He was genuinely excited that my firearm was allowing to be released to me. FYI: he's got all 411 on ARs! When I went in, the vibe was incredibly warm and welcoming. Phone services is good. They have good variety but God are they ever open? Came twice and the are closed. They don't open till 11? Ok? And not open on Mondays ? What is this a barber ? Never heard of these guys until someone from Calguns wanted them to do an ammo transfer for us. They don't charge for it! (Oh the $1 background check they do take btw, but not the 30-50 that some stores charge. ) Who does that these days! Well, these guys do. I just recently purchased ammo, and my wallet got stolen. They stored the ammo till I got my new cards in and promptly did the transfer afterwards. Great customer service, and would definitely reccmmend them as your ffl of choice. Can't say enough good about this store and the staff. Trish and Todd the owners are top notch. Friendly and helpful. Todd found spent time finding the exact red dot for my Sig and Trishc took care of all the paperwork. The gun I wanted was on consignment, and before paying I asked Todd if he had shot it. He had not, but offered to put a few rounds through it and call me the following day. Which IMHO is pretty cool and a great business strategy for guns on consignment. Which makes me feel comfortable that the owners are behind what the sell. And have firsthand knowledge of their merchandise. I also dropped some money and a sales associate picked it up and handed it to me. So needless to say I'm a huge Blue Collar fan these days. Customer service is a big deal to me, and BCFA has it mastered. No pressure sales, and everyone takes the time to answer your questions. Prices are fair and they have a fantastic selection, especially with regards to PPT. Several guns that aren't on the California roster. And yes they are a little more $. But being a citizen in California comes with so many 2nd amendment restrictions, its a small price to pay to get exactly what you want and have been looking for. Little known secret: BCF doesn't charge a FFL fee for transferring ammo (in) on your behalf. For context, I called a half-dozen firearm/ammo shops in the IE and prices were everything from $75 per transaction to "We don't do that", with BCF clearly being the winner. I had some very hard to find stuff shipped in from a private seller in FL (not even a FFL himself) to BCF and it went perfectly. Three things to keep in mind: 1) The buyer has to track the ammo inbound to BCF and come pick it up when it arrives. They will not call you, think of it like having a PO Box and waiting for a package to arrive. - They did check my ID against the mailing label/invoice though. 2) If there isn't an invoice in the box showing that you paid taxes on the ammo in the origin state- including CA- they have to charge you CA sales tax. 3) I post this for the benefit of others given how big of a hassle it was for me to find a FFL that would work with my seller, much less a unicorn like BCF who charges no fee at all. FOR ANYONE WANTING TO USE THIS SERVICE AT BCF: Don't F it up for the rest of us by having a pallet of ammo shipped to them. Be respectful, ship reasonable quantities in and be nice when you pick it up. These guys were very cool during the transaction and are obviously secret heroes charging $0.00 for something another shop wants $75 And while you're there, maybe buy something from them! Thanks again BCF! 2020 edit: You'll now have to pay the $1 DROS fee when picking up ammo, but you'd have to pay that anywhere. read more

I find that at certain gun shops if you're not an experienced gun user they can make you feel pretty out of place. Not here, everyone is welcome and the energy is great. I told him I knew very little about what I was looking for and didn't really know what I wanted or needed. He answered all my questions and was very patient.
