I read google reviews on this business, & decided to visit Redlands. I learned they are a family owned business. The warmth they show & intellect wisdom of jewelry is impressive. I have been a dedicated customer to our LA jewelers for over 3 decades but decided to make a visit to this local store. George was very accommodating to my many questions & willing to spend almost 2 hours dedicating different ideas to what I like. He was very patient & willing to give suggestions with honesty. I did not intend to make a purchase but inquire. His son was very kind to a phone call & seemed genuine when talking to the customers. They worked with others walk-ins while I decided on my final choice. George & his son then took more time to customize the ring for me. A price was given & seemed very fair. He mentioned years ago, he was located a block from my jeweler, so I was confident he has been in the business for along time. He & my husband chatted about Turkish coffee too! Overall my experience was top notch & will highly recommend take a look at what they have to offer. Can't wait to see the beauty they will design for me! Absolutely terrible experience. I brought in my watch to sell, and instead of dealing with someone knowledgeable, I was immediately told it was "fake" by staff who clearly had no idea what they were talking about. What makes it worse is that I later took the same watch to Time To Repair where it was inspected and confirmed to be 100% genuine. So either this place lacks basic watch knowledge or they intentionally lowball customers by falsely claiming authentic watches are fake. If you're dealing with luxury watches, you'd expect professionalism and expertise not careless assumptions from people who can't properly authenticate a timepiece. I went in to have some items (3) appraised and sell. I ended up selling the items and decided to get a price on a 4th piece. Something just didn't feel right and I wanted a 2nd opinion on the 4th item. Next day I was going to be in LA and decided to stop by DTLA - jewelry district. I went in to sell my gold jewelry and I was given a very good price. Don't hesitate to sell your jewelry here. They test it in front of you and explain everything. They even were patient with me while I deliberated on some nostalgic pieces. I asked if they could remove a stone so I could keep it and Ronnie made it happen. It was was even glued in! I didn't mind letting go of the band, but losing the stone was sadder for me. They explained it's not always possible to do that, but I'm glad it worked out this time. My daughter and her husband went there to get her ring sized. She just had a baby so her ring was too tight. The lady brought her to tears, pretty much called her fat 2x . Today is my daughter's wedding anniversary, she totally embarrassed her, ruined her day. My daughter was so upset. I called the lady to let her know how she hurt her feelings and embarrassed her! I recently purchased a lovely little ring for myself. I originally visited the store to discuss resizing a wide band wedding ring, which was not recommended by the knowledgeable and polite staff. I also brought in an heirloom ring to have it reappraised. The young man took the time to look it over for me at no charge. As we were chatting, I had a chance to look at the beautiful inventory. This little blue number caught my attention. After a few minutes of admiring it, I decided to buy it! The ring was resized just for me and I picked it up about a day & a half later. It's perfect.
