For our most recent project, we had another person refinish our entry, powder room, hall and kitchen floors about 6 months ago that did an extremely poor job - uneven stain, waves and gouges sanded into the floor, dull finish and raised wood grain making the floor very rough. Mike Jones Floor Company were quick, efficient and did an outstanding job. They repaired all of the issues left from the previous refinish job. And the process was virtually dustless! I would highly recommend to anyone looking to get their wood floors refinished and would use again without question.

We had contacted Molynaeux and Romano Floors for a quote on whole house carpet replacement and…read moreflooring to be put into our dining room. We had gotten a quote on carpet and LVP from Molynaeux first and had gotten the second quote from Romanos a few days later. Same carpet as what we selected at Molynaeux and a better quality flooring than Molynaeux in a color that we loved. The owner came out all the way from Plum/Penn Hills area to Wexford to measure everything and had given us a few sample options based on what we had told the receptionist we were looking for. He didn't pressure us into going with one brand over another. He brought the same carpet option we wanted from the other place and a couple others that were going to be durable for a baby and dog living in the home. We looked at the samples while he walked around and took measurements. He had sketched a rough floor plan with dimensions of each room where as Molynaeux just used their phone to measure and enter dimensions. We had selected a nicer option or the LVP flooring than what we picked at the other place and we were told that it was actually a little nicer than some of the other options because it was thicker. He assured us with our size dining room that going with something a little nicer wasn't going to add more than a hundred or two onto our total bill. When we received our quote, they were about 1.5k less than Molynaeux. We weren't nickel and dimed for removal or padding that we were at the other place. We pulled the trigger and got scheduled out to do the carpet. Two of their workers came by at 5-6am on the start day and had almost all the original carpet pulled up and the new padding out down. I think they were down in less than a day and a half. For two older gentleman, they were quick and they were clean and professional. Better than the staff that we would have had at our home had we went with Molynaeux. I already plan to use these guys again when we decide to replace the tile in our kitchen and bathrooms with the same LVP we got in our dining room. I couldn't recommend a better company and I'm glad we went with a small owned business over a large chain with terribly unprofessional customer service.

I was a little particular about the floor color because it was the first floor I could actually pick the color, for the most part. Our beautiful oak floors were amazing once they were sanded and stripped and I wanted to keep them as close to original as possible; which isn't. Jim went out of his way to apply samples more than once, to have a phone conversation with me about the differences in water and oil based products and to find the product I wanted all the way in Cleveland. Now this man has some pull... the supplier drove it to him when the Fedex deadline was missed, just so I could have my floors finished on time! Now that is service. His prices were excellent and mother nature dealt us a blow on the expected start date, but he finished in the week he said he would, was very communicative and kind and really helped me understand a bit more of the process. He also worked with us on the new cost of the stain since I changed it up a bit. Jim, many thanks to you, I love my floors and very happy I picked the semi-gloss. I can't wait to be done with the remodel so I can clean them and have them nice and shiny again. I will always recommend them.

I had many many repair trips to fix sloppy tile work, amongst other things. Within one year of installation of the carpet, it got ridiculously loose and buckled in multiple rooms. It has separated in different areas where you can see a gap in the pad. I'm well past the warranty at this point, but it was noted on my punch list (6 years ago) and they told me I could have it repaired in the future. Well, it's the future (present actually, ha), and they have ignored my repair requests, even though everything was properly documented. Lastly, I was going to pay them for some other repairs, like tile that my kids broke, and they ignored that too. So now, it's going to cost me a few hundred dollars to fix the AWFUL install job that they never did correctly, and they've earned this review
