Building Buddies remodeled one of…read moremy full bathrooms in 2024 (see my previous review for details) and another full bathroom and a half bathroom in 2025, and they did some handyman work for me in 2026. Building Buddies has a Facebook page, so through Facebook Messenger, I contacted the owner Jason to ask for estimates. He soon came to my house to view the proposed work, and he promptly emailed me estimates. Jason himself performed the remodeling of my bathrooms and the handyman work. He communicated about when he would arrive each day, and I thought that his work looked like a high quality. My attached photos show some of his work--tiled floors and installed bathtub, cabinets, toilets, faucets, and light fixture. (A different business installed the countertops and sinks, and I must still finish the painting and a few mirrors.) My husband and I feel very happy with our new bathrooms, and we will definitely consider hiring Building Buddies in the future to remodel our other bathroom, kitchen, and basement. As for the handyman work, Jason efficiently patched ceilings, replaced a window operator, replaced a light fixture, changed outdoor lightbulbs, and hung a bathroom mirror. He finished the work in a normal pace--significantly fewer hours than what a competing handyman company wanted to spend.

My customer spent a very large amount for a marble that I had used previously on 4 jobs. The marble we received was not the sample we received and had iron spots all throughout. Allyson was rude and cocky about my concerns. Within a week of this, they closed their doors and contacted the customer that they needed to pickup their remaining tile for another bathroom in a few days or it would not be possible to retrieve it. Obviously, they were not managed financially. I certainly would hope Allyson is never able to access another business again, as she is not qualified to be doing so. I regret doing any business with her and should have followed Susie when she parted ways with her.

Quality work, reliable contractors and great pricing…read more We originally hired Ray Tiling to gut our master bathroom and put in a whole new one. Our master bath was original to the house and was falling apart. We had several different estimates on the bathroom, but the price and quality of work couldn't compare to Ray Tiling. One major problem with the other contractors was that instead of removing the original flooring, they wanted to just tile over it. This would have cause a huge lip where the tile met the carpet in the hallway and would have looked ridiculous. Their reasoning was because it would take too much time and therefore increase the labor price. Ray Tiling came and when asked about how they would proceed with the floor, without thinking they recommended removing the original flooring before laying new tile. Since the bathroom, we have hired them to tile our kitchen and do numerous other construction projects around the house. We highly recommend Ray Tiling. They are a very trustworthy company and provide exceptional work.

I wish I could give them negative stars, they earned it…read more ProSource KNOWINGLY sold me a stone tile/backsplash product that MUST be cut wet. However, it contains a water soluble glue which makes this impossible as the stone falls off the mesh backing when it gets wet. I was NOT made aware of this when I purchased it and Prosource denied knowing the issue even existed until 2 months in on a phone call with Ed the showroom manager, who was dumb enough to admit they knew it was an issue. I spent countless hours calling and emailing both the manufacturer, Topcu, and ProSource attempting to learn a way to be able to install the product as my wife and I both really like it. I even purchased 3 additional new diamond blades in a vain attempt to cut it, because "this has never happened before". Then what I was told, and I still cannot believe they were stupid enough to suggest this, was to remove each individual stone from the backing, cut it wet, then glue it back on. After a ridiculous amount of back and forth the final answer the manufacturer said to do would cost more than the product itself did, take countless hours of work, be nearly impossible to do correctly and completely make the product un returnable. For an alleged high end product that cost over $300 per box. ProSource refused to take back the product except under unreasonable circumstances, only taking back non cut and non broken sheets, a 25% restocking fee AND my paying the freight back to the manufacturer in Georgia. The manufacturers rep admitted to me on multiple occasions that the situation was ridiculous but still I could not get an acceptable resolution from them either. I guess they expected me to lay down and take the abuse. Not this guy. I fought and I won...just like I told them I would. Now I get to warn you. Who is dumb enough to use a water soluble glue on a product that must be cut wet? Topcu. Who is both dumb enough to sell that product to consumers without telling them? Dave at ProSource Monroeville. Who is dumb enough to insist this has never happened before? Todd at ProSource Monroeville and Brian at Topcu. Who is dumb enough to admit this does happen and I was lied to repeatedly for over 2 months? Ed at Prosource Monroeville. Who was smart enough to give me my money back? PNC. You would be better off buying your supplies at a flea market. But if you want to buy this crap they sold me check the usual spots where people sell stuff, I will be listing it for sale there until someone buys it, which I expect will be a very long time.
