After speaking with the owner, he addressed the issue immediately and personally took my wife and me out for an hour and a half private lesson. The difference was night and day. The instruction was detailed, efficient, and extremely productive. We learned more in that session than we expected, and it showed a real commitment to customer experience. The new owner clearly has a strong drive to make this place succeed, and it shows. Because of that, we'll be spending most of our weekends here moving forward. I've passed by this store numerous times, but for some reason I had never thought that they would sell firearms since there are probably only a handful of pawn shops in the area that do. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and went straight to the counter to take a look at the vast selection that they offered. There were plenty of new and used options but with everything from handguns and revolvers to over/under shotguns and .22 caliber plinking rifles. I'd say a good quarter of the store is dedicated to firearms and ammunition. I was assisted by Anthony, who was very friendly and knowledgable with the firearms that were in stock. We talked about various pieces that were on display, discussed some current gun laws and he even showed me a collectible Side-by-Side Double Barrel Shotgun/Rifle combo that the store has in its private collection. I ended up leaving empty handed, but my experience with Anthony was very pleasant and cordial. I can't really comment on the "Pawn Shop" aspect of the business. Just keep in mind that they are in the business of making money and their business plan is to buy low and sell high.
