I have to say I went into this Kay's a couple weeks ago the 2 gentlemen that were there were great. Very nice, very helpful and very attentive. I found and had a band added to a ring. We received a call the ring was done. Unfortunately when I went back 2 women that were there that had zero customer service. Not a hello, how are you, nothing. I handed her the slips again she said nothing. She took them, went too the back for the ring came back and said she needed to take a picture under the microscope (why wasn't that already done) she then walked to the other end of the counter and took a picture with her iPad she had in her hand. Came back cleaned the iPad took pictures of the receipts, turned her iPad around for me to sign again said nothing to me. Scanned the slip again I think took another picture of the ring and needed me to sign again. No words from her. She finally handed me my ring and started to walk away. I asked if I get the slips back she said no they were theirs. I asked for a box for my ring and we left. After I got home I got a text that said my ring was ready for pick up???? I have always gotten my jewelry at Kay's but sadly I will never return to this location. read more

Even though neither store had what I was looking for. The associate at this location, wasn't helpful with pointing me in another direction, or revealing that they do have a book where they can make special orders from their jewelry vendors. I spent over $11k for a weeding ring. Even after it being sent back 3 times to get it sized right, it still came back to big. We asked for it to be a size 5 and they couldn't seem to get it right. Then the employee tried to argue with my fiancée that it was a size 5 so she told him to put it on the sizing post. Only after that did he agree it wasn't a size 5. We were told different things by different employees. Just a bad experience. Unfortunately we have to continue to go there since we have the insurance but I definitely won't be purchasing from them again. read more

Sent my new ring out to be sized. They quoted me 1-2 weeks max. It took 3 weeks and nobody would call to update me so I had to keep calling them. I worked yesterday and it was ready so my husband picked it up. He put it in the jewelry box for me and it was untouched until I got home and went to put it on today. There is a whole Diamond missing. So you're telling me I waited 3 weeks to get my ring back with a Diamond stolen from it? Absolutely ridiculous. I doubt they'll offer to do anything and even if they do, I don't trust them with another ring or another maintenance! I want my money back and I'm never shopping at Kay's again. My fiancé and I stopped by to look at ring enhancers. We understood because of covid we had to wait outside until a customer or two left. What we did NOT understand was why no one even acknowledged us for the 10-15 min we stood there with only two customers inside. We left. This was not Ideal and awful customer service. This Kay Jewlers in Mountain Grove has shown the most incomparable customer service I have ever witnessed. After giving a Movado watch to my boyfriend for Christmas the spring on one side of the watch randomly began to pop out causing the watch to fall off of his arm on multiple occasions, eventually causing a chip in the glass. I decided to take it to this jewelry store because we have been long time customers. We dropped off the watch on 6/6 and we're told someone would contact us in the next week for an estimate. Two weeks later I reached out after hearing nothing from the store. We were told that they were still trying to obtain a price. A week later and still nothing so I again contacted them, only to be told another week later, that the total price would be $340 and would not be covered by a warranty even if one had paid for one. So we decided that we didn't want to get the Movado fixed and we're told it would take a week to receive it back in store. My boyfriend and I waited another month and still not a single person from this store including the manager (Dustin) did not notify us of what was going on. I called multiple times once again and was told every single time that they would call the department and would reach out to me. I was not able to pick up the watch until yesterday the 28th of July, even when I was originally told and emailed a time frame of a month for the watch to be fixed. So on the bed the watch wasn't fixed, not a single employee was helpful and a large amount of time was wasted on our part. I am extremely disappointed with this store, not a single employee notifying us throughout the entire process, the incapability of a truthful answer of what's going on not to mention an outrageous price for a problem that realistically is a manufactures default. They have lost our business after so many years and it's sad to say that they probably don't even care. Shout out to Movado for giving us a fixing price of $120 for the watch strap and glass after explaining the horrible situation we had to deal with with the Kay Jewlers at the Mountain Grove Plaza. read more

I am honestly not a fan of this Kay Jewelers location. I came here with my husband to size a rather expensive diamond ring my husband bought me for our anniversary. The gentleman who was helping did not know what he was doing at the register. He couldn't find my husbands account and was taking such a long time. We had the baby at home and my husband had to go while I stayed to finish up. The guy at the register wouldn't let my husband go. We let him know he had to go to take care of the baby and that he had things to do. He kept asking my husband the same questions over and over again and just couldn't find his account due to an error on his end. He then started doing other things instead of helping us...we were so confused. Finally, one of the older guys working there saw that we were getting frustrated and stepped in really quick to help us out. I ended up just returning the ring because of how annoyed I was. I waited 20 days to get the ring in the first place and it would be another 2 weeks to get it sized. I was so over it. I also wanted to get my wedding ring and band sized as well however, due to the lack of expertise the young man had at the register I decided to not even bother and will take it elsewhere. They should hire people who know what they're doing. This is a new location and I expected way more out of this store. I doubt they'll make it long here. Good luck. read more

This Location always takes great care of us. I just went in there on 7-7-19 to get new batteries for both of my watches. Cause they had stopped ticking. The worker explained to me that one of my watches is solar powered which we had no Idea. And within minutes it started ticking again. He informed me to not let the watch be stored in complete darkness. And with my other watch my warranty had expired so I couldn't receive a free new battery. It was always such a fun time to shop here, but in Redlands, the sales people act like they have no clue who you are, even when you go in regularly for cleanings, or were just in 4 days earlier. Now when we shop, they act like there is nothing they can do for us. One manager told me my ring would be ok to exchange and the next day, the workers can't find my account. My ring with a warranty there keeps coming back from their repair center looking terrible. It failed the quality inspection, and when I got a chance to see it after 4 weeks when it passed the inspection, I was furious. The prongs were all different sizes and colors and the diamonds did not even fit into the settings properly. I am so upset that my diamond ring became a chore instead of a beautiful piece I could give my daughter. I would like to also point out that this issue happens every 6 months. I'm not kidding- it feels like I'm stuck in a time loop, yet the people who work there act like it's totally perplexing? Really? So frustrating. I would like to thank Xotchil at the Redlands location for being knowledgeable and service oriented. She was able to treat me very well and honor the return policy on a warranty item. I took my Bulova watch in for a new battery. This was purchased at a different Kay Jewelers store. The woman who worked there said she isn't good at battery placement and the man who works there said he could do it, no problem. He was taking a little bit of time so I could wandering around Kay's. Eventually he asked if I had more shopping to do and I said yes. He asked for my phone number and told me they would call me when it was ready done. Some time passed and I was tired of walking around shopping just to burn time. I went into Kay's and the man said he was unable to replace the back of my watch blaming the screws for being too short. The back of the watch was intact and untampered with prior to him touching it. I was told that they would give me the new battery, but they could not replace the back of my watch so I could actually wear it. I told them that this is it my problem they shouldn't have taken a job they couldn't do it. They offered to send it to the manufacture, but at my expense. I took it to a local jeweler, and it was her belief that these were not the original screws and that Kay's must've lost one or broke it and tried to replace it with these shorter screws. I purchased this watch from a Kay's, and I cannot believe the poor customer service that I received. This is completely inconvenient and now I'm in search of someone who can fix my favorite watch for me. *Update* I've since taken this watch to 3 jewelers/watch repair places and all say that the screws to the watch weren't the original and suggested the Kay employee didn't give me the correct screws back after stripping the other ones or losing them, etc. I'm pissed because no one has the right size screw and someone wasn't honest at Kay's over what happened. I sent my watch to an authorized Bulova repair shop and they're trying to charge me a small fortune. I have bought many expensive pieces from various Kay's including this watch and over $7k in wedding/engagement rings, and 2 other pieces. I WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DOLLAR AT KAY'S AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE and no craps given by Kay's. BUYER BEWARE! (Also, I wouldn't buy Bulova. There is only one authorized retailer outside of sending it to New York and they can charge whatever they want because you don't have another option when someone else messes up your watch screws). read more

Not happy! My fiancé bought my engagement ring here last December. Making my inspections fall every July and December. Seeing that the parking lot/shopping center is a mad house during the Christmas season, I decided to wait a couple days after Christmas to get my inspection. On December 27th, I checked the store hours online, 10:00am! So at 10:05 I was at the store. They were closed! With no signs posted for holiday hours, I was confused. So I proceeded to get other shopping in, then went back! 10:35 still closed! My one day to get this done before the new year, and no one around to help. After calling to see if I can come the next Tuesday, January 2nd, and get my inspection, Marcus informed me I could, but if I was missing a diamond I would have to replace it myself because I missed my inspection. I took my wedding ring in for work. I had my paper work stating that the ring has "Lifetime" warranty on the setting. The center stone broke off with the prong attached. The three employees there acted as if I was trying to defraud them. They were commenting amongst themselves that they cannot honor the warranty because it's too old. They continued walking around calling who knows who? After a good five to ten minutes I decided even if they were to "honor" the waranty I would not leave my ring with them for repair.
