After a visit to "A local big-box store that has computer services" mom came home with a PC that was in absolute dire repair, with store provided bloat ware and there was nothing I could do. Which leads me to Epoch, a friend had told me about the service, so I reached out to see if they could do something local for my mom. After details were exchanged, they gave me a rough estimate of cost and away they went. After much PC cleaning, they managed to get mom up and running again and all the bloatware removed. They were very patient! I would definitely recommend them to all the remote-children out there who can't always solve the parents IT issues.

I never felt i was taken advantage of and when talking to out of state friends who also work with computers they felt i was fairly taken care of which to me was a big endorsement. The prices were fair and competitive. They have replaced components on my laptops and cleaned the electronics. i've brought in the computers for different problems, not just bad hard drives. I've also recommended a handful of friends to this place and they all very happy with whatever computer issues they needed help with. I kniw they recovered quite a bit of data for one friend for significantly less than what you would pay at a Geek Squad location. Timewise they were generally faster than the time needed that i was given.

After fails of day1 deliveries in Jersey (package suddenly disappears) over multiple years -- Jersey is home of the loosely back-ended delivery trucks -- I resolved some years ago to clicky my way to a same-day iPhone on day1 and I haven't failed yet. Last days I readied my order with options, color, trade in info and more to be ready for the clicky war at 5am pacific on day1. I was hoping for Delaware to save some sales tax, but at 5:01am, pickup slots were already at 12:45. My card didn't go through fast enough, so it was 1:30, then 3:45 then day2. Ugg. Note to self : choose a PM time to start and you might get it. Well, the drive was worth it. Outdoor mall is great in this weather, and so convenient to park and walk in. Covid? Only sign of it was a very few mask-clad folks. Favorite part this time was the automatic transfer of my esim as part of the migration! No more fighting with phone reps and qrcodes!

Scott had me bring the computer in the same day, which I really appreciated. Long story short, the issue was a failed solid-state hard drive. The service was fast, honest, and well-done. 5 stars -- and then some. Highly recommended.

He spent 15 minutes discussing possible causes, pricing and options - which was a pleasant surprise. Most places will simply tell you that they can fix any problem you have and just bring your PC to them. So after more research I was able to recover data from my PC much to my relief, even though it still doesn't boot up properly. I spoke with Jim again today and explained what I'd done. He advised me that my options were to either buy a new PC or spend $175 to reinstall Windows. Considering my PC is 9 years old, I'll opt to buy a new one. And the best part of the whole experience was that Jim actually gave me some advice on what to look for in a new PC. Even though I never had Jim fix my PC, I'm really glad that I spoke with him. He's a class act and I appreciate him taking time to help me even though he wasn't getting paid. Needless to say if I ever have PC issues in the future I'll call Jim.
