ASPIC was my favorite restaurant to visit this time in Paris (12/2022) and earned 1 Michelin star in 2022. Chef Quentin Giroud serves the freshest ingredients during his 7-course surprise dinner in his open kitchen. The restaurant itself is small but tastefully decorated in dim lighting. The tables are close but not so close that you hear other conversations. The food was simple and fresh, yet beautiful. Service was excellent and attentive. I highly recommend ASPIC for your next Paris trip. Make sure to reserve a table early.

Cute tiny restaurant in Paris. The food was good and service was wonderful. The chef came out to explain his menu and very friendly. The meal here was so inexpensive for One Star Michelin restaurant. The food was brought out on a timely manner for a Tasting Menu restaurant. The portion was very generous and the plates are beautiful. Definitely recommend this restaurant. Just make sure you give yourself at least 2 hours.

Having just earned a Michelin Star in 2022, Chef Quentin Giroud's gourmet Parisian restaurant serving re-imagined French cuisine (haute) was too shiny of a penny to ignore during our November 2022 visit. The multi-course menu claimed to serve 7 courses, but I counted 10. Such beauty, precision, and creativity offered in each dish. We opted out of the wine pairing which seems to be the usual recommendation, but it mattered not. The chef with his staff operating out of their open kitchen served a supreme dinner and at a reasonable price for Michelin standard (109,00€ per person). The restaurant is tiny, as per the French norm, but actually a little more roomy than most. Expect the experience to last at least 2 hours and DO make reservations beforehand. Even on a Monday night, the restaurant attracted quite the dinner crowd. A pleasant experience you will undoubtedly have, plus your taste buds will thank you!

Recommended restaurant in Paris for a surprise menu in the price range of 110.- Euro (+ 65 Euro for wine pairing) Food: They offer a surprise menu for a fixed price (no à la carte option is given), the only adjustment you can make is concerning your dietary restrictions. The different courses were all very well done, good combination of different taste (combining salty, fatty, acidic, etc.) in one plate on the different ingredients. Allowing you to "mix" your bites to your liking. The only "negative" feedback I can give is that some of the dished that were advertised as a full course to me seemed more like a in between course palate cleanser. But in the end it does not matter if it is advertised as a 7-course dinner or a 5-course dinner with 2 palate cleansers. Also I really appreciate the idea of the wine pairing. For every dish a new wine is presented but the amount will depend on your speed (they will refill your glass depending on your speed of drinking). The negative part, wine pairings can't be shared. Service: Great service, very friendly, courteous and helpful. The service and knowledge of the personnel fit the restaurant. Atmosphere: Very cute and small nicely furnished restaurant that can seat around 20 people.

Our 2nd to last dinner in Paris and the best experience we've had on our entire trip. At this small 10 table restaurant off the beaten path you have to: have reservations a month out and be somewhat adventurous because there is no menu whatsoever. If you have any food allergies you tell them and from that point on, you're off on a fantastic trip. You have no idea what you are going to be served. The menu changes by what is in season. All the dishes were out of the ordinary. The sauces, the presentation, the subtle flavors in each one were amazing and different. I won't try to describe each dish but we had ingredients from exotic mushrooms to quail, from fish ( pollock ? ) to fresh grapes & tomato. It's a 7 course menu but we counted at least 9. Expensive - yes - about 200 euro with the 4 wine tasting for both of us. Every table was taken and we can see why.

This restaurant is everything you heard and more! Delicious, warm , affordable, friendly and inviting, the staff in the kitchen and in the dining room really go above and beyond. When it comes to the food, of course the tasting is a surprise and you won't know what you're going to eat. But don't worry you will love the food and the wines paired with it. Everything was fresh , top quality, exciting to eat . We came here for our first anniversary and since we're foodies , we put even more pressure on the fact that the food on this special night must be great. This is what we ate and it was all damn good, we especially loved the brioche buns with compound butter , the amazing cod, the tomato salad and the milk fed lamb ! And surprisingly we were full after dinner ! Which is not always the case with a tasting menu. I've included labeled pictures.

Absolutely, hands down the best meal I have ever had. My wife and I booked this dinner for our anniversary and knew from the reviews that it would be good based on the reviews..... they didn't even come close to describing just how good. Dinner is a set menu, so each course is a surprise. The complex balance of flavors in each dish was incredible. Nothing was "good", nothing was "decent", every single course was amazing. This is definitely not one of those places that charges a fine dining price and doesn't deliver...... they overdelivered. If we ever make it back to Paris, we will definitely be going back.

Phenomenal food!

This is the best food I have had in Paris and one of the top 5 meals I have had in my entire life. You absolutely need to make reservations and go here. The food is impeccable. Wonderfully balanced flavors and textures will make your tastebuds dance. There wasn't a dish that wasn't absolutely perfect. Octopus was one of our courses, and I loved it (and I don't like octopus). The wine selection and wine pairings were also fabulous- these people know their grapes!! Like the food and wine, the service was impeccable. A trip to Paris to just go to Aspic is worth it- seriously. I can't wait to come back again!

OmG! So good and worth more than its current price tag! Make online reservations now if you are interested in : - Great food - Great Service - Great wine options Also one of the rare restaurants in paris that gives you adequate personal space when you are dining which enhances the experience even more!

Excellent service, excellent dishes, thank you to all the staff! We ended up doing the 8-course meal with the wine pairing, I could've swore we had nine dishes though. I'm not a dessert fan but that was one of the best parts.

Very good cooking and polite service. Unforgettable experience. There is a reason why this is currently rated #1 on Tripadvisor.

These smaller bistro type eateries are the lifeblood of the local cuisine. They consistently offer reasonably priced dishes that are full of flavor and technique. The wine and drink options are well catered to the menu and they provide options for most price points. The service we experienced was exactly what you want... our server had plenty of suggestions based on the offerings of the day. The service was attentive and responsive... not much more than you could ask for. I had the duck breast being offered... it was served alongside crispy potatoes, green beans, and a salad. Adding in the onion soup and a glass of wine... it quickly became a King's dinner at a very reasonable price. I would be more than happy to eat here again and look forward to exploring the rest of the menu offering many local and classic French options.

Like others have said, it's super small inside, so you'll get to know your neighbors really well. But your attention will be more focused on the food they bring out. I had the lamb with thyme sauce and my wife had the confit duck leg. Don't be afraid to pick the sauce of the day over the regular honey sauce. The sauce of the day on the day we went was a blackberry sauce which was crazy good. With a bottle of wine at 24 euros and both entrees under 20 euros, you couldn't really beat a meal of that quality in many places around Paris for that price. It was only after I ate at Le Potager did I see it had a bunch of great reviews on Yelp. It's definitely earned all those stars.

Making a reservation isn't hard but you do need to email them and there's no online booking system. You also have to confirm again 1-2 days before. I understand they are small with a limited number of tables so that's fair and it seemed like everyone showed up even though they don't require a deposit. On a Friday night, it didn't appear there was much chance or walking in although there were like 2 open seats at what would have been a shared table. The menu is small and includes some typical French starters, steaks, 3 non steak entrees, cheeses, and dessert. All steaks come with potatoes, 3 sauces, salad. Service was a highlight. The waiter was personable and funny, had solid recommendations, and made sure leftovers were taken home. Also had a solid wine recommendation after asking some questions. They probably get a lot of people who don't speak French and they had no problem speaking English. The food- ordered a ribeye medium rare. The steak was so so charred on the outside and it almost ruined the whole thing. I really wish they would have charred it way less especially when it was ordered medium rare. There is seared and then there is burnt; this was sadly the latter. The steak itself was fine, honestly nowhere near the best meat I have had but the price is quite reasonable for how much you get. I would say the steak was maybe 6/10 for me, largely due to the cooking. The fries were phenomenal. Definitely a highlight and really tasty and with a great texture. Salad was good, pretty typical. I wanted to like the sauces more but found them just okay. The best by far for me was the blue cheese sauce but even this one I thought the flavors could have popped a little more. Atmosphere was fun, there were a few bigger groups (6-8 which is the biggest they accommodate) but it never got unreasonably loud. Overall I wanted to love it but was a bit disappointed even though the service and fries were both great.

It's a tiny restaurant, so if you're a party of two, you might share a table with others, but they have spacers so you don't feel like you're eating together. Reservations were easy to make. You email in your requested sitting and someone will get back to you shortly. We were able to get in a little ahead of schedule and start the adventure. Wines were reasonably priced and they had a good variety of cocktails. We hadn't had French onion soup on our trip, so we ordered it as an appetizer. Sometimes it can get a little salty, but these were very well blended. Sacree Fleur seems to be known for their steak and frites, so we ordered the steak for two. Steak comes out on a sizzling platter. You can turn the pieces over to keep cooking until your preferred temperature. It was quite succulent and the fries were well prepared. There are two dipping sauces and some salt to season your meal. We hadn't a great time and way too much food :)

We were so looking forward to the frog legs, onion soup and other delicacies pictured. We got there and the sign was just as it was with the same name -- Au Pied du Sacre Coeur. We should've noticed something was wrong when no one was inside. When the waiter (lone person working along with cook) gave us the menu, my wife and I stared at each other completely confused. The menu looked nothing like the ones on this website and featured Italian food items, like spaghetti, arroz con pollo or mozarella. I asked him about frog legs or the onion soup. He looked confused and just said no. Out of respect for him, we just ordered the charcuterie, which featured stale bread and a few slices of meat taken from my local grocery store in the U.S. Also -- they claimed to not accept any international credit cards. WHAT HAPPENED? Are all these reviews fake? Most likely, they underwent new ownership right when we visited. But new visitors -- please beware. Do not trust any of the reviews before mine. The free Cote du Rhône glass was appreciated for check-in! Our server had his head permanently at a 30 degree angle, staring at his mobile. Tis a shame. But he was friendly ( oh, and easy on the eyes). I liked the quiet location out of the chaotic fray, like up the street, with all its smoking and volume. PS This is lover's type of location. Even the dark end of the small street feels illicit!
