I like the food and atmosphere but the manager was really frustrating. We were on a wait list but seats at bar opened up. They were reserved! It turns out the bar manager takes names and you have to tell her you want a seat. The hostess (nice) told us it was open seating but that's incorrect. Then the manager seriously suggested that we should know that bar seats are reserved, the hostess was new (threw her under the bus), & we should always put your name in with a bartender for a seat.I doubt the elderly couple getting martinis next to me knew that! It sounds like the bar mgr seats her friends, locals, and good tippers. We politely got a table when it opened up but the whole "insider knowledge" made me angry. read more

I've been here two times now and it was very good both times. Estia has a modern, clean atmosphere that feels welcoming. We ordered the lamb sliders both times and LOVED them. HORRIBLE experience here. Horrible horrible horrible. Not only was I horribly served, but Katie at the bar was such a bully. It's horrifying that she is in this industry. She looked me up and down and told me to eat a cheeseburger. Not only that, but before finishing our dinner, she told us they are trying to close and took our food away. DO NOT waste your money. Been there twice after work (in work clothes) after work once with sisters and the other with girlfriend and kids. After waiting for close to an hour standing in lobby watching other people with same number of people in party, We left. We changed to Italian restaurant where the hospitality was the way Greek should have been. My sisters and I are full blooded Greek and never been treated as badly as we were there. I've never received such rude service from both staff and a manager in my life. My family and I went to this restaurant for good greek food and were extremely disappointed with our treatment. My mother ordered a glass of wine at the beginning of the meal, sent it back after one sip because it tasted like it had been sitting out, and asked for a different wine. After 30 minutes we never received the wine even after our food arrived so we asked the busboy about the wine. He said they "weren't servicing us anymore". We called the waitress over, and she said that she decided not to serve us because my mother "seemed drunk" and she received a complaint from the table next to us. My mother was stone cold sober the entire meal and before it. We called the manager over and told her what had happened. She said, I wasn't there so i'll have to judge this based on what my waitress said to you (blatantly disregarding everything we had been saying to her), and followed up with "I don't know where you go before you come here". The only reason that I could imagine for my mother seeming drunk is that she and the rest of the table were laughing and enjoying their time. Perhaps a notification that the table next to us complained would have solved that problem, but our waitress took it upon herself to stop serving us entirely with no notification at all. My father told the waitress to send the check to the manager, and the manager alluded to calling the police on us if we didn't pay Go to this restaurant if you'd like to be served a bunch of bullshit. read more

Called to make a reservation and was informed that they didn't take them. we showed up and got on a list and waited for a text to let us know. they have a small waiting area next to the bar that was packed. the bar was packed. The only way to get a drink is way in the corner of the waiting area. we weren't in a rush so no problem. one hour and 15 minutes later the hostess comes over to get us and we received the text letting us know our table was ready. The hostess notices another group that came in long after we did and says I'm sorry but it was a mistake and then takes the other 3 to a table. We wait another 15 minutes and then I asked the hostess why they were seated before us. she said that they called in to get on the list. when I asked her why they didn't offer that to us or at least make us aware of it she got indignanot and said that I was yelling at her. At that point I explained that no I wasn't yelling, which I wasn't. I just turned away. It took another 15 minutes to get seated. one hour and 45 minutes wait. The server was excellent and the food was very good. I cannot understand how a restaurant that doesn't flip tables on a short timeframe could not have reservations. it's pure insanity. Nice restaurant but the food was horrible. My son ordered the Ribeye medium and came out well done and barely edible. Asked our server to send the steak back but was told since we took a bite out of it we can't send it back. Tried to explain to her we didn't noticed how overcooked it was until he TRIED to take a bite out of it but she wouldn't listen and walked away. My wife order the steak kebab but the vegetables on the steak kebab was badly burnt and meat was very tough. I ordered the lamb gyro which the description said "thinly sliced roast of lamb". What I got was chopped up cubes of bland lamb on a soggy pita bread. There are better restaurants around and I would avoid Estia unless you enjoy disappointment and frustrations. read more

I got carry out from Estia and would recommend it! You definitely get a lot of food. The chicken skewers were good and I like that they include a vegetable skewer. I wish the veggie skewer wasn't so tomato and onion heavy, but the peppers and zucchini were delicious. There's really great side options which I appreciate. My wife and I had 2 Gyros for lunch. Now, we have had gyros in Greece and New York City. They were delicious. These were my far the worst ones we had ever had. The lamb was actually dry shavings without any seasoning. They were so dry we asked for some au jus to make it moist. It did not help. The tomatoes were just pieces that were cut from one slice and the lettuce looked like it was just one tiny leaf. The entire meal had no taste. All this pleasure cost us $44 (before tax). Never going back again! We are full time residents of the Cape and were looking forward to a great Greek meal that we could have on a frequent basis. Came here three times during our week-long vacation since the food was so yummy. I'm surprised to see some negative comments on the food but maybe it all depends on what people ordered. Here's what we loved: lamb chops (juicy and tender), spinach salad with grilled octopus add on (salad was perfectly lightly dressed each time and oh-so-satisfying + healthy), beet hummus, margarita pizza. Bread and olive oil that they serve at the beginning is an appetite killer; had to make myself stop stuffing my face. Servers were very nice and attentive. If I can offer a suggestion it would be to improve cocktail selection and quality. But overall I definitely recommend. Great for families and couples alike. read more

Food is excellent, but there were two things that really impacted our experience. First, we waited an extremely long time for a server, and our appetizer wait was also long. Two minutes later, the entrees came out. Bad timing. Second, various people kept taking items from the table in a effort to rush us out. Never again. No thanks. Hard pass. We showed up at 9:40 and they sat us for dinner. Unfortunately, our waitress and the entire staff apparently wanted to be out the door by 10:00 on a Saturday night. Our waitress was abrupt and rude. She made it a point to mention what time the kitchen closed and asked if we were ready to order in a way that said "please don't order meals." If you don't want a "late" table and earn and extra tip, don't work in a restaurant. I wish we left immediately, but we didn't. While the food was fine, the service and the atmosphere really ruined the experience. Nothing like making paying customers feel unwanted by clearing out the bar and turning off the TV at 10pm on a Saturday. (Who won the baseball game anyhow? We missed the end). Speaking for a table of people who all worked in restaurants as teenagers and through our college years, we all thought the service and atmosphere was terrible. I hear Estia is opening a new location in Falmouth. Maybe they will rethink their management strategy and do a better job making customers feel welcome. I have been a long term customer here. I always loved the place. Today when we came once again the owner was nice and helped us with seating. Service was awful. The guy waiter was really awful. The grilled octopus was tough and burned. I took one bite and left all Of them. The waiter never asked what was wrong. My friend ordered wings and he could not eat them as well. If only there was an option to leave a negative star. I can not even put into words how awful my experience was sitting at the bar. This has been one of my favorite restaurants to go to on Cape Cod since they opened and unfortunately I will never ever go back. I am horrified by whoever not only did the hiring but also the training of the bar staff. I have been in the industry my entire life and have never seen anything like I did tonight. it started with the bar staff doing their side work at 7pm and rushing us out before even getting a seat at the bar. I kid you not, mid bite I was asked if I was done and if they could take the plate to clear it. After barley having the chance to finish our meals, I asked for a dessert menu and was given an eye roll and sadly this aspect of my experience made the rest look like a walk in the park. Katie, the bartender not only spent her night flirting with a guy at the bar but when we we're trying to get her attention for something she responded with "is there something on my shirt and when we responded "no" she asked if there was something on his Because she was making it known that she was with that guy and wanted to make that clear. Katie spent the talking to herself and making multiple trips to the storage room. When she wasn't having a conversation with herself she spent the night staring at us talking to Rebecca, another bartender, who also ended up being a nightmare. At the end of the night she took our dessert that was not finished and told us to leave at 9:03pm because they were closed when there were multiple paying customers at tables and bar seats. I have never regretted spending $200 at a restaurant and as a local will make sure to let everyone know that if they want a front row seat to a trip down memory lane at the middle school cafeteria... We had dinner here this past weekend. Worst service and food ever. I would never ever return. The manager (Barbara) was beyond rude to not just me, but my guest too. I had a service dog and she even removed him from the restaurant and made him sit outside. We ordered the octopus, the lamp lollipops and the artichoke appetizers. We ordered the Black Sheep wine. I have ordered it in the past but this time it was different. I think that it was watered down as it can in a different bottle than the past and may have been pre-opened. I would NEVER EVER go her again and would recommend that no one else goes here either - it was beyond BAD. It's hard to get five stars at anything, and there's very little to complain about here. The food we had was awesome, the portions were decent, and it wasn't expensive. We had pizza, a village salad, spanakopita, and a gyro. Yum! The oven is the secret! Everything that comes out of it tastes awesome, and we're looking forward to going back because of it! The only negative point is that they kept saying to us and to other customers that they had to check and see if they had certain things that were listed on the menu, which is off-putting. Worst experience! Came 1 hr away after seeing on phantom gourmet. Got seating by the manager at 745. Mari was our server. We ordered the spanakopita and the Horiatiki salad! And she brought out wrong app. After we enjoyed the appetizers we asked to put our entrees in and was told kitchen is closed!? I said no one told us that? I work at a restaurant and always tell patrons that kitchen will be closing soon. Mari got it approved from the manager on duty. After eating our dinner we asked to see a dessert menu to only be told we can't get dessert after watching 2 other tables receive theirs. Very disappointed!
