I have been buying from pawn shops sense the early 60 back in Detroit. I have yet to figure out why all the pawn shops want so much for items forsale in California. It seems to be all of them.. In may instinces incidence they want more for an item than it cost new. Very little of any value in in the store. Guns, musical insterments and jewelery are in abundance which I never buy. The staff has changed through the years. The place was sold and bought back. No complaints on staff. I never pawn anyting. I have driven across the country a few hundred times going to my farm in Indiana and I find good things at good prices. What's up with Calfirnia. They shure don't have California Gold. LOL read more

While browsing Yelp for stores that sell Firearms, I was surprised to see that Redlands Pawn was listed as one! I've passed by this store numerous times, but for some reason I had never thought that they would sell firearms since there are probably only a handful of pawn shops in the area that do. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and went straight to the counter to take a look at the vast selection that they offered. There were plenty of new and used options but with everything from handguns and revolvers to over/under shotguns and .22 caliber plinking rifles. I'd say a good quarter of the store is dedicated to firearms and ammunition. I was assisted by Anthony, who was very friendly and knowledgable with the firearms that were in stock. We talked about various pieces that were on display, discussed some current gun laws and he even showed me a collectible Side-by-Side Double Barrel Shotgun/Rifle combo that the store has in its private collection. I ended up leaving empty handed, but my experience with Anthony was very pleasant and cordial. I can't really comment on the "Pawn Shop" aspect of the business. Just keep in mind that they are in the business of making money and their business plan is to buy low and sell high. read more

Those damn reviews "customers" left is what made me call and all were lies. Professionals would've said to come in so at least you can see their items but these fools are a joke. These guys are a joke. We had a verbal agreement through offer up to buy a Playstation 4. They messaged me asking if i was still interested and i gave confirmation, and let them know i was on my way. Less than half an hour later, 5 minutes before i arrived to their location i received a message informing me the item was sold. When i arrived the rep acted smug and did not even apologize. They wasted my time and gas. My advice to anyone is go anywhere else These guys have no customer service skills and clearly dont know how to conduct business. read more

Pretty large of a store with not too much to look at. Their inventory is constantly changing, however. They are licensed firearm dealers and the staff is courteous and patient with everyone. The store is very clean and neat. Despite having a small selection, the items they do have in stock are not trash and of good quality and condition. Recommend stopping in for a few minutes. Came here because they have a sign on a car that says they buy jewelry. They do....sorta. As with most pawn and jewelry stores these days, they ONLY want to buy gold or GIANT diamonds. I had a diamond, they wouldn't even look at it when I told them it wasn't so many carats (they want like 5+). I had a really nice gold ring with gems in it, and a gemstone bracelet they wouldn't make an offer on at all because they said they'd just melt it for gold and throw out the gemstones. :| I did end up selling a couple things, and they gave what seemed to me fair prices. The shop seems to mostly sell guitars and lawn mowers, but there were some Blu-ray dics and guns. That's about it. read more

Stopped by to check the firearms for sale. Found a great match for my giant palm. Picked up a Sig that my son liked to shoot with. Where they lost any future business was the price on the ammo. I offered to buy at their location if they matched the price I get at another gun shop. Not a pistol ammunition guy so I took them at their word on the ammo. If he offered the ammo at retail cost I would be willing to give them future business. My group shares deals and gouged with each other. I do not recommend this place for anyone buying guns or ammo. They lost a lot of future business over a quick $40. read more

He comes back and said "I can't even make an offer.." and continues to laugh.. I finally ask "What is so funny?" He says "he can't believe I paid for this" (still laughing).. They had a pretty decent selection of laptops and the guy that helped me at the end was pretty helpful and informative. Can't speak for much as that they sell here except they had a HUGE selection of different firearms. One thing I'll say about the Staff at Redlands Pawn...they have been fair with our transactions. I usually call prior to bringing in an item and they tell me over the phone if they are interested or not. They have universally kept their word on the amount they will pay for an item that I wish to get a loan on. Their prices on firearms are about as good as it gets, sometimes even beating online auctions. They have accepted my items for pawn when other shops refused them, many times. I don't really have anything negative to say. They are consistently fair. read more

I have been a customer at this pawn shop for over 7 yrs. The staff has ALWAYS been very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Mike, Angelo, and Anthony have always treated me with the utmost respect. While I have not been a pawn customer I have been a buyer. Their prices have always been fantastic especially on musical and sound equipment. I have bought several amps and a couple of keyboards here. FANTASTIC prices usually at wholesale but always way below average used price! The selection here is variable (obviously as they only can sell what comes in the door) on used gear, but they have a good assortment of firearms at good price point. I have been to other pawn shops in the I.E. , and that's why I always end up coming back to Redlands Pawn. I don't know what all the negative reviews are about, but understanding how a pawn shop works would probably give people a better understanding. They are only going to offer you usually 50% of what they can sell it for, ( check eBay or else where for used prices). read more

The d*cks that work there don't greet you as you as you walk through the door, rather they glare at you with a disconcerting contempt that is wholly obvious. We asked a question about a gun they had there, and the POS boss guy laughed condescendingly at us, didn't even answer the question, and walked to the back room. I came to this store with my family to take the Firearm Safety Certificate and our Instructor Anthony was very professional and very helpful. My son and I after we passed the test with one mistake we were then well instructed about the correct answer. Then we decided to buy a fantastic shot-gun and a revolver. What was remarkable was the personal attention from Anthony to each of us and all the tips we received regarding guns, safety and operations, it was a free class of approximately 3 hours. Did not push a sell, very professional and respectful in our experience. My son and I are very grateful to Anthony for the time he took, the patience he showed us and for the class operation use of guns we took. We feel we learned a lot since these are our first guns we ever bought, very new to this industry and culture and I have a strong feeling that it will also be very addictive. A big thanks to the nice Lady from the jewelry department too, she was most kind and professional. Overall my experience was great and I appreciate this team. read more

Good luck. I lost $200 on a Sony PS4 there. The guy was not honest said the console worked when in fact it does not. It overheats & fans run loud causes smells of burning throughout the house. Won't play a game for more than 5 minutes, and won't download one game before overheating. The young man who plugged it in heard that it was running so loud, when I questioned what's wrong with it Why is it running so loud? He said it's downloading the disc or updating or something like that. After 5-10 min of it screaming so loud in the store the guy said it's downloading then he unplugged it & turned it off. And we took it home for the next 2 weeks we tried to download or play a game on it with no luck. We googled it & ordered a cooling fan and a new fan. It still never worked. Make sure if you buy something here that you know that it works. Because they didn't warn me that this PS4 was defective. read more

I've done business with this pawn shop numerous times for a few years now and I've never been disappointed with their service. In fact, they've always treated me very well. Every time I walk in the door someone greets me and pretty much lets me roam the store until I need help with something, which is what I like. If I need help or have a question they're always happy to answer it or give me assistance. I don't want someone breathing down my neck trying make me buy something. Its a pawn shop. There is nothing wrong with this place in the least , in fact if you want the opinion of someone who has been around (pawning my own stuff , not stealing) , then this place is the most legit in the San Bernardino region i see all these crappy reviews for this place where I MYSELF have been treated with the upmost repect and i have witnessed them treat others alike lmao and folks im far from a high roller. So im thinking to myself it's gotta be either you people that left crappy reviews must of tried to bring them hot equipment , or you just weren't trying to understand that the shop has to make they're money on the transaction as well. I said the other man quoted in troy ounce. He said they all did it different. When I went home, I used an online calculator and he had given me only $4 an ounce on my loan. read more

BEWARE - TERRIABLE PLACE!!!! I went in today to see how much I could get for 10 grams of 10K gold. The girl who I was talking with seemed nice, but when she offered me only $80.00 for it I questioned her about it. I know how much 10kt gold goes for by ounce. All you have to do is divide the ounce cost by approx. 31 and you will get your answer per gram. But beware! They do not use a standard ounce at approx. 28 grams per ounce they use the TROY OUNCE figure, which is approx. 31 grams. So you need to do your math using the troy ounce. No back to where I was, at this point one of the Managers stepped in and tried to explain it to me a different way, I questioned him again and he told me I was arguing with him and to go somewhere else. What a jerk!! They offered me only $60.00 for it. So I left and went right down the street to a gold broker and I was offered double my money! They gave me a $120.00 for the gold. A much better price. This was almost exactly what I thought I would get. Remember most gold buyers only take 20-30 percent, at most. But you will find people like this that will try and rip you off!! Again this is a terrible place!! Do not be conned into selling anything there. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF BLIND!!!! NO JOKE!! read more
