So disappointed as Asian Mint use to be so good! Door Dashed steamed dumplings that had not been steamed... Nothing like taking a big bite of raw ground chicken.... Beef fried rice was good. We had shishito peppers, tulip dumplings, coconut soup, and teriyaki chicken. The peppers were blistered perfectly but had very little taste. The tulip dumplings were wonderful! Lots of filling of chicken, pork and vegetables! The coconut soup was lacking. The broth needed more flavor but the chicken was very tender. The teriyaki chicken was superb! I have been coming to Asian mint for years and I'm so glad the location in Addison opened because the service is much better. I just left this forest lane location due to lack of service. I sat at the bar 5 mins before anyone attempted to take my order or speak. This is not my first experience with their poor service. Quality of the food is great but the waiters seem to not particularly enjoy being there and there's no urgency to serve the customer. Still dreaming of our Chef Mint Kit from Asian Mint!! We loved it so much, the leftovers were even amazing!! Our make-at-home kit of Asian Mint's Chicken Tom Yum Soup + Chicken/Shrimp/Tofu Pad Thai was probably the most delicious at home Thai experience I've ever had and created myself!! The kit was super easy to follow along with a breakdown recipe/instructions card. My husband and I were so thrilled to be able to make Thai food at home! The kit was $40 + tax and includes one app (soup) plus and entree that feeds two adults! Such a steal, especially because you are given an experience to keep busy during this COVID madness. First and foremost, the soup. This Tom Yum Soup was created with an aroma of Thai spices, our entire apartment lit up with the fresh scent of chili sauce and peppers. I was fighting an itch in my throat and eating the soup cleared everything up! It was SO yummy. I'm still craving it days later! The chicken pad Thai was filled with tasty, savory noodles, peppers, more protein, and more spices! Dare I say it's the best pad Thai I've had since visiting Thailand 3 years ago!! I only got desserts. I got the green tea ice cream cake and caramel cashew cheesecake. My favorite was the cheesecake. They also had strawberries too. It was delicious. The green tea one was my friend's favorite. It definitely has the green tea taste and it's a little bit sweet. My daughter and her fiancée really enjoy Korean cuisine and recommended we try Asian Mint (Forest and 75). While there were highlights, there were several disappointments. Online ordering is fast and easy. Curbside pick-up is an option! I received a text message the food was ready at the exact minute they had estimated. So far so great. It would be nice when ordering if you could select a spice temperature rather than remembering to add it to the comments section with text. The original Pad Thai was very good (chicken and tofu with beef), but the Pad See Lew with the wide rice noodle was excellent. The only issue we had with the Pad See Lew is that we requested "spice level 1" and it came out much hotter; really too hot for my wife to enjoy. The Grilled Teriyaki Salmon was a big disappointment. It was way over cooked, dry, and tasteless. If I was in the restaurant, I would have sent it back - something I rarely do. The accompanying sticky rice and vegetables that came with the salmon were perfectly cooked, however. The biggest disappointment was the Spicy Tom Yum soup. We had a bowl with chicken and a cup of the soup with shrimp. Both were pretty tasteless. Sort of like weak bullion without much flavor and we poured out most of it. For us Asia Mint was just too inconsistent - at least at this location (probably a 2.5 rating). read more

My drink was never empty, as soon as I put down my menu- someone was there to take my order, and everyone was so friendly! Was disappointed in the noodle texture of my original pad thai ($15) because the noodles were all broken into small pieces and were kind of a mushy texture (maybe overcooked or too much water?). It was nice that the dish automatically comes with shrimp, chicken and tofu. The chicken was too dry, but the tofu tasted great. The service was very friendly, and the menu has a lot of options which is great for a group and/or people with dietary restrictions. This was my first time visiting Asian Mint in Dallas. The environment was nice, and everything was going well until I found a long strand of hair in my food while cutting it up. I was shocked, especially since I had already taken a bite before noticing the hair. The owner and staff were apologetic and offered to replace the dish. Since I was on a lunch break with a colleague, I decided to order something completely different. What surprised me was that even though the owner offered a different meal, it wasn't free or even discounted despite the issue with my first meal. I was left wondering what would have happened if I didn't want to order anything else--would I still have had to pay for a meal that was contaminated? This was my first experience at Asian Mint, and unfortunately, it wasn't a pleasant one. I'm not sure if I'll be returning. read more

Having many dishes on the menu that hint of being Thai (Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, Thai Tea), I thought I would be receiving a Thai flavored fried rice dish like every other Thai or Asian restaurant that serves Thai food. But, I was extremely mistaken. Absolutely no hint or flavor related to any type of Thai fried rice. But, I must remember the title of the dish is House Fried Rice, not Thai Fried Rice. How true to the title is the restaurant! The fried rice was quite flavorless. Without the onions, tomatoes and green onion, it would have been awful. This was the worst rice from any Asian restaurant I have dined in for over 30 years hands down. That includes countless asian Thai/restaurants in DFW, LA, San Francisco, Orlando, and other cities in between. Their non-rice dishes may be good according to other reviews, but based on their inability to produce a fairly simple rice dish, it makes me hesitant to spend my money on any of their other offerings. read more

We started with the shrimp Rangoon (a fantastic twist on crab rangoon) and the fresh shrimp rolls (perfectly made peanut dipping sauce). We then had our own buffet of fried soft shell crab w crabfried rice (THE BEST dish of them all), ginger chicken, chicken and shrimp basil, and shrimp with glass noodles (all of which were excellent). I ordered for take out. I was ready to get home and get out of the weather. I gave it three star rating, it was not because of the taste of the food it was good but what I found in the food. There seems to have been a piece of plastic bag I was chewing on before a minute before removing it from my mouth. If it weren't for the that I am sure I would have given it a 5 stars. I really like Asian Mint. The space is cool and comfortable. The service is excellent. And the food is as good as anywhere else you might go. However I will point out why I'm not giving 5 stars. For one, some of the veggies in my dish were not hot. Maybe just warm at best. OTOH, the glass noddles were too hot to eat, which is a good thing. But that highlighted the lack of heat in the veggies. And for another, whenever I order a dish as "veggie" only, as in "no protein", I expect additional veggies to take the place of the protein. This did not happen, even though I asked about it when I ordered and was told "yes, it will have additional veggies" and even naming them- carrots, broccoli, etc.... I will say this is common everywhere I go. And it needs to be corrected. Other than that, I love this place! read more

I have enjoyed several lunches here (I work nearby), and the quick service allows me to come in, grab a yummy bite, and head out. My family and I have tried the calamari, several fried rice and noodle dishes, pad Thai, Thai tea, and a few different rolls of sushi. The food all tasted pretty good and came out quickly. I did take one star off because of one encounter we had where they served my family member something she was allergic to (that she had previously requested be left out due to food allergy).
