way Trip, Axel Revolt, and Last Car On The Lot. All were excellent representations of their specific styles. Our favorite was One Way Trip, a hazy NE IPA - delicious! It was packed with flavor and just the right amount of citrus and hops. It didn't have a kick you in the butt hoppy finish, which I liked. Loved the atmosphere! I like the modern-industrial look. Great place to hang out with great staff. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Staff were quick and pleasant serving us. Definitely a place I'd like to hang out in.

such.damn.good.beer! you might be turned off at first since this is basically an outdoor strip mall, but grab a free parking spot and head inside. the atmosphere is fun and alive in here. GREAT servers and very informative on the beer they serve - they also are fans of the beer! they have flights (peep the pics for the cool round wooden tray). high top bar & a few tables, but theres also a small outdoor section in the front. the selzters, porter and stout are my fave so far. they just opened and they already have a large selection on tap & im looking forward to bringing my ass back here to try some more.

Best new brewery in the Bergen County area! The owners as well as their staff are super friendly and family oriented! Their beer is also incredible! I had a small birthday party here and they did an amazing job helping me with set up and clean up as well as helping make the party so special for our guests! Thank you! Highly recommend!

Great venue. The beers I tried were great and the staff (one of the owners) was awesome. Not a large space but clean and inviting.

We've been a few times and haven't had a bad brew there yet. The only negative is that it isn't open more days if the week.

Many of Glenbrook's beers are named after the revolutionary period, such as their Midnight Ride American Nitro Stout. And be sure to check out the "paintings" of the staff members on their website. You won't be disappointed. Parking is a challenge as the brewery is located in the downtown area without a dedicated parking lot. My girlfriend and I came on a Sunday afternoon and were only able to find street parking a few blocks away. The taproom itself is a beautiful warehouse style space with small decorative revolutionary flourishes, views of the brewing equipment, a long bar but no seating at the bar, long wooden tables and plenty of high top tables, and more than enough tv's to show NFL football. A side business called Salt Pepper Ketchup (a man selling food off a flattop grill and a fryer) was located in the corner. His food looked incredible but we didn't try any. The beer was pretty good, all decent renditions of their respective styles. We each tried a flight and enjoyed what we had. Good beer, good food, football on the tv, friendly staff, decent sized crowd but not obnoxiously full... all in all great Sunday vibes and we would totally come back.

We enjoyed our visit!

Most importantly: a killer taplist with an astounding 21 beers, one NA beer, and one seltzer. No two beers alike and all of them inventive and delicious. For me the real standout was the Politics and Religion, a DIPA with milk sugar and coconut and sabro hops. This is just a quintessential NJ brewery. My girlfriend and I have been to a lot of NJ breweries over the years, and we feel confident ranking this one high on the list. We visited on a Sunday afternoon in February and whiled away the hours watching Winter Olympics with the staff and other patrons. The only downside is parking. There are about five parking spots out front. If you're not lucky enough to grab one of them, and especially if they have a special event going on, you'll have to demolition derby your way into a parking space amongst the maze of narrow streets that surround the brewery. This place just passed their 7th anniversary and will undoubtedly be around for many years to come. We live far away but can't wait to come back someday.

There is a parking lot down the road where you can park and walk it's maybe a 2minute walk and way easier to park. They had a food vendor outside with kebabs and a birthday party ongoing so it was definitely packed. We opted to sit inside as it was hazy outside and a bit too humid for liking. When trying to go inside it seemed there was a large group at the end of the bar which in turn was blocking the entrance. And they didn't seem to move when the door was opened. When ordering my boyfriend ordered their oh the pain DIPA and he really liked it. I struggled to find something as they didn't have any sours on tap. So I went with the Sanguine which was supposed to be their blood orange wheat beer. It was drinkable but definitely not something I'd get again. Was definitely surprised when I asked if they had anything non alcoholic and the bartender said no. Glad we were able to try this brewery but probably would not come back.
