I am a researcher by nature and decided my best option would be LVP. I searched online and went to one other showroom and just didn't care for anything I saw. I went to Home Depot and Lowe's and nothing. I already have oak in the rest of my house and didn't want a wood look so that eliminated probably half the tile designs I looked at. I was becoming discouraged. At Virgin, the woman I worked with first brought out a brand new design they had just gotten in and it was love at first sight. my the color(s) was a pinkish, tannish color that looked like windblown sand. I think the name was Pink Onyx or something like that. All of people I worked with from the women in the showroom to through the installers could not have been nicer ... over the coming months! I fooled around with getting this floor for several months because I had two other projects that it only made sense to do first. Each time I went to Virgin, they never pressured me or had an attitude because I took so long before I made a commitment. I would like to call out all the various people and the parts they played but, honestly, each and everyone went above and beyond to make sure I was completely happy with the end result. This included having a new subfloor and leveling agent all the way to quarter round and even a little inventiveness where the quarter round couldn't be used but something was still needed to make the job look totally "finished". I had actually given him 4 stars because of the quality of the work, deducting one because of the hose length situation. I don't know on which planet a 4 star review is a bad one, but yeah. He was *really* upset, claiming that nothing I had said about the hose situation ever happened because the bulk of his business was actually apartment buildings and hotels, so *of course* he had had plenty of hose. We had contacted Molynaeux and Romano Floors for a quote on whole house carpet replacement and…read moreflooring to be put into our dining room. We had gotten a quote on carpet and LVP from Molynaeux first and had gotten the second quote from Romanos a few days later. Same carpet as what we selected at Molynaeux and a better quality flooring than Molynaeux in a color that we loved. The owner came out all the way from Plum/Penn Hills area to Wexford to measure everything and had given us a few sample options based on what we had told the receptionist we were looking for. He didn't pressure us into going with one brand over another. He brought the same carpet option we wanted from the other place and a couple others that were going to be durable for a baby and dog living in the home. We looked at the samples while he walked around and took measurements. He had sketched a rough floor plan with dimensions of each room where as Molynaeux just used their phone to measure and enter dimensions. We had selected a nicer option or the LVP flooring than what we picked at the other place and we were told that it was actually a little nicer than some of the other options because it was thicker. He assured us with our size dining room that going with something a little nicer wasn't going to add more than a hundred or two onto our total bill. When we received our quote, they were about 1.5k less than Molynaeux. We weren't nickel and dimed for removal or padding that we were at the other place. We pulled the trigger and got scheduled out to do the carpet. Two of their workers came by at 5-6am on the start day and had almost all the original carpet pulled up and the new padding out down. I think they were down in less than a day and a half. For two older gentleman, they were quick and they were clean and professional. Better than the staff that we would have had at our home had we went with Molynaeux. I already plan to use these guys again when we decide to replace the tile in our kitchen and bathrooms with the same LVP we got in our dining room. I couldn't recommend a better company and I'm glad we went with a small owned business over a large chain with terribly unprofessional customer service.

We have had Brooks do several floors in our house now and are very happy with his work! (Details on…read morethe projects below.) Brooks is a perfectionist who does beautiful and meticulous work. He does all the work himself so you know you can trust the project will be done well. He is also easy to work with, reliable, and charges very reasonable rates. We will definitely be hiring Brooks again for other floor projects in our house! We recently bought an old home in Pittsburgh (built in 1895) and have had Brooks rehab and refinish the floors in several rooms so far. He was able to hand sand and remove stains on the original parquet floor in the dining room which other floor specialists told us would not come out. When we bought the house, the landing of the staircase was unstained oak while the stairs and surrounding wainscoting were stained dark. Brooks was able to stain the landing to match the wood around it with exceptional precision. He was also able to disguise a few very unfortunate gouges in our living room floor that were made by the movers (we had JUST had Brooks redo this floor prior to moving in so were very disappointed about the damage caused by the movers). We were very happy Brooks could fix it!
