Scott was outstanding to work with. My hard drive crashed. Data needed to be recovered and transferred to a new drive. Scott was able to work with me as soon as he opened his door. He explained in detail exactly what he would be doing and was very optimistic that everything would work out the way that I wanted. Very pleased with the work AND the price was less than what the chain store would have charged based on their estimate (before they said they could not fix it). We had a HP laptop with a crack in the keyboard cover, that affected the power staying on, so it wasn't just a cosmetic issue. The laptop is a little over 2 yrs. old(new to us) and perfect condition other than the crack which was due solely to poor design(HP), not abuse. HP hinges are apparently notorious for being too stiff for the thickness of their plastic keyboard covers in recent years, hence the crack. HP does not support almost ANY parts for it(Only two were listed on their website - not what I needed of course). So after going to two different national chain repair shops, which one had it for 2 months to tell us they couldn't get the part required (Not Circuit city the other electronics store)!!!! Another mercifully, had it less than 24 hrs. but they weren't allowed to work on it either without new manufacturers original parts to install. I saw on YouTube that this computer was far too difficult to dis-assemble for me, and it wasn't designed with any thought about requiring repair replacing parts. We gave it one last shot to save our son's laptop - Egghead computer Solutions. Scott hooked us up. He gave us a part number to search for 2nd hand options and offered links for us to review condition before purchasing. We bought it directly and the part arrived to me in 2 days. I dropped it off and he began work the next day. It was ready within just a few days(same week) even though we told Scott not to rush it, since school was out for summer. He explained everything, kept us updated on his progress and offered helpful hints to avoid any future occurrence since the potential problem still exists (Weak plastic for stiff hinges). He gave it some extra TLC to try and help alleviate the situation too. I needed a new mother board for my laptop and Scott did a great job installing a new one

I had recently built a computer and it was working fine for about 2 weeks. One day I turn it on and it will not post. I figure it was most likely my ram or motherboard, but I wanted a second opinion. I got into contact with Scott the same day and I was able to get it to him within 2 days. After I dropped it off he called me a couple of hours later and said that it was most likely the motherboard. I returned my old one and was able to get a new one for free with my warranty. I rebuilt my pc with the new motherboard and it is running fine now. Scott from Egghead Computer was great! I had to buy a new PC as my old one was crashing. I am not a techie, so I needed help in transferring all my emails and docs from old to new PC and needed help to cable up the new one. I called Egghead on a Saturday and left a message. Got a call back that weekend. Scott came to my house, spent several hours there transferring data and sorting thru the wire spaghetti behind my PC, printer, etc. He encountered some issues but solved them.
