We loved how crunchy the dynamite roll was. I loved my hibachi proteins; they were better and a lot larger portions than dedicated hibachi places. Everything was cooked great; the shrimp and tofu had a nice, semi crunchy sear on them, and the veggies and chicken were also flavorful and tender. The fried rice was ok; I didn't notice any egg. The food was ready super quick; I was very impressed how fast they got it all out (5/5). The interior is clean and simple (4/5). Overall, for a fast casual place, this is hard to beat!

Got the grilled chicken & steak, which was solid. The grilled chicken had a great char flavor, while the steak tasted like something you'd eat at a hibachi restaurant. The fried rice wasn't oily or dry, best part was how's the portion was. Got a side of 6 piece gyoza which was meat and vegetable filled; that was also non oily and fried just right. Took about 7-8 minutes for the order to come out which was a fast then around. Plenty of room for dining & facilities were pretty clean. They also have other menu items like bubble teas and ramen. Definitely a diverse menu, will certainly be back.

My husband tried to warn me about Anshu and I thought he was overreacting but I should've listened!…read moreHe's been a few times and said their food is bland, flavorless, despite seeming as though it would be full of flavor. It's in a quiet neighborhood bordering a pretty bougie living community so I shouldn't have been surprised at the blandness but I was. I got chicken fried rice I think and it was truly so bland and there were no offered flavor enhancers like soy sauce. It was ok but absolutely not worth the cost. The service was very friendly and the overall restaurant vibes were unoffensive to the point that they barely had any decorations up. Just a bland atmosphere overall. I wish I could've liked it but it was disappointing. I can make better Asian fusion in my home kitchen and save a lot of money next time.

I'm vegan so I can't speak about how good the non-vegan food is here. Normally I'm wary about…read moreeating vegan food at non-vegan restaurants, but I noticed that they have written on the menu something that says they can make most dishes vegetarian or vegan.... Because of this I felt reasonably confident that they understood what "vegan" means and would be able to accommodate me. Well things didn't start out great as we asked our server about vegan options and they didn't seem to know what could be made vegan. We asked about the "wok favorites" on the menu (you can choose marinated tofu as an option) and were told after we ordered that the marinated tofu could not be made vegan. So about half the menu we'd been eyeing was not available for us at that point. I ordered a noodle dish with plain tofu (the only vegan protein available). I made it clear that I would like the dish to be vegan and it came out made with eggs. They remade it for me, but it just wasn't good. Wasn't good before they remade it when I took a bite and realized it had egg and wasn't good when it was remade. The noodles were way over cooked and slimy and the flavor wasn't great. Disappointed with this place in every way and would not return. And on top of everything else it's way too expensive for the quality of food.

The food still felt authentic and full of true Hawaiian flavor. Coming from a family with roots in the Big Island and Maui, I can appreciate when a place captures that genuine island-style taste and atmosphere. One thing that really stood out was how they start you off with fresh in-house made pork rinds, similar to how Mexican restaurants serve chips and salsa when you sit down. It was a unique and welcoming touch. We ordered the spicy poke, Spam musubis, and a mixed BBQ plate with two scoops of mac salad. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The mac salad especially had that classic island-style taste that's hard to find done right. The staff was friendly, the decor looked great, and the restaurant had a warm, inviting feel. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for authentic Hawaiian comfort food.

It had that perfect char on the outside while staying incredibly flavorful and moist inside. Definitely the star of the meal. The chicken was just as impressive. Well-seasoned. Perfectly cooked. Every bite was tender with a hint of sweetness and that signature Hawaiian-style barbecue flavor that keeps you coming back for more. Don't overlook the rice. Soft. Moist. Buttery. It soaked up every bit of flavor from the meats and tied the whole plate together. Simple, but done exactly right. The restaurant was busy, which speaks to how popular it is. The staff looked a little overwhelmed during the rush, and you could tell an extra set of hands would've helped. Even so, everyone remained friendly, worked hard, and never let the quality of the food slip. If you're willing to be a little patient during peak hours, you'll be rewarded with a meal that's absolutely worth the wait. It's giving... the kitchen clocked in while the dining room was playing catch-up.
