Great atmosphere and great pub food. Service is slow-which is the only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars. It can also be a bit noisy (which doesn't bother me) but FYI for others. read more

Been here a few times now. Last night I had the lamb for dinner and enjoyed it a great deal. The short ribs, when they appear as a special, are not to be missed. The mac and cheese is always great and the wings were good, too. I had Cajun spice dusted wings and they were indeed dusted, not dredged, in the spice mix. I wasn't in the mood for a lot of heat, but a bit more of the spice mixture would have boosted the wings' flavor. The salted caramel vanilla cake for dessert was very good. Mixed drinks were well executed. Not a beer drinker but the names of the beer offerings were a very entertaining read. Negatives: There aren't many tables, so if you want to sit and eat a meal, be prepared to wait. Also, it can be loud. Really loud. I arrived before 6pm. At 7pm, the overall volume in the place increased, like someone had twisted a knob. I had to yell at my husband across the table - he still couldn't hear what I was saying. The ladies at the hostess stand are always nice and I've always had good servers. If I don't feel like waiting or I'm too tired to contend with the sound level, I order dinner to go. I like this place and will definitely return. read more

Another great meal as Assembly. Fish Tacos are some of the best around. Beer selection is solid. I will be back soon.

I can't honestly remember my server's name tonight (I'm so sorry! I usually do!). Either way, she was friendly, smily, and attentive enough without being overbearing- I never wondered, "UGH WHERE IS MY SERVER?" but I never felt, "GIVE ME A MINUTE" either. Our drinks were great, our food was good. My friend and I filled up on our appetizer so we opted to take our entrees home. The one thing I will say is that any time I have been to the bar here, the staff has not only been unfriendly but they have full on ignored customers if they had friends at or near the bar. I remember one time my friend and I tried to sit at 2 open bar stools, but a friend of a bartender decided to go chit chat with him and put his arms around the stools- we waited probably 5 minutes just to sit, half-heartedly expecting the bartender to invite us to sit down, which he never did. The bartenders never smile or seem happy to serve you- can't say the same of our server tonight. She was tiny and blonde, great experience! Thank you! read more

I went out for dinner and drinks here last night (a Friday night) with my fiancé and another couple. It was my first time here. I loved the modern and trendy interior.. urban chic/industrial chic. The crowd was a mix from people 20's-50's. Each of us loved the dishes we ordered and the appetizers. The beef teriyaki stick appetizer was SO good! There was a nice drink menu as well. The waitress, Katrina was quite friendly and on top of her game. We ended up staying until about 9:45. By about 9-9:15 the lights dimmed a bit and the DJ came out and the bar scene got bigger. I would definitely recommend this place both for a sit-down meal as well as for drinks and nightlife at their bar. The atmosphere was very nice. I also loved that the whole front of the restaurant was wide open to the street so that fresh air could flow in. I would compare this place to the Yardhouse (which is one of my favorite spots). read more

Second time as assembly, unsatisfied. Food was incredibly salty i could barely tolerate it. Will definitely not be back

the food is pretty good, but the service makes me not want to go back. Don't ask your waitress if you have questions about the menu because she doesn't know. And when your food finally comes, it's not at all what's described on the menu (and don't nicely say that, because you will get attitude). read more

Fantastic seafood special when I ate there on 10/27/14. Seafood Picatelli? It was pasta, swordfish, scallops and shrimp with a creamy sauce that tasted like it had a touch of mustard powder. The seafood was extremely fresh... The shrimp must have been swimming only hours before! I am a seafood snob and I ate every bit of it, which is amazing simply because the portion size was quite large. Dave Matthews and other great music in the background made it feel like home! read more

I'd been wanting to go here for a while after driving by several times. I really liked the open windows concept and the ambiance. It was worth going to! I went during the Triple Crown and the crowd was lively. Got a few apps and clam chowder which were good- what you'd expect. Glad I went- probably will be back. read more

The service was great however the host was AMAZING. I created a yelp account right away after I told Laurie how great she was. During our meal I watched her help the servers bus their tables, clean them and ask people if they needed anything. I worked in the restaurant business for a while and have never come across a host as hardworking as her. Will absolutely come back! read more

Love this place! Such a great atmosphere and the food and drinks are top notch. I recommend Assembly to all my friends, it's a hidden gem!

Great atmosphere. Always street parking out front, even on weekends. The beef and potato pizza is to die for!

assembly always has great food. i went tonight and their food was awesome however they need to work on their waitressing because the waitress didnt come back to our table for ten mins or more at a time especially when taking our orders when we first got there. but food is definitely always great regardless of their staff. read more

First time attending this place because I've heard from a friend that the food is tasteful. Well to start off their wasn't a host to greet us and it took the waiter 15 minutes to come over and ask for drinks. The staff isn't welcoming and since I was with a diverse group the service didn't feel 100%. The food was okay, but again the items on the menu aren't difficult to prepare. The only positive thing I would say about this place is it was clean and modern. read more

I have been here several more times in the past 6 months or so and it is always fun. I had the wings, they were better than this time. The sauce was more than just tossed on, it was in the chicken. They were good. There always seems to be a decent crowd in there too! read more

This restaurant is our go-to in Quincy. We order takeout nearly every week on days we work late, and it's a good price for good food. Love the Assembly tacos -- the crispy chicken and fish are great options. In the restaurant they also have a good beer selection, and always dress up the place seasonally which gives it a fun ambiance. read more

Recently had dinner and a bottle of wine. Got home and realized they had charged two cocktails inaccurately. Immediately called and heard right back but did nothing was done about it. Disappointed read more

This place is awesome. I've been here a couple of times and have been pleased with the service & food. Fun atmosphere too.

never have I given a bad review but this is literally the Second Time Ive gone to this restaurant and sat at their huge bar waiting for the ONE bartender to actually notice me after more than 10 minutes ! Come on!-Can't you pay another bartender to work behind that huge bar so both ends are Covered?!. With only one, he doesn't even see that the two of us, as well as the couple next to us, with a menu, who were there well before 10 pm as were we. When he finally got around to us from the other end of the bar, he informed us kitchen was closed! All of us said same thing "we were here well before 10pm you never came back from the other end of the bar for 20 mins".Actually while I'm writing this now , bartender has been gone for the last 10 mins-haha not only were there not two bartenders, there is no one behind the bar. I mean- seriously!-what is the purpose of giving a menu to people if you are not going to let us know that kitchen is closing while bartender is at the other end of the bar for 20 mins?!! read more

Went to the Assembly this past Saturday around 5:00 pm. The decor is wonderful, warm color scheme made you feel very welcomed. The menu selection was great - lots of choices. We started with the 3-Cheese artichoke dip and it was fantastic - very tasty. I had the salmon with lemon butter sauce - best salmon I have had in a very long time, cooked perfectly. The french fries were amazing - with a delicious curry gravy on the side! My friend ordered the steak tips - they came with a huge portion of mashed potatoes, a heaping mound of green beans and onion rings. She said they were cooked perfectly. I had to taste the onion rings and mashed and they were very, very good. Our waitress was wonderful - she had a great personality and was very attentive to us - offering us suggestions, etc. Can not wait to go back!! read more

Went for dinner Friday night. Food was awesome and our server Laura was amazing. She started us out with chocolate martinis and ice cold bud light drafts. The food was very good as we had teriyaki sticks and buffalo fingers. The place is beautiful and I hope you have much success. A new business is hard and I'm sure mistakes will happen but keep up the good job your doing so far. Will come back to visit your fine staff and again Laura was wonderful and your front door staff is very kind. read more

Nice bar, great people and most important Great Food

First time there tonight- loved it. Food was great, especially steak and the fish tacos (yum). Very good fries, too. Love the decor. Staff was attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back. read more

I really like Assembly...great bartenders, good wait staff, good food for a bar. But the DJ on Friday nights totally not necessary!!! They are WAY to loud and the touch tunes juke box is all anyone really needs. I will be back but not on or Friday or Saturday when there is live music. Keep it simple people just want to hang out and have drinks. If I want loud music I'll go into Boston. read more

The only negative I can say about Assembly is if you like dumpy dive bars then Assembly isn't your place... this place is a first of it's kind in Quincy, the interior is nothing like you'll find in Quincy or the South Shore, it's as hip and chic urban as the exterior is unassuming. A group of 6 of (1 local, 3 Manhattanites, 1 Bostonian & 1 Londoner), we were met with a smile from the gorgeous hostess, seated promptly and service was great (we told our server that we"ll be drinking till we stay stop and she was spot on, not once did we have to order, she delivered our drinks with a sip left in each, the food was fantastic (chili was over top good) and the Manager Beejay was just like the chilli, great! Made sure we were happy with everything, just great! The crowd filled with mainly mid 20's to 30's (Saturday night) however there was a sprinkling of folks in their 40's through 60's... Overall, a great place to catch a game or just for a chill evening for better than the average bar food. To close, hopefully other places in Quincy and the surrounding areas will take a page out of this playbook and duplicate their brilliant efforts. read more

Love this place. The food is wonderful. I have been several times with my wife and have had many different items ,we loved them all! The staff is friendly and kind. Many times I am greeted by a smiling and friendly hostess named Diana. After several visits I introduced myself to her and she always greets me by name when we arrive and always wishes us well when we leave which makes us feel very welcome. Sometimes are sit at the bar and the bartenders are great. The waitresses are friendly, some more than others. Sometimes service is a little slow but overall is good. Our new favorite place. Highly recommend!! read more

My second time there and was really looking forward to it...their Fish n Chips are yummmm. Pretty simplistic beer options but really nice atmosphere. Great night until my friends crab cakes were raw, flavorless and well, gross looking, and my boyfriend had a giant piece of plastic (edging?) in his salad. He told the waitress and she took it away..came back with the bill with the charge for the salad. He said there was no way he was paying for it and she said she guessed she could take it off the bill. We noticed her go to the manager and they all turned and laughed. No thanks. Won't be back. read more

We've been to the Assembly 4 times in the past month. We love the margherita pizza and the salads. The waitresses are very attentive and the price is right. I highly recommend it. read more

So disgusted with my service writing my first review to point out how incompetent this place is, was told a twenty minute wait, waited an hour and a half only to be explained why a larger party that arrived an hour after us would be seated ahead of us, discourteous and horrible wait staff, hostess and manager, couldn't pay me to go back here read more

I'm currently sitting at a table and coming up on 15 minutes where no staff member has greeted me. I can count the number of guests in here on two hands so it's clearly not busy. I'm a server myself in Boston and know that this is completely unacceptable. Been here a handful of times and like it but it's as if I'm being blatantly ignored right now. read more

Cool place, decent food and prices. The staff is nice and welcoming. But the website is terrible. I just want to look at a text menu, not a clunky slideshow. Forget even trying to look at the mobile site. read more

Great haddock plate and burgers. Good beer prices too.

Great bar, very good food. Open late. This is a great spot in Quincy. I lke this place a lot

I've been here a few times. The food is great and very generous portions. The waitress however was slow and unattentive. We waited 20 minutes for our waitress Adrienne to check on us and mt BF ordered a drink. 15 more minutes later I got the hostess to get our check. The waitress never put in his drink order. She was probably the worst waitress I've ever had. read more

Fabulous fish tacos will not disappoint!!! They are perfectly prepared with great crispy fried fish that is tender and juicy inside. Perfect sauce and salsa and veggies. And a wide selection of craft draft beers that is regularly updated. Great personnel that are friendly and helpful. One of the gems in Quincy! You have to try it. read more

I love Assembly. The food is always fresh and delicious. They have incredible specials and a variety of different types of food to pick from. The staff is always attentive and friendly. My husband and I adore the pretty young blonde, Kaitlyn. She is so sweet and conversational every time we stop in. Keep up the great work! read more

Assembly has some of the best service and classiness in decor in a restaurant, that Norfolk Downs has seen in quite a while. The restaurant appeals to young and old patrons, and appears to be a comfortable and lively place to grab a lunch, dinner, meet up for business or pleasure, or with friends for drinks for the game. The venue has live music at times which adds to the flow of the night, and the employees are alwys friendly and welcoming. The menu includes a variety of unique and tasty appetizers, soups, salads, entrees, and specials of the day. I ordered one of the best pieces of salmon that I have had in a while and my asparagus was al dente, just as desired. In many visits to competitors in the area, I find Assembly to be my overall favorite. I appreciated the fine selection of liquors, wine, and draft beers, and really enjoy how much more open and accommodating the environment was. Give them a try, you won't be dissappointed! :) read more

The assembly rest, in North Quincy became another drunk in Irish bar in Quincy Sat. Night a fight in the bar 2 weeks ago. And sat. Night I a56 year old gentilmen. Was roughed up and pushed at the bar by 2 young. Men while I was having dinner. I being level headed called a cab paid my bill and left very fast with a full beer in front of me. I did not want to hurt the two young men very badly. So sorry to bartenders. Cooks and staff. Great food To the two young men at the bar. You have no class. read more

Hate to spoil it, but we won't be going there again. Gave it four trys and the food is good, but the noise level is so loud that you cannot carry on a conversation. We asked the sound be turned down and it was and then crept up again. By the time we left two of our party of four had a headache. Maybe we should just do take out, but the manager really has to pay attention to the fact that some people like to enjoy their food, have a conversation and leave feeling good, not relieved! read more

Get the chicken tickle my salad. Probably the best thing on the menu. Everything else kind of sucks.
