On the day of installation, only one contractor arrives at 10am and quotes that he will complete the work alone by 5pm. With only one laborer working 7hrs, the estimated labor rate was near $200-250/hr, though the sales rep was disrespectful over the phone and would not provide further details to itemize the bill. Rite Rug cares more about their margins than their customers. I should have negotiated pricing further but assumed they were negotiating in good faith. Learned my lesson. I just hope other consumers read this review and learn from my mistake.

Instead, they barely finished our second floor and had none of our first floor done when we returned. On top of that, it took them an additional three days to finish the job. The final job included uneven floors, floors that creaked, and floors that were not evenly distributed. They clearly were in a hurry, with quality being a minor concern. They offered us $500 credit for a future job but their pricing for said future job was so outrageous it seemed a joke. Instead we went another direction. We used Empire for our addition 6 months later, and the quality difference is noticeable. The Empire floors are solid, even, and stable. The Molyneaux floors are uneven, inconsistently placed, and lacking quality for the price charged. Overall very disappointing.

I had three companies visit my house, including Nest Expressions. In addition to regular squared windows, my house also has a semi-circle window that wasn't covered & I was interested in seeing options for that as well. The owner visited & brought along all his window coverings. There were some fancy blinds that could darken a room or filter some light in (honeycomb shades, I think). After assessing the options, we decided to stay with the plantation shutters & decided to work with Nest expressions, over the other companies. They sell Hunter-Douglas brand products; though I don't know a whole lot about these type of products, that is a brand I have heard of. A lesser selling point to me, was that their products are USA made, which naturally I'm willing to buy if all else being equal. We liked the fact that we could get faux (fake) wood shutters in several shades. One of the other companies had only faux wood in white, which we didn't want. The owner measured each of my windows exactly, even though they're all pretty much the same, except for the bay window in the front of the house + the half-circle window. We were also presented a few options on the design of the large shutter how we wanted it opened & hinged I didn't agree to a contract at that point as I was still awaiting an estimate from one of the other vendors. But while waiting, we pretty much decided to use Nest Expressions. They weren't the cheapest option, but the owner worked with us to get the best deal possible. I was confident these would be of top quality. We also worked a bit on the sales tax, as I had a notion that they should be tax-free since they become fully attached, and thus, a part of the house itself. The owner also consulted his CPA & it turned out that it was somewhere in the middle as I recall. The time to have them (custom) made in the factory was about a month. They called me in advance to set a time & date. Everything went well. The installer was very professional & did the work quickly & cleaned-up afterward. I've not experienced any problems since the installation over a year ago.

At least the big box stores have a lifetime warranty where they will come out years later and stretch the carpet at no charge! And, they charged for removal of appliances but didn't have to do the work and never removed the charge which my wife paid because she hadn't realized it. When challenged I got some BS about this material extra cost or whatever but bottom line I didn't get reimbursed or anything. Near as I can figure is that in ignorance they paid the subcontractors who didn't admit they were overpaid or something. Contractors not employees and no recourse

We were told, after ordering the carpet, it would be in approximately two weeks. After three weeks without hearing from them we stopped in the store. They advised that the carpet was not ordered. Eventually the carpet was ordered and the carpet was installed. We never received a call on the day of installation as to the approximate time of arrival. After the installation I noticed carpet debris in the outside front of the house and porch that took me 25 minutes to pick up.
